I have almost 300 entries in my contact list, some of them transferred from my old BlackBerry.None of my contacts are on my sim phone book as my device states it is empty.Is there a quick way to add my contacts to my media or sim phone book without having to do each one individually?
View 1 RepliesIt is annoying when you select a phone number from your history, contacts, or address book and the Bold auto dials the number. If you select the wrong number from the touch screen the phone auto dials the wrong selected number, and it is easy to do this on a touch screen.
I want to be able to launch the call from the phone call key so I can check the number before it is called. I want to be able to select a phone number and make sure I have the right one before the phone dials.
I just bought The Blackberry Bold, but when I get texts from contacts in my address book, it doesn't identify them by name, just by phone number. This was never a problem with my old Curve. Is there way to fix/adjust this?

My new E72 devolped an interesting problem:When i open the phonebook and start typing to look up a contact, a lot of contacts do not show up in the resukts. The same happens when i start typing on the home screen, however in messaging the lookup works. Example: want to call "Anna B." I type search for "Anna" in my phonebook, "Anna K." shows up, but "Anna B." and some other contacts containing "Anna" don't.search also does not work for the last name (for completeness).Interestingly, the affected numbers also don't show up on my car kit when the phone can't find them.I can, however just scroll through the contacts ( on the phone, not on the car kit) and, bang!, the missing contacts are actually there. so just search and car kit sync are affected.The problem can sometimes be solved by resterting the phone, sometimes not. In OVI Suite all (~280) Contacts show up and can be found.I have yet to determine wether the affected contacts are always the same, but it seems that way. They are a mixture of old/new with/without picture/email etc. so nothing obvious in common.

I have checked all the settings I can think of in case I have switched something off by mistake but have been unable to get any further. I only have 109 numbers in my phone so it should be able to take more, or is there a restriction?

When I pair the devices it will ask me on my phone if the car has permission to access my contacts and I'll say yes. View 5 Replies View RelatedSo I added a new gmail email address to my phone but by accident, when prompted told it to synch my contacts with that account. The first thing it did was import all the contacts to my gmail address book, on gmail.com, effectively erasing most of them from the phone. I took it into the t-mobile store and the guy somehow managed to recover about 1/3 of the contacts. So when I took it home, I deleted that email address and just plugged it into my computer and re-synched the contacts from my address book. However, whenever I look in my address book on the blackberry now, at the top of a contact it says "Sychronize using: emailaddress@gmail.com" (Obviously insert the email address I used). But that email address is no longer on my phone, so how is it synched with that? It also I think it is creating problems with synching up my facebook contacts as their pictures no longer show as icons on my phone. It's a minor problem, and seems to be a software issue, but is there any way to completely un-sych my contacts from this deleted email address?
