I have a 16GB iPhone 4S which is only 11 months old (less than one year) and running iOS 7.1.1. Sometimes the sound gets quiet, especially if i lower the volume in Instagram...
This problem never happened when I was running iOS 6, but it started when I upgraded to iOS 7.0, making the upgrade to iOS 7 something I regret.

My earpeice volume has gone very quiet even though the sound level is up on high. Is this something i can fix or is this a warranty issue.

View 5 Replies View RelatedGot a 4s. All of a sudden the podcasts I listen to are really quiet same with the music. I have to have it at 70 percent to hear anything in my headphones. Buddy has same podcast and it's so loud I can hear it outside his earbuds. Same headphones. I never noticed this before. I basically have to jam my earbuds super far into my ear canal to even hear anything. Sound check and limit are off.

I've had my iPhone 5 for about 6 months and its worked fine but the last few weeks the call sound has been really quiet. I can barely hear what the other person is saying. The sound plays fine for everything else though like music, ringtones, alarms etc. It definitely hasn't got the protective film on it still it doesn't have a screen protector on it either and the sound bar is up to the highest volume possible

Every so often these sounds become very quiet (adjusting the volume does not help) and only switching off and then on again restores them to normal levels

The volume used to be fine on my Samsung S6 but in the last couple of months it has gone quiet - even Speaker is too quiet if there is any surrounding noise at all. This was not a problem when I first purchased it about 6 months ago. Now, I just cannot hear what callers are saying unless there is absolute quiet where I am. My hearing is fine!

It is easily reproduced by choosing ringtone sound and previewing or setting countdown timer in the clock app and listening to the expiration alarm. Checked sound and notification settings and didn't see any choice for turning a feature like this on or off.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have had a white Z5 Compact for a week and have now noticed that the bottom speaker is much louder than the top, ruining the stereo effect. I am sure it did not come this way out of the box. I didn't notice until after the recent firmware update (32.0.A.6.152), but cannot know whether this is the cause of the problem. I went through the hassle of factory reset and the phone still has the problem. I haven't subjected the phone to any physical trauma at all and will be returning it.

When using my iPhone 4 to do anything like listen to music, watch a video or just using apps, the volume bar disappears from the screen and the sound stops. When I get texts and things sometimes it just vibrates and doesn't make a noise. I know the speakers still work because when I go to the settings and touch the sound bar it makes the test noise to show you how loud it will be.
This problem is the same when using my headphones. I've tried syncing it to my laptop & making sure it has the latest iOS version.

I just got the 5s and when placing or receiving a call, the sound is very low. I can barley hear the person on the other end. if I switch it to the speaker I have no problems hearing them. I can barely hear lock and unlock sounds but everything else is silent. I checked all volume levels and all are at full level. I am baffled here! The last 2 times it happened, the volume just came back to normal on it's own.
I was able to get sound back by rebooting the phone...but this is a big issue! Can't hear calls or texts coming in!
