New issue I've never seen before, on my girlfriends d3 the homescreen refuses to rotate. I toggled the auto rotate setting, rebooted the phone, no change. Just for giggles I installed go launcher, and now the homescreen rotates properly.
View 9 RepliesFor the last few days, my phone will not rotate. The only app that is rotating is YouTube, but even gmail and the stock message+ is not rotating to landscape. I checked all the settings and everything is correct from what I can see.

My screen will not auto-rotate when I move the phone.If I open an app or watch a video that is in landscape it till rotate, but when I close the app/video the screen will not rotate back.I have to turn off the screen, rotate the phone and the unlock the phone to get the screen to rotate.I have my display settings set to auto-rotate.I have this issue using Blur launcher, GoLauncher, and ADW.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have auto-rotate checked in the display settings. When I slide out the keyboard or plug into the HD Dock the screen auto-rotates to landscape. This makes sense. However, at all other times the screen is locked in portrait. How do I enable auto rotate of the main/home screen without having to slide the keyboard out?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI bought this phone off a freind so obviously I don't have the original charger, but its still the usb charger including the wall part.... the battery is now dead (through usage) and when i plug it into the wall i got nothin. The lil white light on the side comes on when i plug it into the pc but it doesnt appear to be charging there either...Now I understand there's something about USB devices starting at 100mA untill it requests more power but mine is still only at 100mA. I'm thinking its not charging cause its not requesting more power

View 9 Replies View Relatedfor a lighter topic i thought i would share how i setup my homescreen. i dont like to scroll around screens looking for stuff or open the app drawer looking for it either.ne of my favorite apps is Folder Organizer and i make good use of it on all my Android devices. i also realize that the D3 has a similar built in function for folders but it is not nearly as feature rich as what i use so i prefer my 3rd party app for this.Here are a few screen shots:i have blanked out some pics and personal info)hen i choose any of the icons not on my dock i get all the apps i setup to be associated with that folder. here is my tools folder open. if you have more apps than can fit on the screen its ok the folder will scroll to show you all the apps:
here is a shoot of my screen where i labeled my icons so you can see where i am putting my stuff but of course this is just to show you and my screen does not have these labels. i dont like labels on anything since i know what they are:i use folder organizer to make new custom direct links for the camera and camcorder since i like those icons better and i dont want them labeled. you can use icons from any icon set that you have which is nice or folder organizer comes with a lot itself.this is not an ad for folder organizer it is just what i use and i thought i would share my setup.
I accidently pushed the clock up to the remove part at the top of the screen and now its gone .

By crashing I mean that you return from the camera, online, text message, or whatever and your homescreen has to rebuild itself. Mine is doing it more than its not and was wondering if its an app i have installed or do others crash too?
View 14 Replies View RelatedI just noticed this happen while I was trying to swipe the homescreen lock while the phone was in the middle of rotating from portrait to landscape, but my background reset itself to the default background while I was trying to do this. This only seems to be an issue for the "non blur" launcher. I have never encountered this using a third party launcher.

View 3 Replies View RelatedGot a picture sent to my X from my son's X. He took the photo in portrait mode. When I received it, as I was holding the phone upright (portrait) the photo was showing sideways. I rotated the phone, and the photo rotated yet again so its again sideways to the orientation of the phone. The only way to see the photo in the correct orientation is to hold the phone upside down, i.e. hard buttons at the top. I never noticed this before and it doesn't do it with pictures that were already on the phone. I looked at the one he took on his phone and it is in the correct orientation. I opened the picture both in the stock messaging app and in Handcent and its the same in both.
View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter the last update, when ever an app on my sd card gets an update, all of the apps I put on the sd card disappear from the home screen. So, every time I update one, I have to reinstall all of the shortcuts on my home screen. Have already done a couple of factory resets and tried other sd cards.

View 15 Replies View RelatedThis is my second Razr. I noticed from the beginning that this unit is much "tighter" than my previous one. The power button and volume rocker don't wobble at all and sit tight. Now, when I was browsing a lot of heavy flash web sites last night in landscape mode, I hit home button and the screen rotated to portrait, so I rotated the phone as well. Then I go into Apps and the screen flips back to landscape even though I hold it vertically.
Hit home portrait mode, hit browser and it turns to landscape by itself. Holding the phone in portrait I unchecked the Auto-rotate, and the browser is back to portrait, check the A-R box and goes back to landscape. Reboot the phone and its fine. Long story short I can somewhat reproduce it when I make the phone warm up in landscape mode. Anyway the "tightness" of the phone stops gyro from rotating when the unit heats up?
I just go my Droid Razr Maxx two days ago, and after installing a few apps, I tried performing a search in the All Apps screen. An error message popped up saying The application Home-screen (process com.Motorola.home) has stopped unexpectedly. try again. and then the Homescreen reboots and everything works except in the All Apps.

I can add toggle widgets from the Android Market. I can't re-add the Motorola widgets, but also, the space where they should be is not available to add another widget either. i.e. I've now got a dead/unusable space on my home screen.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have discovered that all of the pictures that I take in portrait orientation once emailed to someone they are switched to landscape. The pictures can not be rotated back to the proper orientation with out opening Paint program and rotating them manually. I take hundreds and thousands of pics of my life (kids, vacations etc..) and do not want to have to manipulate them later on once moved to my computer. If you lower the picture quality to 6mp it fixes the problem, also if you shoot the pic in HDR mode. I should not have to do this to make it work. Fail.
