I can't seem to get rid of the facebook notification icon on my phone. I tried shutting the phone off and that didn't do anything. I just want to know how to get rid of the icon because its something that I've already checked out but the icon won't go away and its kind of annoying!
I recently purchased a Touch 9800. the device is running OS 6.0 Bundle 1907. In the notification area (between the Profile icon and serach icon) where it shows the number of text messages, emails, missed calls etc, a symbol has appear that looks like the WiFi symbol but in yellow. Does any know what this notification icon means or where there is a complete list of icons on the web?
The text message icon normally disappears once I review the notification or read the text message itself. Same for any type of notification. The trouble is that sometimes the notification icon remains. I receive the notification, activate the icon but the icon remains in the notification area. Reactivating it opens a reply screen with the onscreen keboard. Hitting return does not eliminate the notification.
Cannot tell why it happens some times but it appears to only happen with text messsages. The sole solution is to reboot. A nuisance with corrupt icons. Whose problem, the carrier (Rogers) or BB ?
I have a Torch 9800. This is my first blackberry. I download a flash light app. I now have a notification icon that appears to be from the Flashlight app. When I click it it shows me my calender information and nothing about the flash light app. How do I remove this?
Since I connected my device to my PC a couple of days ago, the Email notification icon that comes up on my Home screen has changed from the 'speech bubble' to the 'envelope' which is identical to the email notifier. I want to change it back but no one seems to know how to? I have tried my mobile network and they are clueless.
I only go on facebook every now and then on my phone and I have before and got the notification and was able to delete them. Tonight when I clicked on the 10fb icon, nothing shows...?
My little message notification icon doesn't count how many new messages I have anymore... Not that it's a necessity, but all my other notifications still count, why doesn't this one how to get it to work properly again?
I got a BB Torch, i tried to set up the email by following the demo online, but there is no personal email setting on there just work email, and i tried to set up my email as enterprise account, it showed activation request failed.
I've recently come upon a severely aggravating problem: I have a message notification icon that will just not go away. It shows that I have an unread message in my SMS/MMS, but there is nothing at all. I've marked all previous items as opened and even went so far as to delete all of my previous messages, but no dice. The rest of my notifications are working perfectly fine, appearing and disappearing as they should. Any suggestions or fixes? (And yes, of course I already tried a battery pull, I'm aware that's it is the BB panacea for all problems).
Theres this weird notification icon on the notification bar, and it's an envelope, with what I believe is a blackberry symbol in the center, and a red circle with a 1 on the top right corner I believe. I checked other forums, and I followed their instuctions to go to the main email and click the show all one, but there is none. I also tried clicking "mark all prior unopened" and nothing happened. It is really bugging me. I also checked my bbm, all of the apps, and everything else there is to check, but nothing has happened.
The Boomsound icon will periodically pop up in the notification bar along with a sound. Did a search but came up with nothing. Last night it was doing it when i was simply surfing the web. What causes this and how to stop it? It will do it when I am not even touching it and mostly does it when i pick it up or move it.
There is a key icon beside the battery icon in the pull down notification tray and I don't know what that is and if it's something that I should just ignore or what. Some say it's VPN but some say it isn't.
I've got the phone z3+ dual e6533 recently, after I install CWM Helium, it configuration the MTP option to SDCARD, then how i can change that option after that. No matter in the storage setting or the usb connectivity setting, i can't find a hope.No USB icon and notification is shown, when i tell it to install software on computer, it change to MTP for that time with the notification, but no reaction when I tap the notification.
So I was reading a review for the iPhone 4, and it had pictures of the home screen. This guy had notifications for his calender. now call me a total nob, but is this just for iPhone 4? or can someone tell me how to do this, because I would like to see if I have an event that day without looking at my calender.
one of the things i like about the S5 is that I can tell at a glance at my home-screen that I have a certain number of unread emails, text messages, Facebook notifications, etc. that is not the case with voice-mails. As far as I can tell there is NO way to get a notification on the home screen via an icon that there is one or more voice-mails waiting for me to retrieve. As I generally keep my phone on vibrate or silent, this is a bit of an issue for me. Am I missing anything?
I have a star icon on the notification bar and don't know what it is and how to get rid of it. I went to the user guide message icons page but the star icon is not listed there.
I'm using BBM 5.0.1.38 on my 9700. Since then, my BB Group notification icon for every group always display the same icon instead of specific icon that I set it to each of group.
Was transfering photo from old phone to HTC Desire HD via Bluetooth and lost connection. I now have permanent bluetooth notification icon in notification bar say "null" wants to transfer file no bytes. Accept or decline. Selecting either does nothing. I assume the HTC no longer knows where "null" device is. Is there anyway to clear this notification without a factory reset.
Problem observed by me on any firmware version, I'm using actually v 50.0.005 in my 5800XM.If you have over 200 e-mails in your mailbox on server and you have downloaded them into the phone (even only e-mails headers) then icon in upper right corner (that envelope with @ sign) doesn't want disappear. Only phone turn off then turn on is solution which is not so funny.Any ideas? Magic spells? Wake up developers! This bug? is very irritating.
I have a problem with my bb the home screen displays a 'new bbm notification' icon, but there is nothing. The red light for notification isn't flashing unless I receive another. And the icon is also displayed at the top of pages for other applications. I have rebooted twice already and it does not disappear. The icon really does frustrate me.
unless you go into the app store itself? It should show you when you have updates available without having to go in and check ourselves. Just like mail and messages.
Device info Carrier: AT&T Model Info: BlackBerry Bold 9700 OS Version: 5.0 Apps and Free Space Before Battery Pull: 123949768 Bytes After Battery Pull:124207796 Bytes A battery pull does not fix my issue. Issue My bold is constantly showing that I have new BlackBerry Messenger messages on my home screen. I have closed all my messages and it still will not go away. I've tried sending a message to every one of my contacts (very annoying) so I could individually close them (thinking perhaps something went wrong when I previously broadcasted a message). This issue started a week after I got my phone and the previous two BlackBerrys I had did the same thing. Over time the number will continue to increase (on my last phone I had 138 messages at one point). The icon still works when I actually receive new messages it will just increase the number. See if you look at the top of the screen you will see it shows I have 5 BBM messages, however I have no open conversations at all.
I own a Blackberry 9300 and recently I have had this weird looking icon in my notification area. It looks like some sort of sundial (the clock replacement we used when we did not have clocks) with a red star and 1 written before it. Tried every app, message, etc. etc. but to no avail. I would upload the picture (I have munched the screen using an app), were it not for my knowledge of how to upload pictures on.
I have the BB 8530. When I get a voicemail, a simple, white icon (a single line with a small circle at each end) appears in the top left of my screen, where the email & text notification icons also appear. In the past, once I check my voicemails, the icon goes away. But this time it has not. I have checked my voicemail several times and even erased all of my saved voice mails, but the icon will not go away! How can I get rid of it?
There is a strang icon on the notification panel that looks like a "ear with a trademark (T) symbol on the lower right side. I cannot find it in the user manual list of icons.
