I have a Bold 9700 and I am using it in Vietnam.At the moment I am using it as a phone device only and have not connected the B'berry to my PC.A couple of weeks ago I have been unable to send SMS messages to certain contacts in my address book and a message appears as "X - Unidentified Subscriber",other sms messages to other contacts are sent with no problems.
View 5 Replieshave a Blackberry Curve 9320 on a Corporate SIM. This is new and I had my old mobile number ported to it on Friday.
Everything is working perfectly (phone calls; emails) accept for text messaging.
I am able to receive text messages but cannot send them to any number and receive an error message of 'unidentified subscriber'.
I know there are several other similar postings and I have tried everything they have suggested but to no avail. I have also spoke to 02 enterprise services but they cannot suggest anything else to me.
I have not sent sms on my bb 8900 for the past three month. Anytime I send it comes with a big red X and says unidentified subscriber. Also, I receive sms on a single folder and with my son (who is one of my contact) as the sender even though the message is from other different contacts.

It seems that I end up with multiple copies of a contact and then the synch gives me an error code 0x80040fb3 - error encountered. I tried to delete all of the contacts in the address book and resych. After attempting to delete the contacts, there are seven versions of the same contact. I cannot open or delete the contact. I have tried deleting the address book from the Blackberry desktop but that did not work.

The guy told me that in options, because "wireless sync" says Not Available, he couldn't do it. I can't change that setting either.

The contacts in my Bold 9780 are not syncing with the address book in my Macbook Pro. Eg new contacts that I've created in Bold do not appear in the address book. I did not have this problem previously until last week.

1-I can't send or receive texts from certain contacts (right now it only seems to be from my boyfriend, we're both on At&t).
2-My text threads lock-up. A new text comes in, but I can't actually open the message. I can open all the previous messages, but any message at the top won't open.
It is annoying when you select a phone number from your history, contacts, or address book and the Bold auto dials the number. If you select the wrong number from the touch screen the phone auto dials the wrong selected number, and it is easy to do this on a touch screen.
I want to be able to launch the call from the phone call key so I can check the number before it is called. I want to be able to select a phone number and make sure I have the right one before the phone dials.
I just bought The Blackberry Bold, but when I get texts from contacts in my address book, it doesn't identify them by name, just by phone number. This was never a problem with my old Curve. Is there way to fix/adjust this?
View 10 Replies View RelatedSo I added a new gmail email address to my phone but by accident, when prompted told it to synch my contacts with that account. The first thing it did was import all the contacts to my gmail address book, on gmail.com, effectively erasing most of them from the phone. I took it into the t-mobile store and the guy somehow managed to recover about 1/3 of the contacts. So when I took it home, I deleted that email address and just plugged it into my computer and re-synched the contacts from my address book. However, whenever I look in my address book on the blackberry now, at the top of a contact it says "Sychronize using: emailaddress@gmail.com" (Obviously insert the email address I used). But that email address is no longer on my phone, so how is it synched with that? It also I think it is creating problems with synching up my facebook contacts as their pictures no longer show as icons on my phone. It's a minor problem, and seems to be a software issue, but is there any way to completely un-sych my contacts from this deleted email address?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI noticed that my bold 9700 is restarting on its own , then the screen become white with writing JVM error 503, I search the internet to find out what happen, but few second later the phone rebooted own its own.
so i cross my finger while it was doing it. to my relieve it starts ok. But after few hours when i want to call somebody on my phone book, to my horror, the whole contacts on the address book are gone, not even 1 left, it’s totally empty. bbm, notepad, email, bookmarks, sms are fine , nothing is missing only the contacts are gone, and I’m now overseas for company meeting, and i didn’t bring any backup file with me, I’ve been a maniac for smart phones, i used Symbian, IPhone, android, winMo, etc and NONE of them ever give me such a problem out of no where, my 2000+ contacts are gone. And no I didn’t install or do anything to my phone since few weeks, cause I’m on my business trip.

I'm trying to organize my contacts and I want to replace all iphone contacts with address book contacts. every time I sync my phone it restores my old contacts.

i have a blackberry curve 8520. at the momment i have 288 contacts but i can not add more. I go to menu, address book, new contact, the window give me the options, i add the information (name, phone, email, etc) and when i want to save the contact it do not save
i tried to reboot removing the battery for a minute and restart but still with the same problem.
Also i figured out that when y sync my bb with the desktop manager, the address book is not sync it says (Adress book not installed) that is why i can not swipe the contacts to reinstall the info because i have no back up of the address book
Just got this phone and manually input all of my contacts with no problem. One day later, all those contacts are gone and it won't let me add more contacts. I have even tried adding them to my SIM and then copying them over...but still nothing.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI downloaded a CSV file of 2800 contacts to my new (used) BB 8700c. Turns out most of the contacts were garbled. I'd like to delete them all from the BB 8700c and start over. Is there any way to do a "select all" and then delete? Or even to shade multiple contact listings, scrolling down, and then delete? So far all I can see is being able to delete one by one, which would be impossible with 2800. My desktop manager software was installed for my BB Curve 8330 (Sprint). It seems to work partially for the BB 8700c (unlocked, formerly Cingular) but is unable to recognize applications on the device, and reports that a "certificate" is missing preventing use of the Media Manager (this may be because the 8700c does not have a camera so may not handle photos).
