I have not sent sms on my bb 8900 for the past three month. Anytime I send it comes with a big red X and says unidentified subscriber. Also, I receive sms on a single folder and with my son (who is one of my contact) as the sender even though the message is from other different contacts.
I have a Bold 9700 and I am using it in Vietnam. At the moment I am using it as a phone device only and have not connected the B'berry to my PC.A couple of weeks ago I have been unable to send SMS messages to certain contacts in my address book and a message appears as "X - Unidentified Subscriber",other sms messages to other contacts are sent with no problems.
I have the BB Bold 9700, and when I try to send SMS messages to certain numbers, it won't send and comes up with "unidentified subscriber".I did google the issue, and have tried taking the battery out. I also have the service number under options, so it's not that either.Anyone know what the problem is? It isn't all numbers, just some.
have a Blackberry Curve 9320 on a Corporate SIM. This is new and I had my old mobile number ported to it on Friday.
Everything is working perfectly (phone calls; emails) accept for text messaging.
I am able to receive text messages but cannot send them to any number and receive an error message of 'unidentified subscriber'.
I know there are several other similar postings and I have tried everything they have suggested but to no avail. I have also spoke to 02 enterprise services but they cannot suggest anything else to me.

I've just got a new BlackBerry Curve 9380 and I'm having trouble sending texts from it - each time I trry it comes up with the error message 'unidentified subscriber'. It's happening for various diffeent contacts so I think it's a problem with my phone rather than theirs. I've tried a battery pull and I checked the service centre number (it comes up as +447802000332).
am loving most things about my new Blackberry but the texting is proving to be a little glitchy. I receive texts but it comes up with 'unidentified subscriber' when I try to reply and messages have a red cross by them and will not send.
This is coming and going - typically I went into tech support shop day after I had gone online and it all seemed fine, but now has gone this way again?
There's this notification icon in my screen and it looks something like this image I uploaded (that'll be the one right next to the unread message envelope icon). Can someone tell me what that is and how I could retrieve (and eventually get rid of) it?
There is a speech bubble icon in my home screen which is driving me nuts. Does someone know what it is and how I can get rid off it? I have pasted a screenshot of my home screen with this message. The speech bubble icon, that I'm talking about, has the number 13 next to it.
About 5% of the time when I send an email, ithe message does not get sent immediately but shows a clock icon where there would be a check mark if it had been sent. I don't find any documentation on what the clock icon is supposed to mean. Any message that exhibits the clock just sits and does not get sent until I manually select "Resend". On my old 8800, occasionally if the service could not be contacted or was busy a message would hang around until the service became available and it would be sent automatically. In the current case, no matter how long I wait (days) it never gets sent automatically.
I am unable to receive text messages but able to send, when sending a text message to myself (for testing purposes) I get a red cross error message stating "unknown subscriber"
When I received this BB 8900, it was on 4.6.1.231 OS and I couldn't send SMS messages, but could receive them. I could send MMS and everything else was fully functional.I figured it was an OS problem and upgraded to 5.0.0.592, but still no luck.I guess I'm a complete novice at this since the last BB I owned was the Pearl and that was two years ago, so is there a way I can clean the whole device and put everything back to factory settings and start from the ground up?would this tactic solve my issue, anyway?
I recently got a Curve 8900, and I can only lock/unlock it by pressing the top button. On my brother's Curve.he's able to lock/unlock by pressing A+Send. For the life of me I can't figure out how to get mine to do the same thing.I went to the "Tips and Tricks" section for my phone, and it actually says that the A+Send option is the standard way to lock/unlock.Now I'm confused. Please help.
Can anyone suggest anything to help me please - since a few days ago I cannot send or receive any picture messages. I havent changed any of the settings or downloaded any apps so Im struggling to understand what it could be...?
My boyfriend has been trying to send me pictures from his n900 to my 8900 curve ,connection fails automatically, when tries to send me a file it asks on my bb if this code matches, and it never does.i can send to him,but he can't send to me.
I've recently been getting an icon in my HTC One M8's status bar, which is sort of like a pause symbol in a speech bubble. I initially thought it may have been the sleep mode function which can detect when you aren't using the phone so it turns off the data connection, but I turned that off and the symbol still appears.
It only appears for a few seconds when I unlock the phone and then it disappears, so it took loads of attempts to even get this screenshot. Ignore the other icons in the status bar, I've just got my phone plugged in to my PC. The Icon does seem to apear only when the phone is charging, either plugged into my PC or the mains. The symbol I'm confused about is the very top left symbol.
I have LG G3 with Android 5.0. From time to time a cartoon like pic of a man with a beard appears right on the spot where my photo appears as the current user. I scanned the phone with an antivirus software and the software did not find any viruses.
I have a screenshot but unfortunately question form does not allow me to paste any pics or any links that have the screenshots.
my galaxy S5.I have gained an unidentified icon on the lock screen and don't know what it is.I will describe it as the following. a round circle with a shoe in the middle and 2 dashes --It sits on the lock screen to the right of the outside tempreture. As soon as the screen is unlocked it goes.I have tried to upload a screen shot but am having difficulty.
I am using Nokia C2-01 Mobile.Recently I am obseving a New Identification Symbol on the Home Screen once the end party answers the Call.I have read the manual. But, I couldn't find it what is it or I might have missed.A part of that symbol looks as square root symbol and extended by another slant line and a horizontal line. The picture is shown in UnIdentifiedSymbol.JPG ?
I'm receiving a constant mystery alert tone from my Razr HD. I just purchased it a few days ago and I can't for the life of me figure out where the alert is coming from. When it goes off, it yields no information of its origin. Noting in the notification bar to indicate the source. The name of the alert is "burst" I use the "droid" alert tone, so I don't know why the "burst" tone is going off. I've shut off just about every notification I can find. I thought it was from my google voice app, but I still receive the alert even after I unistalled it.Some of the apps I use are Ebay, Yahoo, etsy fan, craiglist, I did install that Modern Combat game, viggle, netflix, PDA net, facebook, direct TV, angry birds starwars and thats about all I've installed so far..
my 8900 crashed on me today and they are replacing it.I decided to try the 9700 while I wait for the 8900.I was initially going to just sell the 8900 replacement on eBay and enjoy my new 9700.However, I am slightly disappointed with the 9700.I love the keyboard over the 8900.I also love the track pad and I thought I would hate it.What I don't like about the 9700 is the 3G seems to be about as slow as the EDGE. I don't use the browser much anyways so it is not much of a feature for me.Not sure if the better feeling keyboard and track pad is worth the price of a new $400 phone.Am I missing something about the 9700?
I used to be able to send emails no problem from my blackberry bold. However, I am no longer able to. When I go to send an email no "send" button is present only save draft. Even in full menu there is no send.
I had an 8310 and just bought an 8900 brand new off of eBay. I used the 8310's speakerphone A LOT for listening to music and loved it! I always took the back of the phone off too so that it wasn't coming through 2 little holes through the top. Is the sound quality and volume of the 8900 equal to or greater than the 8300 with its batter door off?
Just got myself a BB 8900, however it dosent seem to have any device memory, i have looked under memory in the options menu and it doesnt say anything about device memory and when i connect it to my PC i cannot find the phone on my computer unless i have a memory card pluged in,
After downloading and installing a theme from apps world my bb 8900 just freezed on the home screen and won't respnd to nothing.I tried resting it with ( alt+cap+del ) but when it rebooted it comes back with the same frozen screen.I tried battery pull and the result remain the same.It also won't connect to the desktop manager despite been connected to the pc.
I have a 8900 BB. I've had problems from day one with it. I'm on my third one. Blackberry said it was the OS. If it's not fixed, why do they keep sending me the same phone? On the latest one, I can't save, edit, or delete any contacts. I didn't realize it until I tried to put some new numbers in. I also can't send e-mails. I can receive them, I just can't send them. I was told this is the OS too. What if anything can I do? It locks up a lot too. I'll be in the middle of something and it just decides to reboot
