M Droid 2 will not ring. I think it is because I erased all the standard ringtones and the default attached ringtone for each contact was the default ringtone at the time I deleted them. So i have now added new ring tones and set a default ringtone in my settings. Whenever I receive a call, it does not ring.
I have been having this occasional, recurring problem with my Verizon Droid X ever since I first got it last summer -- the phone rings, but I cannot unlock it to answer; it is as if it is frozen. Yet when the phone finally stops ringing, I can unlock the phone and use at as normal. This problem did not go away when the phone's Android OS was upgraded from 2.1 to 2.2, nor to its current version of 2.2.1?
My phone no longer rings when a call or text comes in. I had this issue and a few others so I got a warrenty replacement. It has worked fine for a few days but now the phone will vibrate but won't ring.
If I set my phone to either vibrate or be silent, when I get a text or whats app or some other sort of notification, it rings instead of vibrate. I like the phone to be quiet in certain environments and this is killing me. I have had droid razors before and never had this issue.
Since upgrading to Lollipop, occasionally the Turbo will ring once and then go silent, although the call is still pending. You could easily miss a call this way, especially since that first ring now starts off at a lower volume level. What's going on here?
I was sitting at work the other evening and heard a phone ringing. It was very faint. I looked all around and it turned out to me my Razr. It was ringing from the earpiece speaker for no reason. No text, email, call, Nothing... The only way to get it to stop was to hold down the power and volume keys and do a reboot.
So I upgraded to 2.1 and [knock on wood] everything seems to work fine with one exception - the phone will not audibly ring on incoming call. Volume seems to work fine in all other instances, just not on incoming calls. Vibrate still works.
My Electrify automatically stops ringing. It is set to always vibrate, however it is supposed to ring as well. I will restart my phone and it will ring normally, I put it down on the table for a little bit and it starts vibrating only. I have checked the settings and all of the volume (ringer, media and notfications) are all on the loudest settings. I have tried changing the vibrate settings to all of the different options but if it is set to never vibrate the volume still does not work and I will never know if I have a call or message. The problem occurs with all of the notfication tones. I use the prestored tones for everything except a 3 of my contacts have their own ringtone.
I have been getting error messages on my phone, first with mp3 and now with online videos, that the file type is not supported or cannot be played. Usually a reboot fixes it but not always. Not a consistent problem but once it starts it seems to happen a lot and then mysteriously stop. The second problem is my phone not ringing.Got yelled at for not answering the phone but it never rang. Shows missed calls but not making noise at all, even when I try to preview rings they won't play
Does Motorola intentionally make their new products inferior at release?I've been using a Droid and a Droid 2 for about 18 months.I shoot a lot of pictures outdoors, some macro, lots of nature and concerts.I also shoot indoors under challenging conditions (concert lighting.) They have both prtovided a passable point-and-shoot camera. The Droid 3 camera is dissapointing in that several important features have vanished:
-There is auto white balance, only a manual and difficult-to-use control. -The user can no longer set ISO -The user can no longer set EV -Focus is iffy under a variety of conditions -Photos have a bluish cast under most conditions, with and without flash
So instead of getting pretty good shots with a convenient camera, I'm getting washed-out, bluish garbage.(Issues with the video vs. Droid 2 also, in a separate post.)I want to know if Motorola intends to make the experience of this camera catch up with the spec soon, or if i should return my phone while I can still get something else from Verizon.
Just received the GB 2.3.3 update on my Droid X and all I can say is WOW!does it ever change the look of the phone. Still getting used to the changes but one thing I've noticed is that when you click on the blue Voice Dial button on the phone page, it syas, "Application is not installed on your phone". if this was by design with the 2.3.3 update? Is so, can you please advise as to where to download the app. I had voice dial on the previous version.
I used Google's https: market.android.com to transfer all my apps from my Droid 1 to my Bionic. By and large it was seemless and quick. However, less than half of my Gallery pictures made it over. Because the Gallery is a stock app and not in the marketplace it is not on the the above market transfer desktop application.I also have astro and estrong on my device.
After several months of going thru various LG, Nokia and Htc phones, I couldnt pull the trigger on who I was going to give my next 2 years to. And if any of you have been with Verizon for a while you guys know how we cherished that NE2 (new every 2 yrs and 100 dollars towards it)....lol. With Verizon pushing the Blackberry and tons of dumbphones (2009) I even considered changing carriers. So after months of media hype I decided to wait before the change. In Dec of 2009 I got a OG Droid. Awesome phone which my daughter uses now. In Dec 2010 I got a Droid X and in Dec 2011 I got a Moto Xoom wifi. I chose the Xoom this year instead of a phone because I honestly feel that the DX2 and the Bionic shouldve been 1 phone instead of 2 phones tryning to fill gaps till the Razor came out.....thats another story for another time......To sum it all up: The OG droid will always be one of the phones that changed the market! The first android phone that was released to Verizon's Captive Audience with only blackberrys and dumbphones to choose from.....
Odd, one of our Droid1 phones just started to not ring only from other cell calls - the ringer works perfectly from landline calls. We have checked every setting we can think of - rebooted - pulled battery - nothing reinstates the ringer from cell numbers.
I can here my ring tones and text. When calling another caller I cannot hear the phone ring or the other caller. I rebooted which h didn't help. I also gave it a hard boot and pulled the battery.
My S305 headphones sounded great on the Droid until a few months ago, when they got really quiet. Even at max volume for both the Droid and the headphones, it's not as high as it used to be, and it's REALLY LOUD (relatively) with anything else. What happened? How do I fix it?
I have the Motorola Milestone X, an exact clone of the Droid X, but for the wireless company Alltel. I am wondering if I will be receving the gingerbread update like the Droid X users are?
Please someone figure out how to make this darn thing ring when it should. I love this phone but I'm on about day 20 of the 30 day return deal and the stupid thing just will not ring rite. most of the time if i use my wifes phone it takes 4 to 5 rings to actually start ringing then goes to voicemail and it will not even say I missed a call. I installed diamond tweaks, installed fine but will not open. I have taken it to two different uscc techs, they have no clue(but I do belive they have had more than just me complain there was a guy in there screaming at um cause he was past his 30 day and they would not help him , he just realized he's been missing all sorts of important calls. lol). I wrote htc no responce. I really don't want to have to bring it back specially cause I sined a internet plan contract and the only other phone they have is the blackberry tour that I cant use as a wifi spot. Like I say I don't mind it being super slow sluggish not doing what I click hell even not telling me I missed a call till 6 hours later but I DO need it to ring when it's supposed to.
have a bb bold 9700 with os 6 and phone does not ring for just one number and not when i delete the contact it keeps showing up. it is a friend but just annoying that wont ring. i have tried a battery pull a few times and checked the profile settings.
My blackberry 8520 curve is not ringing. Ive been sent 2 new phones since my phone is under warrenty still. I have done 2 master resets and other things . now they are sending me a new phone again.I cant upgrade to a new phone new to my contract.
I have a blackberry torch 9800. From yesterday morning phone's ringer is not working .. I tried to reset factory settings, clear log and switched of phone for 5 minuets by taking of battery out of the phone but nothing happened. The same problem hit the phone around 2 months before, that time I reset phone and its starts working. But this time its like big bang, I can not hear the ringtone of phone , I can't hear music on it ...
