I have added my contacts to the contact list. With some when I try to ring by touching the number on the screen it rings normally with others I get a screen asking me to "Complete action using" and then there is a list of options g mail, messaging but not ring phone number. How do I stop this happening so that when I touch a phone number it just rings out normally like I expect it to.

I've been linking all my contacts with facebook and while it's nice to have a pic to see who's ringing me it would be even nicer to be able to search through pics rather than just names to find who I want to call.
I have only had this phone for 3 days so still finding my way round it but have had no luck in finding a way to do this.
When i synced contacts, the facebook contacts are not coming as phone contacts. So i cant use these contacts in many apps since they are not phone contacts. How to copy all contacts to phone contacts?

It has started dialling random numbers during the night, sometimes my contacts, sometimes just four or five digits, and once to my service operator's helpline. It also did it when it was switched off so I had to start removing the battery at night. Just last week, it wouldn't let me send text messages. I tried the recommendations found on this forum but nothing worked although the sim does work in other phones.
I got in contact with Virgin Mobile and they arranged for me to send them the phone for it to be looked at. Unfortunately, the connection between the USB socket and the phone had been damaged somehow (not sure how as I'm very careful with my phone) so the warranty has been invalidated They say they can't do anything although I have no problem connecting the phone to my computer.
I have updated to 2.1 and since I have done this the contacts are all messed up How can i remove all of them in the phone , as then i could import the file from my memory card

View 6 Replies View RelatedLove the phone - just got a really irritating problem. I've synced my phone with my gmail account - the My Contacts list has my key contact email addresses. Then I have multiple groups within gmail account relating to work emails etc, nearly 500 odd.
On the phone, when I click my 'Contacts' button, initially it showed all my phone number contacts, as well all google email contacts mixed with them. I corrected this by going to 'display options' to select 'display only contacts with phone numbers', so that I didn't have to trawl through random email addresses mixed with my proper phone contacts. Great, sorted.
But, when I go to compose a text message - if it is to one or two specific contacts it is fine...I just type their name and it comes up. If I want to scroll through all my phone contacts to send the same message to multiple contacts, big problem - I press that envelope button in the top right corner next to 'enter recipient', and it takes me to the Contacts list, but here it still shows ALL 600 odd contacts with phone contacts still mixed with google email contacts, which is impossible to scroll through and select multiple people to send a text message to....Does anyone know how to sort this out?!??!
When I add specific contacs to a group, I do not see that contact listed under the main contacts list. They are available only under the groups. It looks like a bug with the xperia neo v. Is there a way I can have the contact seen in both the main contacts list and in the groups? I use the xperia neo v which is upgraded with ICS 4.0.4
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've just upgraded to the Z5. My own number on my contacts list is set at 00 0000000000 and it won't let me edit it to change it! I've worked out how to manually sync contacts profile pics from FB onto my contacts list, but it won't let me do it on my own contact details. (Basically, in text messaging, pics of my contacts are there, but I can't link mine to do the same).

I'm having problem dialing from contact list and recent calls. I can only makes calls when dialing the numbers. I can receive calls. Texting works fine from contact list and recent calls, but voice call can only be done by dialing the number .Phone has to reboot everytime it happens.

The list was an instant way of finding out if ICS has been released for your phone and worked well (except when the list was updated with phones that had not had ICS released !) this seems like a backwood step to me, is this a sign that no more promised updates will be released ?

Well on a call the other night I tried to access my contact list, it keep putting me back to the call screen, (caller id, speaker phone, mute, etc.) but no contact list icon, so you have to hit home, then people, then name , and open the contact to retrieve the number. tedious to say the least. and it's bad enough, but half way though the process it kicks back to the call screen, now its frustrating. I had to call them back.
I salved the problem by put my contacts in a folder on my start screen. simple enough , but I still had to open the folder, and each contact to retrieve the number. Well I was watching the folder cycle though the names, it came to me, why not add the number with the name , John 123-123-123, (if you want the number above the name add it first), now the live tile will cycle though showing the name and phone number, open up the folder and you get all the names with number in front of you.
I've the Xperia X8. My question is how can I sort my contacts by last name. All my contacts are sorted by first name. Is it possible?

I also I can't add any new contacts (if someone calls for example). It's just happened for no reason! I have just performed a software update, then turned the phone off, taken the battery and sim card out and put them back in. Turned the phone on - still not resolved!

I open th recent call list and click one of the recent calls but instead of dialing that contact my phone dials a different contact which is different altogather. Initially i thought that I have selected wrong contact but recently I noticed that the contact it actually called was way down in the list that it was not even visible.
