My wife has a Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray, bought it roughly a month ago. After we updated her phone to ICS through PCC it occationally starts ringing for no reason. It has happened two times in the ~2 weeks she had ICS.The screen does not show anything special during the ringing sound, when the screen is unlocked we can just see the homescreen, no notifaction, nothing. The ringing is the "Sony Ericsson" ringtone and for what it is worth my wife is not using that ringtone for anything, not for incoming calls, notifications or alarms. The only way to stop the ringing seems to be to drag down the "top bar" which shows the clock, battery, signal strength, notifications and so on.
The presented solution seems to be chosen because they believed that it was only one isolated user having the problem. I however do believe that it is a software bug in the Xperia Ray ICS version.
Just bought my X10 2 days ago, now for some reason, my phone every time that i connect to PC , it starts an Mp3 sound....I've tryed to Disable it but i dont know where, and why this starts.By the way, what kind of Movie files can i see on X10, i passed an AVI and nothing.
I updated my N8 software to the latest available upgrade last week (30Jun12). Ever since, the phone has been ringing once, at all different times, for no reason. It isn't a call or message, and leaves no clue as to why it ran.At night I have to set it to SILENT profile, so it won't wake me up through out the night. Then forget to put it back to GENERAL profile, the next morning and miss all my calls / messages.
I was sitting at work the other evening and heard a phone ringing. It was very faint. I looked all around and it turned out to me my Razr. It was ringing from the earpiece speaker for no reason. No text, email, call, Nothing... The only way to get it to stop was to hold down the power and volume keys and do a reboot.
I purchased a nokia n97 mini phone a couple of days ago, and im annoyed with the built in dude voice "Martin" that keeps talking whenever i get a call and my ringing tone starts off.. it just lowers it and pronounces the name of the caller with this robot way of talking.
I cant seem to disable it cuz i cannot neither delete it, lower its volume to 0 nor find a "turn off" option in the "Settings -> Phone -> Speech
My phone (Z5 compact) occasionally rebooted itself without reason.I decided reinstall software based on information what i found in the internet. Everything went good till Google account verification.I used only one Google account in my phone, that is also last synchronized account. The problem is phone says: "It's not one of that phone users account".
Since an update a few days ago my phone is now randomly ringing (well playing the ring tone but there is no incoming call)
I've gone through every app I can think of looking for notifications/alarms, but nothing is appearing on the notification screen (the thing that swipes down from the top, I'm new to android)
Its been 6 months since I purchased my Sony z2 I was very satisfied until my phone started scrolling automatically! It just doesn't stop and I have to wait and pause my wwork till it stops scrolling.
my phone sometimes restarts by it self and then starts to jam, also when i am using my phone it sometimes acts really slow. I didnt expect any major problems from a good phone like this, it never happens to an iphone?
After the update my Z2 keeps making notification sounds for no reason. It happens in airplane mode too, and its really getting on my nerves. I check the phone expecting to see a text message or an email or something else, but nothing is there. Ting, ting, ting until I turn the sound off and miss the calls and notifications that I actually want.
Phone is set to ring volume set to high.Rings for the first few calls then stops ringing and just flashes led light until I restart phone. Then above scenarios occurred again. This has happened with the 3 different firmware I have flashed.
Nordic 690 UK 726 3UK 726 PC companion doesn't work. Never happened on KitKat and a factory reset doesn't work either.
I have the X6. The phone rings and I unlock the keyguard using the slider on the side of the phone and the phone stops ringing. Then in order to answer the phone I press the green button on the bottom left of the phone or I press answer call on the screen and then I can speak which I suppose sounds fair enough. But I just think that something is wrong because surely the phone should continue to make the 'ringing' noise until I actually answer the call rather than going mute just because I have unlocked the keyguard.. Am I doing something wrong or is this just how the phone works?
I have a blackberry torch 9800. From yesterday morning phone's ringer is not working .. I tried to reset factory settings, clear log and switched of phone for 5 minuets by taking of battery out of the phone but nothing happened. The same problem hit the phone around 2 months before, that time I reset phone and its starts working. But this time its like big bang, I can not hear the ringtone of phone , I can't hear music on it ...
I have Lumia 1020 and my phone has been lagging for last few days. When I'm scrolling list its lagging, in Windows Central app news are lagging when I scroll, messanger is also lagging, it is very annoying.
I have a issue with my LG G4. When i use chrome or different apps on my G4, then suddenly the phone quits the app and starts another. It is tapping by its own on random links when i am on chrome etc. without me touching the screen. To provoke og trigger the effect, i can start the Antutu touch screen test. When i touch the screen with sometimes only 3 fingers, then the it goes completely mad. It begins tapping all over the screen, and it then quits the Antutu app and starts alot of other apps and it just keeps on doing the random tapping until i stop touching the screen. After this i go to the chrome app and start reading an artical, then suddenly it taps on links og quits chrome.
Today, for some reason, when I place my phone in a horizontal position, the 3D camera app starts itself up. when the phone is vertical, there's no problem. but when I lay it down . . . the camera loads. and when I go into the cached applications to kill it, there are always 4 instances of it running.
when i first got my phone (xperia neo l) my 3rd sony mobile i said yay and after a month i am ****** as **** iused to recommend sony mobile to every one now i tell all buy a chinese local phone instead
Every so often, the option to automatically syncronise accounts turns itself off.
Very annoying, as I rely on my phone for work e-mails that I must respond to quickly, but when this option turns itself off, obviously I do not get any alerts. This happened under 2.3.4, and is stilll happening after a reset and upgrade to 4.0.4
It's a problem that started a few hours ago, my phone will randomly light up and play my ringtone, but it's not an actual incoming call. For a while it also booted the Car Mode at the same time, but I seem to have disabled that for now. When it's in vibrating mode the screen only lights up, but no vibrating. I suppose it should be noted that I did not install any new apps or meddle with any settings.
Shortly after updating my HTC One M9 to Lollipop 5.1 (running on Sense 7.0), my phone stopped ringing when receiving calls. Why that may be? All other app notifications are working, except for incoming calls.
the phone maybe 6/7 weeks ago, plugged into laptop, checked up to date, restored some data from S3 backup, installed a few standard apps, all good.. After two weeks or so phone starts randomly rebooting - not with any specific app, could even be sat on the table and you'd suddenly hear the start up noise. Spoke to EE Support, tried some 'resetting the network' thing from their end, no change. Called again and was passed to Samsung Support - talked me through a hard reset. No change. Posted back to Samsung. Came back a few days later saying no fault found but they wiped it, updated it and it's good to go. Booted and phone was crashing every time I opened Internet and a few other apps. Didn't get as far as installing apps or backup. Posted back again. Phone came back again, no fault found but same problems straight out of the box. Called and explained again, posted again, this time they've told me that the phone has been damaged and is beyond repair and included a screenshot of a screen saying 'Know Warranty VOID 0x1'.
After having a rant about their packaging and that it must have been knocked in their support centre (yes, that is my level of knowledge of phone rooting) I've just Googled and found it actually means that the phone has been rooted. The phone definitely hasn't been rooted by me on purpose and the only update I've run is through Kies. The only apps installed via Play Store. Is it possible that something that Samsung Support has done or asked me to do has changed this flag?
I am a new Blackberry user. I have only had my Tour for about a month. The Tour has been amazing and ran really well up till about 2 days ago. At that time it started to take at least 30 seconds to acknowledge I did anything. I would move the scroll ball and it would take 30 seconds to move. I would click on my text icon and it would take a minute to load my texts i would click on a new text and it would take 30 seconds to load it. I had to pull my battery out and put it back (6 - 8 min restart of the phone..) at minimum of 5 times throughout the day for it to even run. That is when I started noticing that it was also draining my battery like no other. I fully charged my batter yesterday afternoon/evening and unplugged it, when to bed (didn't use it except for maybe 10 outgoing and incoming texts) slept from 12am to 630am and my phone is DEAD! I didn't have ANY apps running, the phone was just on and not in use - whatsoever. Does anyone know why or know what to do? We all know how "helpful" tech support can be, so I'm trying to avoid calling them by coming here.
I have the EE variant of the G920F galaxy s6 in the UK. At least once a day the phone will reboot for no apparent reason what so ever. This has been since the 5.1.1 update, I have factory reset and cleared cache and it still happens. Thinking of flashing the international software to see if it happens with that.
My xperia z3 shuts down after using it for 2 or 3 minutes, then it starts to restart, without any pressing on the power button. it becomes very warm after 10 minutes. i can just break through the circle Holding the power button and the 'louder' button for a few seconds, until it vibrates 3 times. in the morning it worked normally, middays the problem was there.. what can i do?
I've gotten a SonyEricsson Xperia cellphone recently, it is working very well, only issue is it's display become on and off repeatedly, when it's sitting some where in sleep mode (blank light), starts to make the display on and off, whithout any reason. I changed the time out setting few time, but still is the same. Sometimes I think about effects of other cellphones around mine, but I'm nut sure, even if they are effecting I can not change the situation.
