I updated my instagram app and when it got done updating it no longer showed, I went to the app store and it showed the option "open" and I touched it but nothing happened. I've tried turning the restrictions on and off but nothing happens.

My text messaging symbol wont show up on my home screen. I have tried rebooting my phone, taking out the battery, the sim card and the memory card, but it still wont show up. i can search for the the texts in my messages, but i am not alerted nor can i see when i get messages without searching.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm going from a Samsung Galaxy S3 to a Nexus 6. I never thought it would be so different! On the GS3, certain icons would show "event counters" or whatever they're called in the top right corner. The email icon would show me how many unread emails I had. The Text Messaging app would show me how many unread texts i had. Facebook would show me how many unread notifications I had, etc etc... They were all the same, a number in a little orange bubble in the top right corner of each respective icon.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI downloaded the beweather free app today and it seems to work great and all but the home screen icon doesnt show the updated temperature after i refresh my beweather free... the weird thing is that it shows the updated temperature when the icon is part of the full menu of icons when pressing the menu button to see all the icons but it is not updated when looking at the home screen layout with just one row of icons if u know what im saying.
View 7 Replies View RelatedAfter upgrading to v40, I've compared the new homescreen to the old homescreen and to the old homescreen with v21-31, these are my findings.
- The old homescreen on v40 does not have the email notification that Nokia introduced a short while ago and which was obviously VERY well recieved globally.
- The new homescreen on v40 has kinetic scrolling contacts which is, um, cute. It has the ability to control the music player (What I found to be very buggy, crashing it by simply pressing 'forward' when it's playing a folder with 1 song).
- The new homescreen on v40 does not have calendar and tasks, probably for the space the new music player-thing takes. This was my FAVORITE thing on the homescreen and I am sure I'm not alone.
I truly hope Nokia addresses these issues by either returning the email notifications to the old homescreen or somehow allowing to see the calendar and tasks on the new homescreen. Or both.
Seems to have happened after I updated the app today....can see my page, can search, but can't refresh feed (iphone 6 plus).

This problem never happened when I was running iOS 6, but it started when I upgraded to iOS 7.0, making the upgrade to iOS 7 something I regret.

I have an old Apple ID that I no longer use so now I have to delete my instagram app and reinstall it under my new Apple ID. the question is will my instagram account be deleted when I uninstall it?

I went onto instagram and it kept on saying it couldn't refresh the feed. So I turned my phone on and off, deleted and re-installed the app, but when I try to login it says: 'Error: Sorry, we couldn't connect to our login server. Please confirm you have an internet connection and try again.'I have home wifi as well as 3 bars of reception with optus, I'm at home and it has never done this until today. I tried resetting my network setting but it is still saying the same thing. Safari and facebook still work.

I've recently had some problems when trying to post a photo on Instagram. It doesn't always happen, but is really frustrating when it does. I'll take a photo with my iPhone 5, edit it in an app (Aviary) to make it super crisp and bright. When I try to post it in Instagram it'll shift a bit and turn blurry.I've even tried with untouched photos and it does the same. I've also restarted the phone and deleted/reinstalled the app.

I linked it to my Facebook and Twitter accounts, but what is the value of the connection to Instagram if you can't open an Instagram account if you don't have an iPhone or Android device? View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had my Galaxy s6 for about a week now and I've been very satisfied with my phone. One weird thing I've noticed...Instagram seems to be using a ton of my battery life. I'll usually get around 16 hours or so on my battery, which I'm definitely satisfied with, but when I check my battery stats at the end of the day, Instagram will have used over 15%+ of my battery life. I have tried closing the app every time I switch out of it. I've tried Force Stopping the app, but it seems to continue to drain the battery in the background.
Could this be a glitch with the battery stats? Or is Instagram really using that much battery life? It's by far my largest consumer of battery and I hardly use the app..it's a bit frustrating. I don't want to uninstall it.I have been vigilant about keeping Instagram closed and it still seems to be using up my battery. The problem is that it seems to be using battery (assuming my battery stats are correct) even when I don't have it open.
I was running out of storage, so I moved/deleted some pictures and albums, via My Files, and inadvertently deleted the instagram folder in my gallery. Now, none of the pictures I upload to instagram are being saved! I uninstalled, and re-installed instagram. Re-started my phone, but still not saving... i even created a new folder entitled Instagram, but it won't save there. I don't know what else to try.

All I know is, I was scrolling down my Instagram feed and my phone just went black. a few seconds later it looked as if it was restarting but it got as far as the nokia screen and then just went black again. it kept doing that all night until the battery went dead and it stopped trying to start up. there was one point in time where I was trying to hold down the power button to turn it completely off and an exclamation point popped up on the screen and then went away I tried charging it by connecting to a wall outlet as well as to my laptop but then all it does is show the charging screen and then maybe 5 seconds later it will try to start up and then go black again.

My instagram and snapchat will not refresh or load at all unless I turn off my wifi and use my data. I've tried restarting my phone and resetting it by taking out the battery and stuff but nothing works.
So to make it clear the apps work while using Data but does not work when Im using my WiFi. And just last week I could use my WiFi for the apps and now i cant. I haven't updated my phone at all since then either.
I have been searching for something that can give me like "LockScreen" apps information, the calender, on the home screen, so the calender occupaies the first two or three rows with the calender information and the rest is for apps.I would rather have that then the information on the lockscreen, since I really love to keep my lockscreen clean =)
