I recently updated my software and all my contacts in my phone book went missing, but when a call comes in the correct details of the person calling shows on the screen... this is very bizarre? I have tried everything to get them back, but nothing seems to be working. Even when I add a new contact it doesn't show in my phone book. How can I fix this?
View 6 RepliesMy new E72 devolped an interesting problem:When i open the phonebook and start typing to look up a contact, a lot of contacts do not show up in the resukts. The same happens when i start typing on the home screen, however in messaging the lookup works. Example: want to call "Anna B." I type search for "Anna" in my phonebook, "Anna K." shows up, but "Anna B." and some other contacts containing "Anna" don't.search also does not work for the last name (for completeness).Interestingly, the affected numbers also don't show up on my car kit when the phone can't find them.I can, however just scroll through the contacts ( on the phone, not on the car kit) and, bang!, the missing contacts are actually there. so just search and car kit sync are affected.The problem can sometimes be solved by resterting the phone, sometimes not. In OVI Suite all (~280) Contacts show up and can be found.I have yet to determine wether the affected contacts are always the same, but it seems that way. They are a mixture of old/new with/without picture/email etc. so nothing obvious in common.

I have checked all the settings I can think of in case I have switched something off by mistake but have been unable to get any further. I only have 109 numbers in my phone so it should be able to take more, or is there a restriction?

When I pair the devices it will ask me on my phone if the car has permission to access my contacts and I'll say yes. When I go into the phonebook on the car or try to voice dial by a name it only pulls 10ish contacts from my phone. View 3 Replies View RelatedBrand new Z5 Compact out of box. Switched from iOS and thus used iSMS2Droid/SMS Backup & Restore-trick to transfer text conversations to android. Worked like a charm apart from the fact that the profile pictures i messages are not the same as in phone book. Not a major issue but quite annoying.

I have tried the following
1. Delete conversation, delete messenger data & cache, restart, write new message - fawlty profile picture comes back
2. Delete contact in phonebook, create new contact with new picture - does not sync

I notice that if I click faulty profile picture in messages I get transferred to a contact which is not in my phone book, while if I click a correct profile picture in messages I get transferred to the proper contact.Â

So, how to get this to work correctly? Go back to factory settings is an option I guess but I'm worried the messages are synced somwhere so nothing will change by the time I come back.Â

My phone numbers saved on the device are missing in the contacts folder but the messages with those numbers are still in the messages folder withthenames and numbers properly written.how do I get the numbers back on the device? My phone is Nokia asha 200.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Canadian Rogers Torch 9180, software 7.0.0.254, platfirn 5.0.0.451, available KB 167173.The phone is activated on our cloud Blackberry Administration Service with Exchange 365 and for some reason the CICAL service book is missing on the device so any calendar invites are blank. I have followed BB article KB10594 and on the BAS tried resending the service books. On the device properties it does say that the last transaction was delievered and nothing I can see has failed. Obviously since the CICAL book is missing I am unable to delete and undelete it as per the KB article.
We only have one default IT policy and others are on it without any issues. And yes I have double checked that nothing is disabled in the PIM sync in the policy. We do not have any Groups setup, everyone is under the default group.Not using any other calendar apps on the phone. In the BAS it does say that the Wireless calendar is Disabled but there's no way I can see in the BAS to enable the calendar.
My address book went missing the day before yesterday. I don't remember any error messages. I have checked all filters and they are not checked. Is there a way that I can retrieve these contacts? And my call log shows the names of the contacts properly but my messages do not have names attached just phone numbers.
