Apr 14, 2012i seem to be having a problem with the contacts on my phone. I cant edit any contacts, or add new contacts either as the phone does not respond at all.. I using os v5.0.0.1015 (Bundle 1656, Platform 4.2.0.442. I backed up all contacts in my address book by using blackberry desktop software and then did the "Wipe Handheld" from my phone, but still when you try to add a new contact when you dont have any contacts on the phone it does not respond (in some cases the phone freezes) and i have to remove battery and start the phone again. again if I try to add any contacts it wont let me edit or create new contacts. Sometimes I got errors after the phone froze which were: net_rim_bb_addressbook_app(207) not responding net_rim_bb_phone_app not responding

Nov 24, 2011Love the phone - just got a really irritating problem. I've synced my phone with my gmail account - the My Contacts list has my key contact email addresses. Then I have multiple groups within gmail account relating to work emails etc, nearly 500 odd.
On the phone, when I click my 'Contacts' button, initially it showed all my phone number contacts, as well all google email contacts mixed with them. I corrected this by going to 'display options' to select 'display only contacts with phone numbers', so that I didn't have to trawl through random email addresses mixed with my proper phone contacts. Great, sorted.
But, when I go to compose a text message - if it is to one or two specific contacts it is fine...I just type their name and it comes up. If I want to scroll through all my phone contacts to send the same message to multiple contacts, big problem - I press that envelope button in the top right corner next to 'enter recipient', and it takes me to the Contacts list, but here it still shows ALL 600 odd contacts with phone contacts still mixed with google email contacts, which is impossible to scroll through and select multiple people to send a text message to....Does anyone know how to sort this out?!??!

Mar 26, 2010My new E72 devolped an interesting problem:When i open the phonebook and start typing to look up a contact, a lot of contacts do not show up in the resukts. The same happens when i start typing on the home screen, however in messaging the lookup works. Example: want to call "Anna B." I type search for "Anna" in my phonebook, "Anna K." shows up, but "Anna B." and some other contacts containing "Anna" don't.search also does not work for the last name (for completeness).Interestingly, the affected numbers also don't show up on my car kit when the phone can't find them.I can, however just scroll through the contacts ( on the phone, not on the car kit) and, bang!, the missing contacts are actually there. so just search and car kit sync are affected.The problem can sometimes be solved by resterting the phone, sometimes not. In OVI Suite all (~280) Contacts show up and can be found.I have yet to determine wether the affected contacts are always the same, but it seems that way. They are a mixture of old/new with/without picture/email etc. so nothing obvious in common.

Jun 3, 2014I have had my iPhone 5C for a month now and when I first had it I was able to add phone contacts. Now when I try, the cursor flashes ready for the information but the onscreen keyboard won't come up to enable me to type any information. I have checked all the settings I can think of in case I have switched something off by mistake but have been unable to get any further. I only have 109 numbers in my phone so it should be able to take more, or is there a restriction?

Nov 9, 2014Well on a call the other night I tried to access my contact list, it keep putting me back to the call screen, (caller id, speaker phone, mute, etc.) but no contact list icon, so you have to hit home, then people, then name , and open the contact to retrieve the number. tedious to say the least. and it's bad enough, but half way though the process it kicks back to the call screen, now its frustrating. I had to call them back.
I salved the problem by put my contacts in a folder on my start screen. simple enough , but I still had to open the folder, and each contact to retrieve the number. Well I was watching the folder cycle though the names, it came to me, why not add the number with the name , John 123-123-123, (if you want the number above the name add it first), now the live tile will cycle though showing the name and phone number, open up the folder and you get all the names with number in front of you.

Jun 24, 2012I have an iPhone 4S, running iOS 5.1.1 (9B206). About two weeks ago (not really sure when I noticed) a phone number appeared at the bottom of my Favorites list. The number is for a person that I deleted from Contacts some months ago. The number is not in the Contact list anywhere, the contact does not exist. I've tried recreating the contact (and Favorites then shows the name) and then deleting the contact, and its still there in the Favorites list. There is a facetime icon next to the number. If I turn off Facetime, the number disappears.
