Jun 24, 2012Question for Matt, or anyone who can answer this: does setting the battery saving mode to marathon also affect the time it takes for the Motoactv to auto restart recording a workout when you have come to a stop?What happened was that I had to stop at a busy intersection to wait for traffic to clear. In the minute or so that I had to wait, the auto pause kicked in. When I started moving again, it took several hundred yards for the Moto to restart the workout. I panicked a bit and hit the restart button manually when it didn't start right away, but it seems that auto restart was working -- it just took an awful long time to kick in.Anyway, to get to the nub of the question -- since the marathon setting ostensibly checks signals less often than the "normal" setting (every 3 sec. rather than every second), is it possible that the auto restart is going to have a longer lag time between when the bike starts moving and when it restarts than if I had the battery mode set to "normal".

Sep 21, 2012My wife has a Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray, bought it roughly a month ago. After we updated her phone to ICS through PCC it occationally starts ringing for no reason. It has happened two times in the ~2 weeks she had ICS.The screen does not show anything special during the ringing sound, when the screen is unlocked we can just see the homescreen, no notifaction, nothing.The ringing is the "Sony Ericsson" ringtone and for what it is worth my wife is not using that ringtone for anything, not for incoming calls, notifications or alarms.The only way to stop the ringing seems to be to drag down the "top bar" which shows the clock, battery, signal strength, notifications and so on.
The presented solution seems to be chosen because they believed that it was only one isolated user having the problem. I however do believe that it is a software bug in the Xperia Ray ICS version.
Xperia Mini/pro :: Display On And Off Whithout Any Reason?
Jan 30, 2012I've gotten a SonyEricsson Xperia cellphone recently, it is working very well, only issue is it's display become on and off repeatedly,when it's sitting some where in sleep mode (blank light), starts to make the display on and off, whithout any reason. I changed the time out setting few time, but still is the same. Sometimes I think about effects of other cellphones around mine, but I'm nut sure, even if they are effecting I can not change the situation.

Feb 29, 2012During the first month of using my Xperia pro, I was very happy with my battery: while being completely idle, the phone spent only about 1% of battery every 2 of even 3 hours. However, last month this suddenly changed to 5% every hour (in airplane mode!), without installing any applications. Actually, right after charging, the battery behaved well for several hours, and then, for no obvious reason, started the drain. Things got worse lately, and I rarely see the good behavior any more.
I tried using apps like BetterBatteryStats and CpuSpy and noted that during the drain periods my phone does not enter deep sleep state at all (i.e. it is awake 100% of the time). BBS ("Raw kernel wakelocks") reported that bq24185_watchdog_lock was active for the whole time (hours!); no other processes or wakelocks took more than few seconds. This bq24185_watchdog_lock seems to be related to the battery charge management hardware (see [URL]). How to restore the initial battery behavior. Removing the battery for a couple of minutes does not work. I have the official kernel and that my phone is not rooted.
