If I click Edit & look for it in the rest of the inactive icons it's not there either - I mean it's not even there for adding. I used to have it & use it every once in a while

It is important to notice that I didn't removed such icons, because IT IS IMPOSSIBLE. When you remove/insert icons on this panel, they auto arrange in this screen. So it is not possible to leave the screen with these "holes".
This happens when I switch users in the phone. The guest user does not have the same icons than the proprietary, so when I switch back, my icons are not restored. To workaround I have to edit this menu and move any icon, or restart the phone.
The drag down quick settings menu has disappeared from my Z3. Dragging down from the top with 2 fingers does not bring the menu down. Neither can I use the notifications at the top right to access the menu. However, I get to the sounds setting panel by using the volume button.
Tried this:Settings > personalization > Quick settings
but I do not see Quick Settings option.
I just updated my galaxy s6 via OTA software update this early afternoon. I just realised that my mobile data icon/button in the notification panel suddenly disappeared after updating to the new software update.

Here lately the quick setting toggle panel will randomly appear on my lock screen.(drop down settings in notification panel) The only way to get it to disappear is to hit the power button , then reactivate the lock screen again.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've just upgraded to the Galaxy S5 (I've defected from the 'other side'!) and updated the OS to Lollipop. There's apparently a new feature which allows you to access things like the flash light, wifi etc from the lock screen (Screen shot below). But I'm swiping down on the lock screen and nothings happening. Is this something that needs turning on in settings somewhere? I've been hunting round on the net and whiles there's plenty of articles covering the new feature, theres nothing on how to enable it.....if it needs enabling.

It will have lots of times when it doesn't register touch, like when I'm typing, scrolling, or when trying to pull down the quick settings/notification bar, it takes several tries. Also, when I set the phone flat it won't hardly register any touch at all.
I have tried the following to try and resolve it:
- complete factory reset
- changed launchers and keyboards
- making sure screen is clean/fingers aren't cold etc
- changing the long press settings for the phone
I'm on a Nexus 5 running Lollipop. Can't tell you exactly which version since my settings icon is gone! but it's either the latest one or one behind.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI have the 920F model and activated it with a UK sim a few months ago.. Have been using a US sim for the past 2 weeks, but today I went into an area with no service for a bit. Went back into an area with service and suddenly it says 'Not registered on network' when I go to make a call and 'No SIM card'.
I have gone into flight mode, cleaned and checked SIM (not a problem with the card), and then when I went to check the APN settings I noticed there was no way to get into my 'Mobile Network' settings! Its just gone!
Is it possible that it has reverted back to the European region lock and is awaiting a European SIM to be inserted before I can re-insert my US?
If it is a region lock, is there anyway to unlock it without using a European SIM as I no longer have mine and dont have quick access to one either.
I read about apps that allow tethering of other devices without the additional tethering plans... foxfi was one that was suggested... however, I don't think it is working on the S6. Any app that works?

If I try to go into the settings menu again the screen is blank, the options and exit buttons are at the buttom but the list of options is empty.I tried a hard reset and the same thing happens . After rooting my phone, the settings icon was gone. i didnt care for awhile but after i few days, i recently came across lag and was forced to unroot and reset my phone. thinking that would do the job and bring my settings back, sadly it didnt. View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I got my phone all the tethering stuff was in place as normal.. I tried it out on my mac and it worked great.. Then my phone crashed, got it running good to go now.. So the other night I needed internet, go into settings, turn ON tethering.. Open macbook, wait, nothing.. go back into settings on my iPhone and there is no longer anything left even related to tethering.. GONE!
So where did it go and how can I get it back is what I am wondering? 3.1.2j, telus network Canada, originally at&t.
Also, is there a way to force a carrier update? When I got one the first time it didnt show me the cellular data network settings, after the reset of the phone thats there and I had to enter in the information all manually for MMS, internet, etc.friggin problems.. nothing ever wants to work right.

View 1 Replies View RelatedUnder my Google account in settings my Calendar sync icon never goes away. I've noticed a drop in battery life lately and Google Play services has been topping my battery charts, I'm wondering if this has something to do with it. The icon does stop spinning but it never disappears like it does for all the other items. I found someone else who had the same problem and he said he deleted then recreated his google account and that fixed it. I tried that and now not only is the sync icon still stuck there for Calendar but now it's stuck there for Google Play Newstand as well.
