I have had the phone since first launch with no issues until now
From time to time, the phone will not start charging when power cord i connected, simply nothing happens. when I restart the phone the charging will start (with the same original charger).
For the last few days my phone battery only lasts 8 hours without hardly any use. When I plug the charger in, nothing happens. I have to switch off the phone which sometimes reboots when I do this, then it starts charging. I use advance task killer to shut as many apps down as possible but the battery still drains fast. I havent installed anything new for a while. I have looked at the tips on batterys forum but still cant find the problem.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have got major problem with SD card usage. To cut the story short, it is not usable! Nothing can be copied or moved to sd card, all files got deleted as soon as I restart the device. Curently, I am running Lollipop, but there was the same problem on Kitkat.

If I press any key(on/off,home) it restart and take the restarting time. My Android version is 4.0.4 and Build number is 4.1.B.0.587
View 6 Replies View RelatedBeen having my Z3 for 3 months now running Android lollipop, I installed a new 128GB micro Sd few a month ago and it was working properly until a week ago, I restarted my phone and all applications on SD went missing, I couldn't access any application of them all am getting is an icon of blue print with a red SD circle ND if I try to access it an error pops up "application not found".
I plugged the phone to my laptop still I couldn't access the Sd card, so I took it off the phone and tried accessing it through an SD adapter and it worked fine, I can find everything properly saved in the card.
Tried formatting it and installing it again in my Z3, MY PHONE recognized it Instantly, but after restarting the phone all applications went missing again.
Every time when I restart my xperia z2 some random old messages are resend. These messages don't show in the messaging app either so I have no way of knowing which messages were send and to who. I've checked with my provider but they couldn't fix it. It's really annoying because I constantly have to explain that I did not send any message.

If the phone is connected to a charger (the car charger in my case) and power is interrupted to that connection for more than a couple of seconds, the phone will not go back on charge unless the USB plug is removed from the phone and re-inserted WITH power already on the plug. Similarly, one cannot plug in the charger to the phone and then plug the charger into the car outlet - phone does not start charging.

The phone also starts when i firstly power off the switch on the board and unplug the socket than unplug the usb cable from the phone. It doesn't starts if i first unplug the usb cable.
I'm charging my x8 for about 2 hours, the phone is connected and there is orange light but the battery level still at 19%. It still the same even i've take the battery out and restart it.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've had Xperia Z2 for almost two months now, today when I was at work I noticed that it was off, although it had more than 40% of battery still remaining. I tried turning it back on but as it didn't work I figured something was wrong with it.
I tried hard reset and it did vibrate three times, but it still wouldn't turn on. I thought something drained the battary and waited till I got home to charge it. Now that I am at home it doesn't even charge, none of the LED lights work, it won't connect to pc companion either and hard reset now does nothing (as in, it doesn't vibrate 3 times anymore).
I tried volume up/down+power button combination, hard reset, held the reset button for longer than 15 sec, I removed sd card and sim, nothing works the phone is just lifeless. I haven't dropped it or used it intensely, it never overheat or anything of that sort.
My xperia z2 is completely discharged, while I do not use it. He lay there for about a week, maybe more. Now I tried to turn it on, but it does not turn on. Does not respond to a hard reset, and not charging. I tried to charge it for 2 consecutive days. He did not turn on. When I tried to connect it to a PC, the red LED lights up. Do not run any mode fastboot nor flashmod. The LED is still illuminated. Although the phone is not connected to anything.

I charge my phone overnight, every other day due to the lovely battery life.
But a couple times now, I have woken up to a dead phone. And being late due to no alarm!
I changed chargers and leads and no change.
Last night, I woke at 2am to my phone going nuts, kept notifying me of the charger being plugged in, then out, then in, then out, over and over again and buzzing at same time and would not respond to my input.
Eventually the screen went blank, vibrating continued until I thnk it just ran out of power!
