I recently got my BB 9300 serviced, the BB guys replaced the entire hardware...so I believe the phone is is as good as new. However, when i connect the phone & sync with the BB desktop software, its recoginses the device as new & hence not all my contacts are available for use.

View 6 Replies View RelatedMy new E72 devolped an interesting problem:When i open the phonebook and start typing to look up a contact, a lot of contacts do not show up in the resukts. The same happens when i start typing on the home screen, however in messaging the lookup works. Example: want to call "Anna B." I type search for "Anna" in my phonebook, "Anna K." shows up, but "Anna B." and some other contacts containing "Anna" don't.search also does not work for the last name (for completeness).Interestingly, the affected numbers also don't show up on my car kit when the phone can't find them.I can, however just scroll through the contacts ( on the phone, not on the car kit) and, bang!, the missing contacts are actually there. so just search and car kit sync are affected.The problem can sometimes be solved by resterting the phone, sometimes not. In OVI Suite all (~280) Contacts show up and can be found.I have yet to determine wether the affected contacts are always the same, but it seems that way. They are a mixture of old/new with/without picture/email etc. so nothing obvious in common.

I have checked all the settings I can think of in case I have switched something off by mistake but have been unable to get any further. I only have 109 numbers in my phone so it should be able to take more, or is there a restriction?

i have a blackberry curve 8520. at the momment i have 288 contacts but i can not add more. I go to menu, address book, new contact, the window give me the options, i add the information (name, phone, email, etc) and when i want to save the contact it do not save
i tried to reboot removing the battery for a minute and restart but still with the same problem.
Also i figured out that when y sync my bb with the desktop manager, the address book is not sync it says (Adress book not installed) that is why i can not swipe the contacts to reinstall the info because i have no back up of the address book
Just got this phone and manually input all of my contacts with no problem. One day later, all those contacts are gone and it won't let me add more contacts. I have even tried adding them to my SIM and then copying them over...but still nothing.
