There is a key icon beside the battery icon in the pull down notification tray and I don't know what that is and if it's something that I should just ignore or what. Some say it's VPN but some say it isn't.
My Notification is acting really wierd after i updated my phone today recently.
I am using this phone from past 1 year and i am so happy with my device that it works so perfectly which i can brag about and i love all the updates from sony and i do update on the very first day.
But today this so shocking first time after today's system update my Notification panel is behaving worst it just scrolls down no matter what i am doing. Even while typing this it just come scrolling down, but while doing other things it is very upsetting.
I had this problem previously and was waiting for Lollipop thinking it will get solved, but it looks like I might have a faulty proximity sensor. When I'm in a call, sometimes I hear the sound of pressing a button, and when I take the phone away from my ear to check what happened, I keep finding the Notification Panel open with different options activated / deactivated. Sometimes I find it directly in Settings, in Battery Usage, in Date/Time, I think it depends on which option is pressed in the Notification Panel.
I'm not sure if there is a defect in my update... but upon completion of update, I noticed that when I drag down the notification panel, immediately below the status bar before the notifications, the words "(No service)" is displayed. I do not remember 1.6 having that... but is it suppose to show my network name? I hope someone could enlighten me. It is irritating having those words there not knowing what it means.
My Verizon Lg G3 (VS98523C) just recently received the 5.0.1 update and I'm noticing that when I swipe down the notications panel, it's the same as before (I'd heard I would have to swipe down twice or with two fingers).
Also, my lockscreen is the same as before. Yes, I get the new style notifications but I'm also able to put widgets on it (I read that was gone). And, when there is a notification on my lockscreen, and I tap it to get to that info, I'm then asked to swipe the whole screen again.
I have the problem with the notification panel on my Htc One M8. When I scroll the notification panel to connect a mobile data, wifi, brightness or any other option I need to double tap the icon to turn it on. The same to turn it off. I try to turn off the phone but the problem still persist.
This is the first time I've used a Samsung phone in a while, and I've noticed that when I'm connected to WiFi I have a permanent notification saying, "WiFi Connected" in the notification panel. There's no way to dismiss it, and I can't seem to find a system setting to prevent the notification from appearing. Is this just how TouchWiz is, or am I missing a setting somewhere to turn it off?
I just had a quick question about the S5 when you put earphones in the earphone jack. The notification bar pops up with "earphones connected" and then when you swipe down, you see a section of quick apps you can select to use your headphones with. I primarily use my headphones with Google Play Music, which is not one of the option, and I have it automatically bring up the app with Automaker as it is. I was curious if there was a way to disable that bar of app options that comes up on the notification panel. I didn't have it on my Galaxy S3, and I would actually prefer if it wasn't there.
I would like to have weather information displayed in my notification panel, but I cannot find the setting/switch to turn it on.¬ On my friends' iPhone 5s and iPhone 5 devices, it displays as normal just below the date, and when one friend activated her newly purchased iPhone 5s, she was asked if she would like the information to be displayed..
On my Galaxy S6 everytime I get a new email there is an email icon just below the notification panel. is there any way to turn this off? I already recieve a sound, and a pop up of the email, and there is an indicator of new email on my email icon on the home screen, so I don't need yet another notification.
Same situation with text messages. I would just like to disable the notifications that appear below the notification panel.
I have several photos that I have sent via txt which have failed. I have gone back into the thread to try and delete the failed upload but they aren't there but the notifications have been on my screen for 3 months and I cant delete them!
What I did but when I swipe the status bar down nothing happens and if I hit the button on the left bottom side near the home button to close open tasks, it doesn't work either. I restarted the phone and shut it off for a few minutes, neither worked. What did I do and how do I fix it?
It's really annoying how my phone somehow can't view the notification panel where to turn off WiFi and Bluetooth on the lock screen. The Galaxy s4 and the Galaxy s6 and some other Galaxy s5 has it but why doesn't my phone have it? Because I have sprint? I can't scroll down from the top of the lock screen, nothing happens.

How I can't scroll down on the lock screen to see notification panel?
I just updated my galaxy s6 via OTA software update this early afternoon. I just realised that my mobile data icon/button in the notification panel suddenly disappeared after updating to the new software update.
Below are attached images of the screenshot of my firmware and notification panel.
I've got the phone z3+ dual e6533 recently, after I install CWM Helium, it configuration the MTP option to SDCARD, then how i can change that option after that. No matter in the storage setting or the usb connectivity setting, i can't find a hope.No USB icon and notification is shown, when i tell it to install software on computer, it change to MTP for that time with the notification, but no reaction when I tap the notification.
I just got the Z2 after struggling for a while with an ageing and annoying phone, and in general I'm pretty happy with it.   But I have a problem with gmail notifications, and it's hard to find info on this on the web because it just turns up a lot of stuff about the notification sounds, which is not my issue.   I have three gmail accounts, two private and one for work. With all my previous phones, when I had mail incoming, I'd get one notification icon in the status bar per account. So if I had unread mail in all three accounts, I'd three gmail icons in the notification bar.   The Z2 seems to lump them all together, and I only get one single icon regardless of how many accounts have unread email. I find this quite annoying and not something I expected at ALL. (Even my first very crummy internet-capable phone did multiple notifications.) Is this a bug, or is there a way to change a setting?
I am trying the pressure test with pressure sensor to test it's waterproofing or not.The value doesn't goes up when I press the panel and the value dropped by one when I release. Then when I hold the three holes at the bottom and press again, the value goes up by 5-6.It is normal the value doesn't raise if I didn't close the three holes?
i break my front touch panel accidently, means i couldn't un-lock my phone anymore. but, there has some very important data and file in the phone memory. is it possible or any ways to get those data/files out? i don't want to repair the front panel of this phone anymore.. (2nd time already.. ) i would get a new model.
I've got white color neo v and its around 3 months new mobile, I keep my mobile always in case but few days ago I realise that my mobile has lost color from the back panel and the color has gone to that silicon cover .. the part where the color has gone is the upper part of mobile which tends to get heat up while playing games.
