Jun 9, 2012The other day I reset my homescreen. Now a lot of my app icons are missing. When I look for them in the search function the come up and I can access them that way but I can't figure out how to get the actual icon back! They are definitely not hidden in any folders.

If I choose the restart option, all of the games that are stored on my sd card lose their icons in the games folder. They all appear with the android market icon.
If I remove them and re-personalize the folder the icons are restored.

Nov 8, 20151. How do you have a homescreen with no icons? I have my favorite apps in folders along the bottom so don't need anything else on the screen. If I try this, android deletes the page and uses my second page as the homescreen (full of widgets).

Mar 18, 2015My Instagram icon on my homescreen seems to have another picture or image on top of it.. Sort of replacing it... The first time this happened to me all my homescreen icons turned into the little android guy but I didn't get to screenshot this.. The only fix was restarting the phone.. Is it a virus attack or something.

Jun 2, 2011After the GB update, anytime that I mount/unmount the SD card, any icons that i have created dissapear from the home pages. This is only for apps that I moved to the SD card. I've tried rebooting, and no change. Any thoughts? BTW, I did a full wipe and reset after the GB installation.
With Froyo, if the card was unmounted, any app moved to the SD card, the shortcut icons were shown as generic with a gear icon. However, once mounted, the the app icon would be restored.

On the GS3, certain icons would show "event counters" or whatever they're called in the top right corner. The email icon would show me how many unread emails I had. The Text Messaging app would show me how many unread texts i had. Facebook would show me how many unread notifications I had, etc etc... They were all the same, a number in a little orange bubble in the top right corner of each respective icon.

Jan 15, 2010After upgrading to v40, I've compared the new homescreen to the old homescreen and to the old homescreen with v21-31, these are my findings.
- The old homescreen on v40 does not have the email notification that Nokia introduced a short while ago and which was obviously VERY well recieved globally.
- The new homescreen on v40 has kinetic scrolling contacts which is, um, cute. It has the ability to control the music player (What I found to be very buggy, crashing it by simply pressing 'forward' when it's playing a folder with 1 song).
- The new homescreen on v40 does not have calendar and tasks, probably for the space the new music player-thing takes. This was my FAVORITE thing on the homescreen and I am sure I'm not alone.
I truly hope Nokia addresses these issues by either returning the email notifications to the old homescreen or somehow allowing to see the calendar and tasks on the new homescreen. Or both.
BB Storm2 9550/9520 :: Hiding Icons - Way To Hide 8 Icons?
May 20, 2010This is not the same post as the other "hiding icons." I checked. What I was wondering was; is there a way to hide the 8 icons I have showing at the bottom of my screen, until I touch the screen? The idea is when my phone isn't in use I would like the icons to go away. Sort of like a screen saver. It's a BB Storm 2, 9550.

I have deleted it from the applications list and do not see it in the modules list but the icon still shows.I also have icons that have the "Hide" checked but are not really hidden. Last week all my pictures dissappeared. loaded them back up. Yesterday contacts started dissappearing. Today my email accounts have all gone apart from icloud and I can't get them set up again. Have I just got a lemon or has my pc picked up a cold?

Mar 19, 2012Just got a new iphone 4s. I haven't had a chance to upload my entire address book, but some of the contacts I have entered have disappeared. This is the second time this has happened and I haven't even had the phone a week yet. The first time, I thought that I just didn't save the info correctly... but only some of the contacts are missing, not all of them. I'd like to know what the issue is before I enter all of my contacts. Again, I haven't even plugged the phone into the computer yet, so it cant be a syncing issue.

I also noticed that the battery time has gotten worse and after the update the camera won't work at all when i press the icon in locked screen, the screen "jumps" a little bit but it won't start it.

May 25, 2012I noticed yesterday and today that contacts are disappearing one by one from my iPhone 4s. What is going on? I've read some of these other threads but turning off iCloud and merging and all that did not work. I haven't changed anything on my phone, the contacts are just suddenly disappearing little by little.

Jun 5, 2014I have the Google Glass app on my iPhone 4s. I can confirm this by swiping down the center of the home page, search for the app which DOES show up and I am able to launch it. But I don't want to launch it. I want to DELETE it and restore it because it has become corrupted. If I go to the App Store, it indicates the Google Glass app is installed, and offers to open it. I want to DELETE it. However, the icon for the app is now missing. I have *very carefully* looked at every icon on my iPhone. The Google Glass icon is nowhere to be found. I have repeated this search myself at least four times, and I even asked a friend to review the icons, who also confirmed that the Google Glass icon was not present. Two questions: how do I delete an app whose icon does not appear on the phone even though it clearly *is* on the phone because it can be launched? Alternatively, how do I make the disappearing or invisible app's icon reappear so that I may delete and restore the app?

Jul 19, 2010My iphone 3gs is jailbroken, and everytime I install the Facebook and Fandango apps on my phone, the icons become present on the last page, shows it downloading, but the second it is done, the icon disappears! If I plug the phone in iTunes and go to the Apps tab, I look at each page and both icons appear there, but not on the phone itself. Under settings, it says the Facebook app is installed, but I can't get the icon to come up. None of the other apps do this. Tried downloading from both iTunes and via the phone. Why is this?

Apr 12, 2012I recently added a new album to my 'iPhone' playlist in iTunes which I sync with my iPhone.
However, when I went to my phone, and searched under artist, the album was not there! The two other albums I have by that artist are there but not the new one.
What's weirder is that it DOES appear on my iPhone if I search for it under the album tab. But it does not come up when looking under the artist tab (just the other two albums that I have by that artist).
