I have a blackberry torch 9800. From yesterday morning phone's ringer is not working .. I tried to reset factory settings, clear log and switched of phone for 5 minuets by taking of battery out of the phone but nothing happened. The same problem hit the phone around 2 months before, that time I reset phone and its starts working. But this time its like big bang, I can not hear the ringtone of phone , I can't hear music on it ...
View 2 RepliesSuddenly my phone has stopped ringing, it doesnt ring for anything at all. i checked everything in the profile and everything is in place. the profile is normal, volume is full, holster setting is set to always...but even the "try it" option doesnt make it ring........but if i play the ringtones individually or any media file, it plays....that means my speakers are all fine....and at the same time my DM stops working as soon as i connect my phone.

I have tried numerous battery pulls, changing the ringtone, and changing the profile with no success. My phone is almost 2 yrs old so I believe the warranty has expired. It will still vibrate but not ring. Even when I try to switch ringtones, the "try it" feature is silent and I get no preview when I view my ringtone list. How do I get my phone to start ringing again?

I have the X6. The phone rings and I unlock the keyguard using the slider on the side of the phone and the phone stops ringing. Then in order to answer the phone I press the green button on the bottom left of the phone or I press answer call on the screen and then I can speak which I suppose sounds fair enough. But I just think that something is wrong because surely the phone should continue to make the 'ringing' noise until I actually answer the call rather than going mute just because I have unlocked the keyguard.. Am I doing something wrong or is this just how the phone works?

I can hear the phone ringing, but no matter what I do it will not answer and it will not stop ringing!! The only way to stop it is to pull the battery out - my husband has the same phone and this has happened to him also.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIt's a problem that started a few hours ago, my phone will randomly light up and play my ringtone, but it's not an actual incoming call. For a while it also booted the Car Mode at the same time, but I seem to have disabled that for now. When it's in vibrating mode the screen only lights up, but no vibrating. I suppose it should be noted that I did not install any new apps or meddle with any settings.

My wife has a Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray, bought it roughly a month ago. After we updated her phone to ICS through PCC it occationally starts ringing for no reason. It has happened two times in the ~2 weeks she had ICS.The screen does not show anything special during the ringing sound, when the screen is unlocked we can just see the homescreen, no notifaction, nothing.The ringing is the "Sony Ericsson" ringtone and for what it is worth my wife is not using that ringtone for anything, not for incoming calls, notifications or alarms.The only way to stop the ringing seems to be to drag down the "top bar" which shows the clock, battery, signal strength, notifications and so on.
The presented solution seems to be chosen because they believed that it was only one isolated user having the problem. I however do believe that it is a software bug in the Xperia Ray ICS version.
since yesterday I'm owner of N85-1 phone, so I was very happy when I saw the device (it is a present), but today I've become very sad.
So, my main PROMLEM is very strange:
Last evening I used the phone for probably 30 min. conversation, than I set the alarm clock in order to wake up this morning and go to work. But I overslept and a thought that I did not hear the phone alarm.
My surprise was huge when I tried to switch on the phone, I entered the PIN code of the card and there was the alarm active whit the usual two options - snooze or switch it of. No matter what I choose the phone is blocking and I can't use it at all. The only way to do something is to remove the battery, so I've done it this morning for at least 20 times and the result is the same every time - the phone is blocked and I can't do anything to use the phone.
In the same time when I dial my number from other phone I'm hearing the "free" signal, but the N85 is not ringing at all.
Using a Nextel Curve - when a call comes in the phone vibrates first, then begins ringing. I miss calls all the time at home because I don't hear it vibrate, and it only rings for about 5 seconds. I've downloaded ringers that are 10 seconds, 20 seconds, 30 seconds in length and it doesn't make a difference. Vibrate, vibrate, ring for 5 sec, missed call... Can anyone point me in the right direction?

- I go into the Phone App
- Bring up my address book, find persons name and select it
- If I have two numbers for that person it brings up a screen showing both numbers and I can select one if I want to ring it.
- But if I only have one number for a person, as soon as I select their name from the address book it starts ringing them
- Which is annoying if I'm just trying to find out what their number is so I can write it down...or dial it from a different phone.
Had an S2 for a couple of weeks but cannot figure out how to stop the phone ringing when a text message is received. Previous phones I have had just require either a swipe or any button to be depressed but the S2 just goes on and on until you actually read the message.

When I make phone calls, I am unable to hear anything, even a ringing. Sometimes I can finally hear people after about 20 seconds, sometimes I can't hear anything at all. This also happens sometimes when other people call me. Is there any way for me to fix this problem, or is it finally time for me to consider buying a new phone?

I have a Blackberry Curve (8530) from Verizon and within the last 24 hours my phone has gone from being fully functional to not functioning at all. First, my speakerphone stopped working, then I lost all sounds (ringing, alerts, etc) yet the vibrate setting still works, and now my trackpad has frozen to where I can't navigate the phone at all. I can still make calls by typing in the number or using my programmed numbers on the keys and I can still receive calls as well, but if I try and navigate using the trackpad, I can't move off of the sounds icon.About 4 days ago, I downloaded the new OS software when my phone prompted me to and when these problems started happening, I did a "soft" reset (alt+right shift+del) and a "hard" reset (removed the battery) which not solve any of the problems. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas about how I can fix these problems outside of going to the Verizon store and waiting hours to get help?

Usually a reboot fixes it but not always. View 5 Replies View RelatedI will be listening to music through headphone, and a call comes and it isnt through headphone, I call with headphones in and call goes through phone speaker as if I do not have hadphones in at all.
If I press the speakerphone button, I will then hear through my headphone, but still cant talk through headphone mic.
I thought the call screen is supposed to give you options (headset, or headphones) but I think only saw it once, only thing the button does now is just switch the speakerphone and off the speakerphone.
This afternoon my speaker on my phone stopped working. I can not hear it ringing when someone call, but if I see someone calling and I answer the call they can hear me and I can hear them fine. I also can't not put the caller on speaker at all , I also can't hear my music or gaming apps. When I turn my phone on or off it does not make a sound as well. I have turned the phone off and turned it off by pressing the top button and home button at the same time and that did not work. I checked the volume and the mute button and the volume is up all the way.

I recently purchased a Blackberry Sync Pod and for some reason the phone will not charge while on the dock. The phone wil enter bedside mode and i get a message stating that the phone will not charge. I am able to charge the phone without the dock using the exact same cable. The retailer isnt willing to assist in this matter as they say it is something I need to take up with the manufacture.whats wrong or how to make the phone charge?

I love this phone but I'm on about day 20 of the 30 day return deal and the stupid thing just will not ring rite. most of the time if i use my wifes phone it takes 4 to 5 rings to actually start ringing then goes to voicemail and it will not even say I missed a call. I installed diamond tweaks, installed fine but will not open. I have taken it to two different uscc techs, they have no clue(but I do belive they have had more than just me complain there was a guy in there screaming at um cause he was past his 30 day and they would not help him , he just realized he's been missing all sorts of important calls. lol). I wrote htc no responce. I really don't want to have to bring it back specially cause I sined a internet plan contract and the only other phone they have is the blackberry tour that I cant use as a wifi spot. Like I say I don't mind it being super slow sluggish not doing what I click hell even not telling me I missed a call till 6 hours later but I DO need it to ring when it's supposed to.
