Every so often, the option to automatically syncronise accounts turns itself off.
Very annoying, as I rely on my phone for work e-mails that I must respond to quickly, but when this option turns itself off, obviously I do not get any alerts.This happened under 2.3.4, and is stilll happening after a reset and upgrade to 4.0.4
I have a blackberry curve 9300 which I bought in January this year and from practically the first day I turned it on I've had problems with it. The phone freezes a lot and on a regular basis the phone just turns off and resist itself. I can be texting and look away and look back and the phoneheads just reset and it does this a couple of times day. Less than a month ago it was sent for a repair with Tesco (who I bought the phone from) and they sent it back saying that they couldn't find a fault on it. The phone still does the same and I've phoned tesco again and they have said that the only thing they can do is to send the phone to the repair shop again to be checked. What do you suggest I do as I need a phone that works and cannot just keep sending it to be repaired to be told there isn't a fault over and over again.

I'm trying to syncronize using PC Companion between Lotus Notes and my Goggle calender. Getting 'syncronization failed due to a unnkown error'. Syncronizing contacts works - but not the Notes calender. Notes version is 8.5.3. where to get more information about the 'unnkonwn error' - or to make it work .....?

View 1 Replies View RelatedSaben, no me gusta tener contactos en la SIM, siempre se pueden perder, romper, te pueden robar el telefono, etc etc, por eso decidi guardar todos mis contactos en una cuenta de gmail y sincronizarlos con mi Xperia Mini Pro, claro, el problema es que en Gmail tengo mas de 8000 contactos, algunos con numero telefonico y otros que no, guardados en diferentes carpetas, he visto que gmail tiene por defecto una carpeta denominada "Starred with Android", sin embargo la sincronizacion la realiza con el total de contactos guardados en la cuenta de Gmail, y el usuario solo tiene algunas opciones en "Contactos para mostrar"... El problema es que cuando ingresamos a "Contactos" en el telefono y realizamos una busqueda, este busca en la totalidad de los contactos (es lo que pude ver) y el telefono se torna extremadamente lento (pues claro, buscar una persona de 8000). En resumen, solo hay opciones para "MOSTRAR" ciertos contactos pero no para elegir QUE carpeta incronizar y cual no.
Lo que quiero saber es si existe la posibilidad de que la sincronizacion de Gmail con el telefono se puede resrtringir solo a una carpeta definida, una carpeta donde pueda guardar 100 o 200 contactos y que el telefono no descargue tanta informacion inecesaria, por ende aumentar su velocidad de busqueda.
I'd like to report a bug... the autodectection on the mail account doesn't work well, when using MS Exchange Server...
It only finds the Mail Account, but doesn't sync Calendar and Contacts...after this worked like a charm on my old S4..

I have had the z3 for 3 days and it randomly restarts of its own accord. Sometimes when it's sitting doing nothing!

With the former version of Sony bridge I could easily synchronize my music with iTunes (11.0.1). Now I get a failure notice after choosing some songs and clicking the "synchronize"-Button saying: "Synchronization with x failures completed." I reinstalled Sony bridge for Mac, but it didn't solve the problem.

View 8 Replies View RelatedMy wife has a Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray, bought it roughly a month ago. After we updated her phone to ICS through PCC it occationally starts ringing for no reason. It has happened two times in the ~2 weeks she had ICS.The screen does not show anything special during the ringing sound, when the screen is unlocked we can just see the homescreen, no notifaction, nothing.The ringing is the "Sony Ericsson" ringtone and for what it is worth my wife is not using that ringtone for anything, not for incoming calls, notifications or alarms.The only way to stop the ringing seems to be to drag down the "top bar" which shows the clock, battery, signal strength, notifications and so on.
The presented solution seems to be chosen because they believed that it was only one isolated user having the problem. I however do believe that it is a software bug in the Xperia Ray ICS version.
I've gotten a SonyEricsson Xperia cellphone recently, it is working very well, only issue is it's display become on and off repeatedly,when it's sitting some where in sleep mode (blank light), starts to make the display on and off, whithout any reason. I changed the time out setting few time, but still is the same. Sometimes I think about effects of other cellphones around mine, but I'm nut sure, even if they are effecting I can not change the situation.

View 1 Replies View RelatedDuring the first month of using my Xperia pro, I was very happy with my battery: while being completely idle, the phone spent only about 1% of battery every 2 of even 3 hours. However, last month this suddenly changed to 5% every hour (in airplane mode!), without installing any applications. Actually, right after charging, the battery behaved well for several hours, and then, for no obvious reason, started the drain. Things got worse lately, and I rarely see the good behavior any more.
I tried using apps like BetterBatteryStats and CpuSpy and noted that during the drain periods my phone does not enter deep sleep state at all (i.e. it is awake 100% of the time). BBS ("Raw kernel wakelocks") reported that bq24185_watchdog_lock was active for the whole time (hours!); no other processes or wakelocks took more than few seconds. This bq24185_watchdog_lock seems to be related to the battery charge management hardware (see [URL]). How to restore the initial battery behavior. Removing the battery for a couple of minutes does not work. I have the official kernel and that my phone is not rooted.
Over the last 3 days ive noticed my phone using a lot more battery than it usually does, i can usually get upto 2 days battery usage when its used frequently, but it has been getting less than a day over the last 3 days.
I turned the phone off with the power button and tried to turn it on again, The instant i press the power button the screen turns on (stays black but becomes a dark grey with the backlight) for about 30 seconds, but nothing else happens, the screen turns off after those 30 seconds and its back to square 1.I have tried turning it on again without a sim card, or memory card, or both and still the same result
I turned my phone off and when I tried to turn it on the apple logo appeared on the screen but then it shut down. I have tried turning it on several times but the same thing happens over and over again. I plugged it in to my computer and also tried charging it but nothing works!

I've had this iPhone for about 7-8 months, and this started 3 weeks ago, I woke up in the morning and looked at the time on my phone, and it suddenly just turns off and turns back on showing the apple logo, and now it happened again twice!! So i turned my iphone off by holding the power and home buttons and now whenever I turn it on it stays on the apple logo screen for about 10 seconds and then switches itself off.
