have a bb bold 9700 with os 6 and phone does not ring for just one number and not when i delete the contact it keeps showing up. it is a friend but just annoying that wont ring. i have tried a battery pull a few times and checked the profile settings.

I've just bought a bb 9900 bold from Egypt (made in Hungary unlocked).but the problem is,in the second day after buying.for one time when I make any call I can't hear anything and then it got frozen.but after a few hours it sorted itself out and worked properly(and I did not remove the battery).I just want to know what happened and should I have to go to the shop and exchange it if that serious?

What profile settings should i use just to get the darn thing to ring for 20 secs - both in and out of its holster? (I have tried the code to extend the time to 30 secs but it does not seem to work with Orange UK).
I just want the phone to ring like a phone without LEDS, vibration etc. At the moment, I need the hearing of a 5 year old and the strength of a 20 year old to get to my phone before it trips over to answerphone.I am on OS593 and I have tried battery pulls etc. I am also using a ringtune rather than Classic Ring.

I need to revalidate my e mail addresses but cannot get passed the blackberry id page as it either tells me "unable to log onto your blackberry id" or it locks me out saying the password is wrong, which it is not, I went and changed it as well, I revalidated on the website and was told "success" ..but still nothing. I cand send but cannot receive .. I am about to throw the thing out of the window!

View 3 Replies View Relatedi'm using a blackberry torch and my provider is China Mobile. My wife uses a blackberry bold 9700 and she is in Indonesia and her provider is Indosat. Since the past few days i've not been able to send her any messages on bbm so i deleted her and when i tried to re-add her it only shows pending authorization. When i send her any PIN message it doesn't go thru and says service blocked however she can send me PIN messages. I've asked my friend in China to add her but they are also facing the same problem i do.
I don't know what to do as it is very annoying this problem has happened. We have never faced such problems before hence please advise me what to do. Just for your info her PIN is 2190FC0C.By the way, she is able to receive bbm from everywhere except from China and i'm able to send my other friends bbm in Indonesia only to her i can't send.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI own a BB bold 9700 and last night I exchanged phones with a friend, the sim and memory card was removed and then reinserted back in, when i turn on the phone, I realised that all my contacts were gone. I don't know what happened? Those that has to do with a different sim card inserted into the phone? Is it some kinda BB security lockdown software? I'm using the Celcom-Vodafone (Malaysia) package. View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen receiving a new call from a new number (with caller ID, this number is not in my contact list), I can see both the name and number displayed, if i go to Add to Contacts, only the number gets copied over, and i have to manually type in this name (came displayed thru caller ID), is there any ways to get this default name copied over every time when I add a person so I don't have to type it in? A side question, numbers broken down to ### ### #### with spaces that are saved in contacts still will work with calls, but when receiving text messages my phone wont recognize it was already in my contacts(as in, it will show the text is from a number instead of the name I saved in my contact list). because text message numbers come with +1######### format.

I spent hours and hours putting all of my numbers in by hand and all was well. After I did that, I added my Yahoo email account to the phone. Now the phone numbers I hand puched are gone and all of the contacts are from the email account. My call log lists the names of the people who have called me, so I know the info is somewhere on the phone but I can't find it. I even deleted the email account, but the Yahoo cantacts are still there and the others are still not.

Wouldn't be so bad but it has me in there too and I am twice her size so I see me. Yes I know what's the big deal, you know who's calling, but it is aggravating that this is happening every time she calls me. I change it back to the saved picture and save her picture, then she calls and up pops her facebook profile picture.Do any of you know what I can do to fix this without removing the faceboof app?
