On a phone call, the earpiece will not work. However, speakerphone will work and earphones will work.It refuses to play media audio, either through the earpiece or the speakerphone. However, it will play through the earphones.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI bought this phone off a freind so obviously I don't have the original charger, but its still the usb charger including the wall part.... the battery is now dead (through usage) and when i plug it into the wall i got nothin. The lil white light on the side comes on when i plug it into the pc but it doesnt appear to be charging there either...Now I understand there's something about USB devices starting at 100mA untill it requests more power but mine is still only at 100mA. I'm thinking its not charging cause its not requesting more power

View 9 Replies View RelatedI got my Razr Maxx replaced under Asurion warranty, got sent a "Certified Like New" from Verizon, and I can't hear people through the earpiece. It's way quieter than my other phone, even at the loudest volume, and then it crackles at that volume. Can I fix this myself or do I need to take it to Verizon and demand that they give me a good phone without having to pay their crap replacement fee?

The phone sees the device, asks for the 0000 but gives a pairing error as the wrong code.Plantronics tells me they only hardcode 0000 (zeros) into the headset and the phone says it is the wrong code.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Droid 3 and the bluetooth headset I have does not autoconnect (paired but not connected). I have to do it manually. My Droid 1 would autoconnect just fine. I don't see any option to auto connect. I saw some mention somewhere that there might be a code issue and someone sent something to google. I did not know if there was a fix for this. This was going on before and after the update.

It was ringing from the earpiece speaker for no reason. No text, email, call, Nothing... The only way to get it to stop was to hold down the power and volume keys and do a reboot.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI want to like this phone so much but it keeps giving me problems. First, I am having the random reboot problem that is well documented on this and many other forums, so I won't go into that. One other thing that has been happening more frequently however is a problem with call volume. The phone will spontaneously stop using the earpiece for call audio and send the audio to the speakerphone on the back with the lowest volume setting. Adjusting the volume while in the call does not change anything, nor does turning on/off the speakerphone.This occurs during both in-coming and out-going calls. All other phone audio plays at normal volume levels, its just the audio during calls. It is extremely frustrating as the only way to fix it is to reboot the phone, so I have to hang up with whoever I am talking to and call back. Does anyone know any way to solve this problem? I'm hoping the pending Gingerbread update fixes these issues, but I am ready to return the phone and get something else if these aren't fixed.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have found that the earpiece volume after the JB update, when you pick up a call is very loud and can't be lowered unless you rock the volume buttons during the call. Even if you leave the volume low during the call, on any subsequent calls the volume reverts back to being very lound and you have to do it all over again. I didn't have this issue on ICS. I did notice it on the leaked OTA before the official OTA also. When I reverted back to ICS after the leak and before the official OTA, the issue fixed itself.

Suddenly the mouthpiece and earpiuece stop working as I am unable to listen to incoming calls and the reciever of my call is unable to listen to me. The phone rings fine but there is no voice. Even when I am making a call, I dint hear the ring tone whereas the reciever phone is ringing. This problem can be resolved by wiping all my data (format) and reactivating my enterprise account.

However, I cannot hear any sound coming out of the earpiece or speakerphone and the person on the other end of the line cannot hear me and the iPhone shows that we are connected. I use apps like Skype and Viber and I am able to make and receive phone calls fine. I can hear the caller and they can hear me. I restarted my iphone, I did a hard reset. Anyway, does anyone know the default download folder if you save a ringtone from a text sent from someone, like the Verizon site? I mounted the phone and it's no where on the SD Card. I also have a graphical interface app for the system folders and can't find it, but there are so many folders and no search feature. Anyone happen to know where a file would save by default? Reason being, it saved twice, so I have 2 copies on the list and I would also like to copy the file to another folder.

Since the update, we can no longer get back to "home" while on the media dock if we were to open an application while on the dock. The only way to get there again is to re-dock the phone. Pushing the home button doesn't work, neither does tapping the notification item that says connected to multimedia dock.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI have the OEM Motorola Car Dock connected with the combined USB audio/power cable. Whenever I dock my Droid 4, the media volume changes to a default setting (somewhere around 90% of max if I had to guess) and cannot be changed with the volume buttons.
This is a huge problem for me as it causes distortion from my car speakers; I need the media volume to be less than ~70% to prevent this.
If I connect the phone via the 3.5mm jack instead of USB, the media volume can be adjusted normally and I can avoid the distortion...but that requires two cables instead of one and I'd have to connect/disconnect the 3.5mm cable every time I am in my car.
tl;dr Is there any way to change the media volume setting when using the USB port for audio output?
For some reason I occassionally cannot get the volume to increase in media, such as Netflix. My solution has been to close the app and reopen.

View 12 Replies View Relatedusing OpenCore (under the stock audio player), the media player will not play newer MP3 files with high bit-rate encoding. Any of my MP3 files encoded in such a manner come up unsupported and will not play. However, lo and behold, I put the MP3s on my ORIGINAL DROID, and they play just fine using Stagefright (under the stock audio player) in Froyo. Attempting to use Stagefright on the X2 results in skipping/stuttering with these files (though there are no issues with other files). So, what now? After all of the music skipping/stuttering issues, certain MP3 files are now just completely unsupported? What gives? I continue to be completely and utterly let down by this POS phone and the complete lack of support.
