I have a Droid 3 and the bluetooth headset I have does not autoconnect (paired but not connected). I have to do it manually. My Droid 1 would autoconnect just fine. I don't see any option to auto connect. I saw some mention somewhere that there might be a code issue and someone sent something to google. I did not know if there was a fix for this. This was going on before and after the update.
View 4 RepliesNew Razr Maxx and Plantronics Explorer 240 Bluetooth earpiece will not pair. The phone sees the device, asks for the 0000 but gives a pairing error as the wrong code.Plantronics tells me they only hardcode 0000 (zeros) into the headset and the phone says it is the wrong code.

I have paired my Bionic with our courdless phone - Panasonic KX-TG6581 - The cordless phone with bluetooth link works like a headphone device, and calls can be answered on the cordless phone while at home.
My problem is that the Bionic does not reconnect to the phone after a Bionic power cycle - I have to go back to the bluetooth device on the Bionic and hit connect.
My Motorola Droid worked perfectly with this device
I have both a CommandOne bluetooth, and a Jabra Stone....both of which pair with my Droid X, but don't communicate....they both did at one time (the CommandOne stopped communicating during a conversation)....the Jabra who knows when it quit. Now I have two BT's neither of which I can use. I keep thinking I must be doing something wrong, but damned if I can figure it out. This should be pretty straight forward. I've turned off BT, and the restarted the phone, done multiple Discoveries, multiple retrys at connecting.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to pair my MAXX to my Parrot CK3000 car kit since the ICS update with no success. Every time the phone is near the car kit, the car kit asks "Please pair device" whether the phone is paired or not. If paired, it won't connect (tapping on the device icon on the phone (under Bluetooth) produces nothing). If I forget the device and repair, I get a "pairing successful" from the car kit, but no connections, even when I make a call from the phone.
Is there a way I can force connect or get the darn connection to occur? SmartActions is disabled, in case that makes a difference. Yes, it paired and worked properly under Gingerbread.
My bluetooth works fine on other devices, but, I am having issues connecting to my car's built in system. Has anyone run into similar issues? The indicator on the car comes and goes (it has paired) but, the call button on the car won't work. The car and phone seem to be fighting each other because the strength signal on the car goes up and down and then intermittantly off.
View 6 Replies View RelatedRecently when I turn on bluetooth and the bluetooth device, media doesn't connect until I go into Bluetooth settings. I can sit there and wait 30 seconds after it's connected, go into Bluetooth settings, and watch it say "no media" then connect within a second. It's like the secretary opens up her spreadsheet but then doesn't start working until I enter the room. It does connect to phone, but I usually use it for media, and regardless, if I've set the device to use phone and media, it should connect them automatically at the same time always.

My husband's I-Phone (AT&T was worked with this car as long as my Droid has. But the HandsFree has no trouble connecting to his IPhone. My Droid also cannot find my husband's Plantronics hands-free earphone. The OS appears to be the latest version as I checked and no updates are available.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI got my Razr Maxx replaced under Asurion warranty, got sent a "Certified Like New" from Verizon, and I can't hear people through the earpiece. It's way quieter than my other phone, even at the loudest volume, and then it crackles at that volume. Can I fix this myself or do I need to take it to Verizon and demand that they give me a good phone without having to pay their crap replacement fee?

EVERY morning, I have to go into my bluetooth settings and click the _only_ paired device to connect. When I do, it connects with no issues.
All I want the S5 to do is connect when it gets in range (in range since bluetooth is always on).
I doesn't do this by itself. Why? I do not have any issues pairing. It just doesn't auto connect.
I have a Blackberry 8520 with the latest software. My Bury CV 9040 also has the latest software. Everything works well except for auto connect to the CV 9040. I would like it to connect when I turn the ignition on which activates the CV 9040 but I have to push the auto connect button each time which is not the end of the world but an irritation!

Can I configure my phone or PC to not do so. I prefere to connect HF not sooner than I will connect manually from phone, I make a phone call, or I play an audio file on phone. As I noticed active HF service limits BT bandwith drastically.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I just bought the S5 a few weeks ago and am having trouble pairing it to my Acura RDX. The previous two droids I had seemed to have no problem with this.
-The S5 is paired with the car, when an incoming call comes in the phone rings and so does the speakers in my car. I simply just hit the answer button on the steering wheel and it answers the call.
-The problem: So now I want to make a call and this is where the problem occurs. On my previous Droids I would just pull up the contact and click the phone dial button. After doing this the phone audio would automatically bump over to my car speakers as soon as the line started to ring.
-On the S5 I would go to a contacts name or dial a number and it never kicks over to the car speakers, I have to manually click the bluetooth icon in the corner of the screen every time. Its weird that it works fine for incoming calls, but when placing a call I have to select the bluetooth icon.
Is there an Auto connect bluetooth headset option? I hate having to always choose to send a phone call to my hands-free device. What's the point of a Bluetooth headset if I have to use the phone every time to connect to it?

On a phone call, the earpiece will not work. However, speakerphone will work and earphones will work.It refuses to play media audio, either through the earpiece or the speakerphone. However, it will play through the earphones.

It was ringing from the earpiece speaker for no reason. No text, email, call, Nothing... The only way to get it to stop was to hold down the power and volume keys and do a reboot.

First, I am having the random reboot problem that is well documented on this and many other forums, so I won't go into that. One other thing that has been happening more frequently however is a problem with call volume. The phone will spontaneously stop using the earpiece for call audio and send the audio to the speakerphone on the back with the lowest volume setting. Adjusting the volume while in the call does not change anything, nor does turning on/off the speakerphone.This occurs during both in-coming and out-going calls. All other phone audio plays at normal volume levels, its just the audio during calls. It is extremely frustrating as the only way to fix it is to reboot the phone, so I have to hang up with whoever I am talking to and call back. Does anyone know any way to solve this problem? I'm hoping the pending Gingerbread update fixes these issues, but I am ready to return the phone and get something else if these aren't fixed.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have found that the earpiece volume after the JB update, when you pick up a call is very loud and can't be lowered unless you rock the volume buttons during the call. Even if you leave the volume low during the call, on any subsequent calls the volume reverts back to being very lound and you have to do it all over again. I didn't have this issue on ICS. I did notice it on the leaked OTA before the official OTA also. When I reverted back to ICS after the leak and before the official OTA, the issue fixed itself.

I have a set of Jaybird JF3 Freedom BT headphones (fantastic running headphones BTW!) - both the Motoactv manual and the device itself tell me that when the Motoactv and my BT headset are in range of each other and powered on, they will auto-connect. Of the 30+ times I've used them, this only happened once. Every other time I have to go into Settings - Wireless - BT Headsets-JF3 Freedom and hit the "Reconnect" button - then they reconnect right away. One random time, they auto-connected. I didn't do anything different than I normally do.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI've had my AT&T S6 since launch. Paired my Jawbone ERA just fine. Made phone calls, voice commands, just fine.
About a week ago making calls using BT earpiece started getting wonky. The audio has a brief fade in and fade out as people talk. It also has a bit of an underwater sound.
Restarting the phone makes this problem go away for a short time then it returns. Before we throw up our hands and say "must be your BT device" let me share this...
1) Bluetooth audio between earpiece and G6 is fine for music and Google Maps - just seems to be on calls or using Google Now voice commands (EDIT)
2) When the fade/warble occurs and when a call is started, I hear four ring tones in a row. Restart the phone, make the call via BT and I hear two ring tones and BT audio is normal.
Because the BT earpiece was working fine a week ago I presume a recent update did something but the varied ring tone would suggest something with AT&T.
When my phone is connected to my car's bluetooth (Belkin Aircast) it auto picks up after the first ring. This is very annoying for 2 reasons:
1) If I don't want to speak to the person I should be able to ignore it.
2) When the call comes in and I'm listening to the stereo I have to switch to the auxiliary before I can use the phone but the person calling hears whatever I'm listening to.
Anyway to disable the auto answer?
Previously I was using a Bold 9700 handheld and was able to pair it with my Platronics 975 Discovery Bluetooth earpiece.Recently I changed to the Bold 9900 and was unable to pair the handheld with the same earpiece. I activated my Bluetooth in the 9900 in attempt to pair up the devices. But the 9900 was not able to detect the earpiece despite numerous attempts. I have checked and double checked to ensure both devices are switched on and the bluetooth is activated.Is the bluetooth in my 9900 malfunctioning?
