Today, for some reason, when I place my phone in a horizontal position, the 3D camera app starts itself up. when the phone is vertical, there's no problem. but when I lay it down . . . the camera loads. and when I go into the cached applications to kill it, there are always 4 instances of it running.

And recently a small problem started occur,some times when she shall recharge the phone ( no matter if it's though the computer or wall socket ), the camera starts by it self and start taking photos.The phone continuous to take photos until we unplug the cable, it don't work that we turn of the camera app, it just start over again, and continuous to take photos.

The only way to get the picture back is to switch to the rear camera and then back to the front camera and then it starts working again and then after a while it starts flashing again!

View 6 Replies View RelatedMy wife has a Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray, bought it roughly a month ago. After we updated her phone to ICS through PCC it occationally starts ringing for no reason. It has happened two times in the ~2 weeks she had ICS.The screen does not show anything special during the ringing sound, when the screen is unlocked we can just see the homescreen, no notifaction, nothing.The ringing is the "Sony Ericsson" ringtone and for what it is worth my wife is not using that ringtone for anything, not for incoming calls, notifications or alarms.The only way to stop the ringing seems to be to drag down the "top bar" which shows the clock, battery, signal strength, notifications and so on.
The presented solution seems to be chosen because they believed that it was only one isolated user having the problem. I however do believe that it is a software bug in the Xperia Ray ICS version.
i have a problem with my Active right now? the phone was very incredible when its starts at 2.3 then suddenly i heard a news that Xperia active has already an ice cream sandwhich o.s and i am happy that my new phone is starting with a new o.s after an hour the update of my phone was complete. so many changes ive seen? the u.i and less heat. then a day after tomorrow my phone starts to get hang once ive always open my applications especially browser and messeging always hang up and i dont know what to do?

View 3 Replies View Relatedprobably since the last Android Update to 4.0.4, my Ray with 4.1.B.0.587 starts self-actuated a permanent reboot loop whenever I am crossing the German-Austrian border and therefore reaching an Austrian (i.e. foreign) network.
The loop restarts whenever it reaches the point where it checks the SIM card and then starts with a Sony screen like when I switch it on. The loop can only be interrupted by removing the battery. OK, also by going back to Germany. I have full phone roaming authorization from my home network (vodafone), yet for data roaming I need to purchase day or week packages. Up to that Android update, all that worked perfectly, including tehtering.
So, in fact, I am currently not able to use my phone in foreign networks.
I have a Neo MT15i which was upgraded to the latest ICS patch through the OTA update. A few days late the phone suddenly appeared dead, and when i restarted (had to remove the battery), i get the phone start vibration but nothing appears on the screen.
I connected it to a PC and the PC companion was able to detect the phone, and i could even do the firmware upgrade. However the phone display refuses to switch on and none of the lights come on.
I then gave it to a local phone shop who said it was an issue with the phone and replaced the display and downgraded the firmware to 2.3.3. Again it worked for a few days and the same problem where the display shut down but i could get calls occured.
I tried many options given in the forum for xperia phones (press the power and volume up, remove battery and connect the charger, and then add the battery, etc) but no avail. now i get the start vibration from the phone, but nothing more.
my xperia x 10 starts up but stays on the Sony Ericsson logo and wont go past it even tough ive updated it?

So I went to my service provider and they didn't sell any actual Xperia x10 chargers so I bought a universal charger. So now I'm on my second charger, and my phone won't charge. Any time I plug it in or even get it started it either turns off or the battery starts draining instead of charging. I don't know what to do with this phone. There is no water damage and I haven't even had my phone for a year.

It is somehow stuck in a reset loop, it starts in safe mode, is locked and won't allow me to press any buttons at all. Once it is turned on i have to remove the battery to turn it off. My warranty has run out for this phone now but I do like it and don't currently have the money to get a new one really.

A friend is having troubles with his Z3 : He used to take pictures with the quick camera launch button, but since a recent camera or system update, when he use this button, the camera is set to automatic mode instead of manual, with poor resolution and quality settings. If he launches the camera with the standard button from the phone menu, everything is fine and perfectly set up.
When the camera is used from the quick button and set back to the correct quality settings and manual mode, after closing it, it goes back to auto mode with bad settings. Same thing when he slides the camera icon from the locked screen. The only way to get the proper settings when launching the camera is to use the icon from the phone's menu.
He tried a lot of things, from uninstalling the camera updates to searching everywhere on the internet, there is no information or messages about this problem.
My camera flash keeps going off randomly on it's own and when I try to run camera, it says: "Cannot connect to camera."

This happens specially when the applicatons that scan barcodes are used ("AT&T Code Scanner", "OK Scan"), but not exclusively. Among the apps bringing the camera to a crash there are some of good reputation, like for example "Perfectly Clear". In the emergency mode the camera works OK.

The issue is the same as in this thread for Z1, however it disappoints me that the same happens in Z3 which is so much newer.

The support advised me to clear the data for the camera (Applications menu) and restart the phone. No dice, so they advised to reset the phone to factory defaults. I did it twice, due to after the first time I found exactly which apps caused the problem. It took me a day to restore everything to the original state .

Afterwards, the camera was stuck by "Perfectly Clear", a decent app written by a "Best programmer". I was depressed.

However, there is a solution: simply clearing all the apps running in the background (["three permanent keys in the bottom" | "two rectangles" | clear all], or [an icon with a green brush]). This works without a restart.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a bb torch on vodafone uk and for the last week or so when I turn the phone on I get a list of options from vodafone like, horoscopes,weather,customer services,news etc if I click on one it will send a txt to me about such subject but I want rid! On vodafone mobiles u get a little sim like icon on the home screen that pulls up this menu but it is coming up automatic when phone is turned on! Have tried the usual battery pull but no joy. Its not a massive deal but does get quite anoying when u go to get ur phone out and end up sending for the latest vodafone prices etc.
