A microphone symbol appears in my notification panel at random and on its own. could this mean I have spywear on my phone? and how do I access the icon ?

View 3 Replies View RelatedThis is the first time I've used a Samsung phone in a while, and I've noticed that when I'm connected to WiFi I have a permanent notification saying, "WiFi Connected" in the notification panel. There's no way to dismiss it, and I can't seem to find a system setting to prevent the notification from appearing. Is this just how TouchWiz is, or am I missing a setting somewhere to turn it off?

The notification bar pops up with "earphones connected" and then when you swipe down, you see a section of quick apps you can select to use your headphones with. I primarily use my headphones with Google Play Music, which is not one of the option, and I have it automatically bring up the app with Automaker as it is. I was curious if there was a way to disable that bar of app options that comes up on the notification panel. I didn't have it on my Galaxy S3, and I would actually prefer if it wasn't there.

I already recieve a sound, and a pop up of the email, and there is an indicator of new email on my email icon on the home screen, so I don't need yet another notification.
Same situation with text messages. I would just like to disable the notifications that appear below the notification panel.
I have several photos that I have sent via txt which have failed. I have gone back into the thread to try and delete the failed upload but they aren't there but the notifications have been on my screen for 3 months and I cant delete them!

The Galaxy s4 and the Galaxy s6 and some other Galaxy s5 has it but why doesn't my phone have it? Because I have sprint? I can't scroll down from the top of the lock screen, nothing happens.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just updated my galaxy s6 via OTA software update this early afternoon. I just realised that my mobile data icon/button in the notification panel suddenly disappeared after updating to the new software update.

So I've had this phone short of a week, and I love it. For some reason today, my S6 will randomly blink a red LED notification, but when I unlock my phone, there are no new notifications.
My first 2 thoughts were low battery indicator or no service indicator, but neither is the reason.
If I click Edit & look for it in the rest of the inactive icons it's not there either - I mean it's not even there for adding. I used to have it & use it every once in a while

I mention I have closed all apps from multi tasking and it still did not disappear

My Verizon Lg G3 (VS98523C) just recently received the 5.0.1 update and I'm noticing that when I swipe down the notications panel, it's the same as before (I'd heard I would have to swipe down twice or with two fingers).
Also, my lockscreen is the same as before. Yes, I get the new style notifications but I'm also able to put widgets on it (I read that was gone). And, when there is a notification on my lockscreen, and I tap it to get to that info, I'm then asked to swipe the whole screen again.
Did I not get the full update?
My Notification is acting really wierd after i updated my phone today recently.
I am using this phone from past 1 year and i am so happy with my device that it works so perfectly which i can brag about and i love all the updates from sony and i do update on the very first day.
But today this so shocking first time after today's system update my Notification panel is behaving worst it just scrolls down no matter what i am doing. Even while typing this it just come scrolling down,but while doing other things it is very upsetting.
I even immediately restarted by nothing new.
I have the problem with the notification panel on my Htc One M8. When I scroll the notification panel to connect a mobile data, wifi, brightness or any other option I need to double tap the icon to turn it on. The same to turn it off. I try to turn off the phone but the problem still persist.

I would like to have weather information displayed in my notification panel, but I cannot find the setting/switch to turn it on. On my friends' iPhone 5s and iPhone 5 devices, it displays as normal just below the date, and when one friend activated her newly purchased iPhone 5s, she was asked if she would like the information to be displayed..

i somehow managed to deactivate the slide mechanism of the notification panel. is that a bug or can i reactivate it?
View 5 Replies View Relatedone of the things i like about the S5 is that I can tell at a glance at my home-screen that I have a certain number of unread emails, text messages, Facebook notifications, etc. that is not the case with voice-mails. As far as I can tell there is NO way to get a notification on the home screen via an icon that there is one or more voice-mails waiting for me to retrieve. As I generally keep my phone on vibrate or silent, this is a bit of an issue for me. Am I missing anything?
View 2 Replies View RelatedYesterday I updated to 5.1.1. I use handcent and now when I get a text message it shows the normal icon as it is coming through, but then it just goes to a star icon. If I pull down the menu, it shows the normal icon. After doing some research I found something that says it is interruption mode, but my phone does not have anything in settings or by pressing the volume button doesn't give those options either. How to remove the star icon? I have different icons set up for different people and I would like to be able to look at the notification bar to see who it is from without having to swipe down.

This is extremely annoying to me, can that be changed? I'd prefer to be able to tell those apart when glancing at notifications.
edit: using nova launcher atm but can't seem to find a setting to change this in nova or touchwiz.
I have no texts I haven't read yet the Textra icon remains visible on my notification bar. When I swipe down there's no actual notification even. I even uninstalled Textra and the icon is still there.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI had this problem previously and was waiting for Lollipop thinking it will get solved, but it looks like I might have a faulty proximity sensor. When I'm in a call, sometimes I hear the sound of pressing a button, and when I take the phone away from my ear to check what happened, I keep finding the Notification Panel open with different options activated / deactivated. Sometimes I find it directly in Settings, in Battery Usage, in Date/Time, I think it depends on which option is pressed in the Notification Panel.

I have auto-sync turned off for all Google apps.This happens even on WiFi. GPS, Bluetooth turned off as well. There's no missed call or unread text message. I have a feeling that it's related to voice/data signal loss. Is there any way to turn this off ? I have looked at all settings that I could think of.
