Jan 16, 2010Please someone figure out how to make this darn thing ring when it should. I love this phone but I'm on about day 20 of the 30 day return deal and the stupid thing just will not ring rite. most of the time if i use my wifes phone it takes 4 to 5 rings to actually start ringing then goes to voicemail and it will not even say I missed a call. I installed diamond tweaks, installed fine but will not open. I have taken it to two different uscc techs, they have no clue(but I do belive they have had more than just me complain there was a guy in there screaming at um cause he was past his 30 day and they would not help him , he just realized he's been missing all sorts of important calls. lol). I wrote htc no responce. I really don't want to have to bring it back specially cause I sined a internet plan contract and the only other phone they have is the blackberry tour that I cant use as a wifi spot. Like I say I don't mind it being super slow sluggish not doing what I click hell even not telling me I missed a call till 6 hours later but I DO need it to ring when it's supposed to.

May 3, 2012have a bb bold 9700 with os 6 and phone does not ring for just one number and not when i delete the contact it keeps showing up. it is a friend but just annoying that wont ring. i have tried a battery pull a few times and checked the profile settings.

Jan 19, 2015I am a long time Android user, but just recently got the LG G3 (32GB version) with Bell Canada. I had a Samsung SIII for the past few years and upgrade time came. So I did my research, found the LG G3, and so far I've been very happy.
There is one issue, though, that I have found with the alarm clock. I first noticed it Saturday (I got the phone Friday), set up the alarm clock app, and made sure it worked (by setting it 2-3 min in the future and waiting). Saturday morning, I found myself naturally waking up, I didn't think much of it as that is normal for a Saturday. Then I realized that it was around 9 AM (the alarm was set for 8 AM), I asked my wife if she heard it --- she said, "no". So then I set it for a few minutes in the future again, "must have slept through it", I thought (even though I could wake up to the SOUND of the display coming on).
Sunday morning I got woke up by the kids at 6 AM, but noticed that the alarm DID go off at 8 AM (the difference being that since 6 AM, I had the device unplugged and had been using it).
Today, I had my alarm set for 5:30 (my normal waking time during the week), I woke up to the sound of my wife's alarm at 5:45, mine definitely did not go off. I rolled over and opened the alarm app --- everything is set up properly. So then I figure that I'll set it for 5:50, do so, and it goes off at 5:50, I snooze it and it goes off at 6:00.
This morning I installed Alarm Clock Plus, but I won't know if it works properly until tomorrow morning. All my Stock alarm settings are correct, I DO have Quiet Mode turned on for the duration of the night (10 PM -- 6 AM), but some of the tests I ran (eg the 5:50 one) were ran during Quiet Mode. In Quiet mode I have "Block alarms" unchecked. Under the stock Alarm Clock's settings I have "Ring in Silent Mode" checked as well.

Jun 4, 2012M Droid 2 will not ring. I think it is because I erased all the standard ringtones and the default attached ringtone for each contact was the default ringtone at the time I deleted them. Dec 9, 2014I have an iphone 6 and just updated to 8.1.2. When I receive calls my phone will vibrate once. When I look at the screen a green bar on top says "Return to Call," but it will not let me switch over to answer the call. Then the call will appear as a missed call. This happens all of the time when my husband calls and only sometimes when other people call. His number is not blocked and all Do Not Disturb settings are turned off.Â

Sep 2, 2014I (iPhone 5S, iOS 7.1.1) set my usual alarm for 5:50am this morning but awoke at 7am on my own. I thought I had just forgotten to turn it on, but when I looked at my screen the usual alarm screen was there, complete with "slide to unlock," just no ringing or vibrating. I checked my settings, and there was nothing changed in Sounds, and DND wasn't turned on (I don't think that would have made a difference anyways). I was an hour late to work today because of it, so I'm a little frustrated. It's really important than I'm able to trust my alarm clock, and if Apple Clock has ceased to be reliable I need to find another solution.Â

For a while it also booted the Car Mode at the same time, but I seem to have disabled that for now. When it's in vibrating mode the screen only lights up, but no vibrating. I suppose it should be noted that I did not install any new apps or meddle with any settings.
