Motorola Droid 2 :: Bluetooth Paired But Could Not Connect To Handsfree Link
Jan 1, 2012
I have had my Droid for over 2 years and it has worked very well with my Acura HandsFree Link. Suddenly, it told me it was paired and could not connect. My husband's I-Phone (AT&T was worked with this car as long as my Droid has. But the HandsFree has no trouble connecting to his IPhone. My Droid also cannot find my husband's Plantronics hands-free earphone. The OS appears to be the latest version as I checked and no updates are available.
My Razr is able to send each file to my other phone (Samsung S2) with bluetooth but it isn't able to receive any files: infact, the device results "paired but no connected" and refuses each kind of file. I turned off both devices and I turned on again, I paired again both phones but the problem persists: Razr sends files but doesn't receive them.No problem with my bluetooth headset.
I tried to send an image to my laptop. I was able to pair my laptop and my Moto Milestone XT720.On the first pic that I've sent through Bluetooth it went on smoothly. But then when I tried to send again, it didn't went through. The error says "Connection failure". When I checked the bluetooth settings the the laptop is paired but not connected.I tried to unpair and then paired again but still it won't connect.I turned the bluetooth on and off and still not connected.I even restarted both my laptop and my phone and still not connecting.
handsfree bluetooth completely not working after the Gingerbread update? I have an 08 Titan with the built in bluetooth and everything worked perfectly on Froyo. Since the OTA update, I can pair and connect but can't actually hand the call off to bluetooth. I try selecting bluetooth on the in call screen and it seems like it tries but I get no audio at all and it just kicks back to normal phone call mode. Speaker works.
I am trying to connect to my Landrover handsfree I have use this before with other hansets without problem Just sometimes it connects automatically, but 90% of the time it fails, even when I try to connect manually I can not get a connection?
I just updated and configured my brand new Bold 9900 OS 7.0 Bundle 2406 for my Bluetooth devices and two of them that previously worked have issues. They pair perfectly but both devices are unable to connect a ringing call, disconnect a call in progress or initiate a phone call. If I answer or place a call from the phone, the Bluetooth device engages but the voice is only one direction. I have tried turning Encryption on & off under the device properties and no difference. I have verified the one Motorola device is listed as Compatible with my bold so what's up here?
When I go into "Bluetooth Settings" I cannot set the device to "discover-able".All of them say "paired but not connected" but none will connected to the device with which it is paired. And one more thing: when I scan for devices, it scans and scans but will not detect/find any device.
I am trying to send my contacts from my old phone to my new Atrix 4G via Bluetooth. But Atrix keeps showing my old phone as paired but not connected. I even tried to connect it with my husband's iphone, but it still shows the same status.
I am trying to pair my SII to a motorola T325 speakerphone. It pairs fine but when it goes to download my phonebook it does not work. "Phonebook access request" shows up at the top of the phone screen but then nothing happens. I then attempted to put the speakerphone into manual mode and send the vCards over from the SII but when I attempt that it says ContactName.vcf not sent. I have reset the speakerphone to factory already. I have also tried deleting all pairings on the SII and re-pairing the speakerphone, nothing works. Speakerphone downloads phonebook from other phones fine. I need the contacts in this speakerphone so I know who I'm getting calls from at work.
I recently purchased a Q2 blue ant bluetoooth to be used with my XPRT. When I attempt to call a contact using the bluetooth device, I get an audio message that states "activating your phone in built voice command on the connected phone." "This feature is not supported on your connected phone" then my phone will display "complete action using voice commands" So in essence I have to tap the voice dialer app to make a call. So, is there another bluetooth device that is truly handsfree voice dialing that can be used with this phone?
I'm trying to connect my defy to my car's inbuilt hands free bluetooth but it doesn't seem to. I turn bluetooth on and make it discoverable and then scan for device but nothing happens.
I received a new bluetooth for Christmas to go with my Defy with Motoblur (a canadian phone) and the Voice Dialler sucks plus the bluetooth instructions are just as bad.It say to refer to your phone's usual manual. So, I would like to know how I can make a call from my bluetooth handsfree using the phone.Based on an older phone I could add a voice tag to each contact and then use that on the bluetooth. This phone doesn't seem to have that option.(It all seems to work fine if I am dialling directly from the phone once the ringing starts. But this is all pointeless as far as I am concerned. How can you be handsfree when your hands are required?)
The phone is running on the Android version 1.5 since Motorola didn't come out with an update on my phone and getting a new one isn't an option.Maybe there is an app in the market place that might work. (I can't even use Google Play because the phone version was not updated)
I have both a CommandOne bluetooth, and a Jabra Stone....both of which pair with my Droid X, but don't communicate....they both did at one time (the CommandOne stopped communicating during a conversation)....the Jabra who knows when it quit. Now I have two BT's neither of which I can use. I keep thinking I must be doing something wrong, but damned if I can figure it out. This should be pretty straight forward. I've turned off BT, and the restarted the phone, done multiple Discoveries, multiple retrys at connecting.
I have a Droid 3 and the bluetooth headset I have does not autoconnect (paired but not connected). I have to do it manually. My Droid 1 would autoconnect just fine. I don't see any option to auto connect. I saw some mention somewhere that there might be a code issue and someone sent something to google. I did not know if there was a fix for this. This was going on before and after the update.
I've been trying to pair my MAXX to my Parrot CK3000 car kit since the ICS update with no success. Every time the phone is near the car kit, the car kit asks "Please pair device" whether the phone is paired or not. If paired, it won't connect (tapping on the device icon on the phone (under Bluetooth) produces nothing). If I forget the device and repair, I get a "pairing successful" from the car kit, but no connections, even when I make a call from the phone.
Is there a way I can force connect or get the darn connection to occur? SmartActions is disabled, in case that makes a difference. Yes, it paired and worked properly under Gingerbread.
My bluetooth works fine on other devices, but, I am having issues connecting to my car's built in system. Has anyone run into similar issues? The indicator on the car comes and goes (it has paired) but, the call button on the car won't work. The car and phone seem to be fighting each other because the strength signal on the car goes up and down and then intermittantly off.
Recently when I turn on bluetooth and the bluetooth device, media doesn't connect until I go into Bluetooth settings. I can sit there and wait 30 seconds after it's connected, go into Bluetooth settings, and watch it say "no media" then connect within a second. It's like the secretary opens up her spreadsheet but then doesn't start working until I enter the room. It does connect to phone, but I usually use it for media, and regardless, if I've set the device to use phone and media, it should connect them automatically at the same time always.
I'm using the MML 1.5 and the latest drivers from the Motorola site for the Atrix.Running XP SP3,I was able to sync with my Atrix a few time, but MML doesn't work consistantly at all. Any advise in order for this to work properly. I've tried removing and reinstalling with no avail.I've also put my phone in each of the USB modes without luck..
I have C7 with Anna SW in it (022.014). What I noticed was that when other devices are trying to pair with the C7 it automatically fails. BT is visible to all and the are now block connections. The other devices can find my C7 but somehow C7 rejects the the other devices immediately and won't even prompt the safety word (or security code?).
But when I initialize the pairing from the C7 everything goes fine. The security number is prompt and pairing is finalized.
I have not tested this whit other phone (5800) and PC BT software.
It is a problem because Nokia Suite (3.2.100) needs to do the BT pairing. And it won't accept even if the C7 and PC has already paired.
I have them both st up individually....It was done automatically on my ipad2, and I cant figure out how to just have one icon on my droid3 that accepts ALL my e mails.
I guess I am talking about gingerbread, though I don't know, but I had a major software update for my Droid 2 Global last week and am still figuring out the differences. Although initially I thought it was good, here are some annoying ones: While entering info in different apps (texting, email, color notes) after typing only a bit, it stops accepting anymore keystrokes and says has separated from the app.No longer able to link or unlink contacts.Unfortunately, I am still discovering contacts that are linked. In case it matters, Verizon is my carrier.I wasted much time trying to send an email to Verizon support and to post on Verizon forum.
I recently received ICS on my Droid 4. The new dialer doesn't have any method of getting to your contacts. Why? How can such a basic feature be ommited? This is a PHONE right?
I know there are other dialers available, but the default ICS dialer has a people link, is it possible to dump the motorola skinned dialer and revert to the google supplied ICS dialer?
I just got a new blackberry bold an dwould like to know I can transfer all my contacts from the old blackberry to the new one? I cant seem to get the bluetooth paired?
I have a Blackberry Curve 8900, Windows XP SP2, Desktop Manager 4.7 and a 3com PCMIA Bluetooth Card. Using the card I have successfully paired my computer with my Blackberry. All the services on the blackberry are enabled and the Bluetooth software shows that the serial port service is available using COM4. When I open Desktop Manager and open Connection Options, the 'use bluetooth' option is grayed out, so I cannot connect my Blackberry. Does anyone know what to do?
Whenever I try to get the files from my other phone I just cant use bluetooth. It just say paired but not connected and when I try to connect it will not work..
As I have read about ICS and the G Nexus on many forums it came to my attention that the notification tones and the ringtones are permanently linked together. I am extremely dissapointed to hear this. I am enjoying my Razr, but wait excitedly for ICS to come to my Razr. Now I am concerned. I am hoping that this can be passed on to Motorola developers and see if something can be done. I have already posted something in the Goggle mobile forums as well, I am not sure if it will be seen or not.Prior to ICS we have been able to link and unlink our notification sounds and ringtone as we see fit. I like to have mine linked in the day to run off one volume control and then unlink at night to silence all notifications, but keep my ringtone available in case of emergencies. Having text messages, email, and various other notifications wake me up at night is unacceptable. I am not sure why this feature had to change. I am hoping it was a gross oversight and can be easily corrected. I am posting this here in hopes that if Google doesn't change it that Motorola can in the version it releases to it's devices.
From reading forums I know I am not alone in this opinion. Many people do the same as me including the 5 droids that live in my home. :) Please moderators when you read this pass my concern on to the appropiate place. I am not a developer so I have no idea what goes into writing the software, but I just can't see what is so drastic in ICS that this feature had to be taken out.
Does any know of a way to 'relink' the market shortcut at the top of the app drawer? Since Google updated the Market to the 'Play Store' that link at the top no longer works.
