I was sitting at work the other evening and heard a phone ringing. It was very faint. I looked all around and it turned out to me my Razr. It was ringing from the earpiece speaker for no reason. No text, email, call, Nothing... The only way to get it to stop was to hold down the power and volume keys and do a reboot.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI got my Razr Maxx replaced under Asurion warranty, got sent a "Certified Like New" from Verizon, and I can't hear people through the earpiece. It's way quieter than my other phone, even at the loudest volume, and then it crackles at that volume. Can I fix this myself or do I need to take it to Verizon and demand that they give me a good phone without having to pay their crap replacement fee?

The phone sees the device, asks for the 0000 but gives a pairing error as the wrong code.Plantronics tells me they only hardcode 0000 (zeros) into the headset and the phone says it is the wrong code.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have found that the earpiece volume after the JB update, when you pick up a call is very loud and can't be lowered unless you rock the volume buttons during the call. Even if you leave the volume low during the call, on any subsequent calls the volume reverts back to being very lound and you have to do it all over again. I didn't have this issue on ICS. I did notice it on the leaked OTA before the official OTA also. When I reverted back to ICS after the leak and before the official OTA, the issue fixed itself.

Since Verizon had their 4g issues the other day I have noticed that i keep losing my data connection. I can still make phone calls but can't get on line. I will watch as my data connection goes from 4g to 3g to nothing as i am standing in the same spotI am just wondering if anyone else is having the same issue? I have used about 10 gigs this month but i don't think i am getting throttled ( if Verizon even does that).
View 13 Replies View RelatedI currently keep the power button set to end calls. During a speaker phone call the screen goes off (as expected). The only way to get it to turn back on is to hit the power button, which ends the call. If I change the settings to have the power button to not end calls the screen will come back on and I could switch out of speaker phone. Is there a way to get the screen back on while leaving the power button to end calls?

On my DX it was lower and never was completely covered. Not a complaint, just surprised as I missed a few calls due to the phone sitting on my car seat and sofa.

I have this problem on my new RAZR MAXX as well as my Bionic.After using a Bluetooth stereo headset or Bluetooth in the car, once the connection drops, the phone's speaker stops working for awhile.For instance, you might get a call and the phone doesn't ring, or you might play some music and the speaker is silent.This usually clears up after stopping and starting the music again, or if you get a second phone call it will ring.

I've tried rebooting, reinstalling the OS, etc... so I took to the internet: [URL]. Pressing on the kevlar cover works for a brief time; but when I am missing calls or notifications, its a little late to be pressing on the back cover to make the speaker connection. I dropped my phone when I first got it (March '12) so the warranty center is going to claim physical damage and charge me full retail for the phone. I can't go for much longer with a phone that doesn't ring.

I've noticed that in a couple of places in the house and the far corners of our farm where the phone signal is sometimes spotty, I can always, ALWAYS get a good, solid, strong voice when I put it on speaker. If I turn speaker off and hold it up near my ear - even an inch or two away, I lose the connection instantly. Just a data point.

It isn't a call or message, and leaves no clue as to why it ran.At night I have to set it to SILENT profile, so it won't wake me up through out the night. View 1 Replies View RelatedMy wife has a Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray, bought it roughly a month ago. After we updated her phone to ICS through PCC it occationally starts ringing for no reason. It has happened two times in the ~2 weeks she had ICS.The screen does not show anything special during the ringing sound, when the screen is unlocked we can just see the homescreen, no notifaction, nothing.The ringing is the "Sony Ericsson" ringtone and for what it is worth my wife is not using that ringtone for anything, not for incoming calls, notifications or alarms.The only way to stop the ringing seems to be to drag down the "top bar" which shows the clock, battery, signal strength, notifications and so on.
The presented solution seems to be chosen because they believed that it was only one isolated user having the problem. I however do believe that it is a software bug in the Xperia Ray ICS version.
I have a Droid 3 and the bluetooth headset I have does not autoconnect (paired but not connected). I have to do it manually. My Droid 1 would autoconnect just fine. I don't see any option to auto connect. I saw some mention somewhere that there might be a code issue and someone sent something to google. I did not know if there was a fix for this. This was going on before and after the update.

On a phone call, the earpiece will not work. However, speakerphone will work and earphones will work.It refuses to play media audio, either through the earpiece or the speakerphone. However, it will play through the earphones.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI want to like this phone so much but it keeps giving me problems. First, I am having the random reboot problem that is well documented on this and many other forums, so I won't go into that. One other thing that has been happening more frequently however is a problem with call volume. The phone will spontaneously stop using the earpiece for call audio and send the audio to the speakerphone on the back with the lowest volume setting. Adjusting the volume while in the call does not change anything, nor does turning on/off the speakerphone.This occurs during both in-coming and out-going calls. All other phone audio plays at normal volume levels, its just the audio during calls. It is extremely frustrating as the only way to fix it is to reboot the phone, so I have to hang up with whoever I am talking to and call back. Does anyone know any way to solve this problem? I'm hoping the pending Gingerbread update fixes these issues, but I am ready to return the phone and get something else if these aren't fixed.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded from an S3 to an S5 a few days ago and I'm loving it so far. One thing that's bugging me though is that whenever I'm using my phone as an actual phone (Who actually makes phone calls anymore, right?!) there is an annoying buzzing/rattling/almost kind of like distortion) when the person is talking to me. It usually goes away if I turn the volume almost all the way down, but this is obviously not a practical option since I'm not always making phone calls in a dead silent room.
The speaker phone works fine. This only happens when I'm using the earpiece. Is this normal? Is it related to the camera autofocus sensor rattle? Are the sound vibrations from a person's voice enough to set off the rattle? It's really annoying as I tend to make phone calls a lot and I don't like using speaker phone or a headset. This was never an issue on my S3.
My Droid 2 can be on in my pocket with the battery saver enabled (screen off, but phone still on) and at any given time that I check it, I press the power button and find that it's off. I then have to remove the battery and put it back in and then turn the phone back on.

I think it is because I erased all the standard ringtones and the default attached ringtone for each contact was the default ringtone at the time I deleted them. So i have now added new ring tones and set a default ringtone in my settings. Whenever I receive a call, it does not ring.

And every time I try to send a message, it keeps saying "Unfortunately, messaging has stopped," and takes me back to the messaging screen where I can see all the messages I have. The text I tried to send then says its still sending and I have to try two or three times before it will work. I deleted nearly all of my apps, turned my phone off and on again, and deleted nearly all of my messages. It just now started doing this and is beyond frustrating. I do not know what to do. I couldn't find any other people with this same problem. What do I do?

I had to take the battery out and back in again for the phone to turn on, battery was at 65%. It happened another time since then and the only fix was to take the battery out.It's not that the screen goes black like other posts. The phone shuts down.Did I get a bad phone?
