BB Torch :: Icon Came Up When It Starts

I have a bb torch on vodafone uk and for the last week or so when I turn the phone on I get a list of options from vodafone like, horoscopes,weather,customer services,news etc if I click on one it will send a txt to me about such subject but I want rid! On vodafone mobiles u get a little sim like icon on the home screen that pulls up this menu but it is coming up automatic when phone is turned on! Have tried the usual battery pull but no joy. Its not a massive deal but does get quite anoying when u go to get ur phone out and end up sending for the latest vodafone prices etc.

I did do a quick search, but when I first start recording video in Nokia camera or Nokia camera beta, I get a static sound. When I use the built in camera no sound.

When ever I watch a video and I get maybe 5-10mins in the movie the video starts to unsync with the voices, has anyone gotten this issue an is there a fix for this?

Is there any way to adjust the time the screen starts to darken? It gets monotonous pushing the back button or whatever it's called.

I got a BB Torch, i tried to set up the email by following the demo online, but there is no personal email setting on there just work email, and i tried to set up my email as enterprise account, it showed activation request failed.

In the status bar in which icons such as new BBM message or calendar alert, I currently have a number 1 with a Wi-Fi icon next to it. I have searched the online manual and it shows me every icon but this one. Usually, when you tap on said status bar, a list of alert drops down. Any and all icons that have appeared show me why they are there, e.g.: new email from Buddy, new BBM from Marco. This particular icon shows nothing.

I use a TORCH 9800. After i recenthy updated my app world to 4.0.63, the app world icon is missing. I installed it, still not found, I tried HIDDEN options, tried RE-BOOTINGI found a page where there were 4 causes and 4 resolutions given. The first 3 i tried and no use. The 4 th option is to click the given URL and update the device software, but that URL itself is not working.

My Wife has a BB Torch and we can't find the 'Places' icon on the ribbon/banner of the Facebook app. I pressed the menu button and check options but there was nothing in there. I tried to check for Face updates but it was check off to check automatically. GPS location is enabled in system properties.

I just had an OS update to the phone today (12/17/11) And as usual I had to resetup everything on the phone. Well I setup three email accounts, one of which is gmail (my main one). It is the only one of the three that did not create an icon when I confirmed it was setup. It only shows up messages in the main messaging icon for all email accounts.I have hard restarted the phone, I have uninstalled and reinstalled all the emails again, nothing changes.

The button for the browser randomly dissappreared from my phone a few weeks ago. I can still access the net by typing in generic words it allows me to search through google and then I can type in the web address I want to go however I cant access the browser any other way.

I received a message last night from god knows who or what... now i have some strange icon in my status bar, which after spending the day searching for an answer, find out is some web page link, which im ""supposed"" to follow. On principal i wouldnt go to the link, ive got better things to do than twatter or facepalm my every breath of the day I cant delete the dam thing, as im supposed to have a link / message whch will offer me the option.to remove.As i deleted the message the link is gone, the icon however remains!

I recently purchased a Touch 9800. the device is running OS 6.0 Bundle 1907. In the notification area (between the Profile icon and serach icon) where it shows the number of text messages, emails, missed calls etc, a symbol has appear that looks like the WiFi symbol but in yellow. Does any know what this notification icon means or where there is a complete list of icons on the web?

The text message icon normally disappears once I review the notification or read the text message itself. Same for any type of notification. The trouble is that sometimes the notification icon remains. I receive the notification, activate the icon but the icon remains in the notification area. Reactivating it opens a reply screen with the onscreen keboard. Hitting return does not eliminate the notification.
Cannot tell why it happens some times but it appears to only happen with text messsages. The sole solution is to reboot. A nuisance with corrupt icons. Whose problem, the carrier (Rogers) or BB ?
