I recently updated my software and all my contacts in my phone book went missing, but when a call comes in the correct details of the person calling shows on the screen... this is very bizarre? I have tried everything to get them back, but nothing seems to be working. Even when I add a new contact it doesn't show in my phone book. How can I fix this?
My new E72 devolped an interesting problem:When i open the phonebook and start typing to look up a contact, a lot of contacts do not show up in the resukts. The same happens when i start typing on the home screen, however in messaging the lookup works. Example: want to call "Anna B." I type search for "Anna" in my phonebook, "Anna K." shows up, but "Anna B." and some other contacts containing "Anna" don't.search also does not work for the last name (for completeness).Interestingly, the affected numbers also don't show up on my car kit when the phone can't find them.I can, however just scroll through the contacts ( on the phone, not on the car kit) and, bang!, the missing contacts are actually there. so just search and car kit sync are affected. The problem can sometimes be solved by resterting the phone, sometimes not. In OVI Suite all (~280) Contacts show up and can be found.I have yet to determine wether the affected contacts are always the same, but it seems that way. They are a mixture of old/new with/without picture/email etc. so nothing obvious in common.
How do I remove all my FB contacts from my phone book? they are all in there and I don't want them in there. I never knowingly asked for them in there. The manual for my phone does not help as it bears no resemblance to my phoen anymore. Not sure I like this new software. It doesnot even have the alphabet for easy scrolling in the music.
I upgraded my phone to 2.1 and have a regular sync via PC Companion, but can no longer see my contacts when trying to dial. My phone reads, 'Cannot read from SIM ...'. However, if I go to create a new text message, I can Add Recipient and access all of my contacts, just as they appear on the SE Sync site.
i have a two year old curve 8520. Suddenly i am facing a problem. i am not able to add any new contact or edit existing contact. I have restarted my phone number of times but the problem still persists.
i cannot edit my phone book contacts (add new contacts or edit a number) on my curve 9300, an error message appears: uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_addressbook_app(256) is not responding; process terminated,
I have almost 300 entries in my contact list, some of them transferred from my old BlackBerry.None of my contacts are on my sim phone book as my device states it is empty. Is there a quick way to add my contacts to my media or sim phone book without having to do each one individually?
I recently got my BB 9300 serviced, the BB guys replaced the entire hardware...so I believe the phone is is as good as new. However, when i connect the phone & sync with the BB desktop software, its recoginses the device as new & hence not all my contacts are available for use.
I have had my iPhone 5C for a month now and when I first had it I was able to add phone contacts. Now when I try, the cursor flashes ready for the information but the onscreen keyboard won't come up to enable me to type any information. I have checked all the settings I can think of in case I have switched something off by mistake but have been unable to get any further. I only have 109 numbers in my phone so it should be able to take more, or is there a restriction?
I have a sony ericcson xperia x10, and i know most of my friend's with android phones have their facebook contacts in their address book? I just wanted to know how i get the facebook contacts in my address book and have previous contacts pictures in the address book.
It is annoying when you select a phone number from your history, contacts, or address book and the Bold auto dials the number. If you select the wrong number from the touch screen the phone auto dials the wrong selected number, and it is easy to do this on a touch screen.
I want to be able to launch the call from the phone call key so I can check the number before it is called. I want to be able to select a phone number and make sure I have the right one before the phone dials.
I just bought The Blackberry Bold, but when I get texts from contacts in my address book, it doesn't identify them by name, just by phone number. This was never a problem with my old Curve. Is there way to fix/adjust this?
I'm having trouble syncing all of my contacts from my Samsung Galaxy S5 to my new 2015 Chevy Malibu. When I pair the devices it will ask me on my phone if the car has permission to access my contacts and I'll say yes. When I go into the phonebook on the car or try to voice dial by a name it only pulls 10ish contacts from my phone. I've tried re-pairing, turning off wifi and re-pairing, making sure 4g is on and re-pairing to no avail. Again.
how I manually add a contact. I had a look at the help page and it tells me to open Timescape and do it that way. But it's a new phone and I don't have any records in there. I jusr want to add some more contacts. I know I can do this via my Google contacts but there must be a simple way to do it on the phone, but I just can't find it.
Brand new Z5 Compact out of box. Switched from iOS and thus used iSMS2Droid/SMS Backup & Restore-trick to transfer text conversations to android. Worked like a charm apart from the fact that the profile pictures i messages are not the same as in phone book. Not a major issue but quite annoying. Â I have tried the following
1. Delete conversation, delete messenger data & cache, restart, write new message - fawlty profile picture comes back 2. Delete contact in phonebook, create new contact with new picture - does not sync  I notice that if I click faulty profile picture in messages I get transferred to a contact which is not in my phone book, while if I click a correct profile picture in messages I get transferred to the proper contact.  So, how to get this to work correctly? Go back to factory settings is an option I guess but I'm worried the messages are synced somwhere so nothing will change by the time I come back.  I run Nova Launcher but don't quite think that matters.
My phone numbers saved on the device are missing in the contacts folder but the messages with those numbers are still in the messages folder withthenames and numbers properly written.how do I get the numbers back on the device? My phone is Nokia asha 200.
I have a Canadian Rogers Torch 9180, software 220.127.116.11, platfirn 18.104.22.1681, available KB 167173.The phone is activated on our cloud Blackberry Administration Service with Exchange 365 and for some reason the CICAL service book is missing on the device so any calendar invites are blank. I have followed BB article KB10594 and on the BAS tried resending the service books. On the device properties it does say that the last transaction was delievered and nothing I can see has failed. Obviously since the CICAL book is missing I am unable to delete and undelete it as per the KB article.
We only have one default IT policy and others are on it without any issues. And yes I have double checked that nothing is disabled in the PIM sync in the policy. We do not have any Groups setup, everyone is under the default group. Not using any other calendar apps on the phone. In the BAS it does say that the Wireless calendar is Disabled but there's no way I can see in the BAS to enable the calendar.
My address book went missing the day before yesterday. I don't remember any error messages. I have checked all filters and they are not checked. Is there a way that I can retrieve these contacts? And my call log shows the names of the contacts properly but my messages do not have names attached just phone numbers.
Trying to Sync via PC patch cable the BB Address Book (Contacts) with MS Outlook Contacts.Set-up failing apparently because wireless data sync with the Bold is turned ON. Can't locate referenced setting on the device to turn OFF.
