I saw a video of guys Droid where the icons could be spun in a 3D circle on one home-screen. All the launcher apps I have seen rotate multiple screens in 3D.
View 2 RepliesMy Instagram icon on my homescreen seems to have another picture or image on top of it.. Sort of replacing it... The first time this happened to me all my homescreen icons turned into the little android guy but I didn't get to screenshot this.. The only fix was restarting the phone.. Is it a virus attack or something.
View 1 Replies View RelatedHad my SII for 3 days now and am loving it but as of 2 hours ago my screen will no longer auto-rotate.
Earlier, via orange swapables, I was watching skysports with the screen held horizontally with no problems at all. Even after that I was sending a message using swype (what a cool feature by the way), holding it horizontally.
Since then I've not been able to rotate the screen. It is set to on via the notifications panel and under the settings menu.
I've put a new Case Mate Tough Case on as of this morning but was watching the football after I had put the case on. I have since tried removing the case to see if it works without, but with no luck.
I've checked the firmware and stuff and am running all the latest versions.
I've done the keypad *#0*# and checked the sensor test page, accelerometer, gyroscope sensor and magnetic sensor are showing different figures as I move the phone around but the image test does not rotate.
Under settings > display I've ran the calibration tests and they all ran fine.
New issue I've never seen before, on my girlfriends d3 the homescreen refuses to rotate. I toggled the auto rotate setting, rebooted the phone, no change. Just for giggles I installed go launcher, and now the homescreen rotates properly.

View 6 Replies View RelatedFirstly, The Voice talk section just keeps popping up, also a disclaimer from Samsung about Vlingo comes up quite a bit! Also even though I don't have auto rotate on, the screen keeps rotating around which is quite annoying! It freezes quite a bit as well. And the battery doesn't seem to charge as well. When I grabbed my phone this morning I noticed that the icons on the bottom of homescreen were gone and all that shows is an up arrow. When I hit the menu button and went to manage panels, the box for all was checked and greyed out and I cannot change that option. Switching off and back on works, although sometimes I have to do that a couple of times.
The other day I reset my homescreen. Now a lot of my app icons are missing. When I look for them in the search function the come up and I can access them that way but I can't figure out how to get the actual icon back! They are definitely not hidden in any folders.

I have had several occasions on turning on my AT&T Galaxy S2 phone where all 7 of my screens were blank except for the 4 icons at the bottom. In fact, every screen had a message in the middle saying to drag items to add them to the screen, like it was *supposed* to be blank. Before today, turning the phone off and on again resolved this.In fact, when I clicked on the Applications icon at the bottom, got nothing but a spinning circle. After a minute or two, I pulled the battery, returned it, and powered up again. This time, everything is again normal. But I am concerned. This phone is just 5 weeks old.

most pages stay correct but the main page 1 keeps changing from how i set it on rebooting.

So, every time I update one, I have to reinstall all of the shortcuts on my home screen. Have already done a couple of factory resets and tried other sd cards.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm going from a Samsung Galaxy S3 to a Nexus 6. I never thought it would be so different! On the GS3, certain icons would show "event counters" or whatever they're called in the top right corner. The email icon would show me how many unread emails I had. The Text Messaging app would show me how many unread texts i had. Facebook would show me how many unread notifications I had, etc etc... They were all the same, a number in a little orange bubble in the top right corner of each respective icon.

View 6 Replies View RelatedAfter upgrading to v40, I've compared the new homescreen to the old homescreen and to the old homescreen with v21-31, these are my findings.
- The old homescreen on v40 does not have the email notification that Nokia introduced a short while ago and which was obviously VERY well recieved globally.
- The new homescreen on v40 has kinetic scrolling contacts which is, um, cute. It has the ability to control the music player (What I found to be very buggy, crashing it by simply pressing 'forward' when it's playing a folder with 1 song).
- The new homescreen on v40 does not have calendar and tasks, probably for the space the new music player-thing takes. This was my FAVORITE thing on the homescreen and I am sure I'm not alone.
I truly hope Nokia addresses these issues by either returning the email notifications to the old homescreen or somehow allowing to see the calendar and tasks on the new homescreen. Or both.
Screen on iPhone does not rotate when I rotate phone, is there a setting?

The pictures in official Samsung Gallery app do not rotate. In the rest of official apps the rotation works and also in other gallery apps. I have unlocked SM-G920I phone. I guess it has to be some software issue....

View 2 Replies View RelatedFor a while now I've notice a gradient on the bottom and top of home screen. I first noticed it when I wanted to apply an all black wallpaper, it makes some of the wallpapers I want look weird with the gradient. It doesn't matter which launcher I use, it's always like that. I don't want to reset my phone because I don't want to have to re-download my apps and update them. I'm not sure if it's from the latest update because it wasn't like that when I first got this phone. Also, it's not like that on every page, just the home screen.
