What I did but when I swipe the status bar down nothing happens and if I hit the button on the left bottom side near the home button to close open tasks, it doesn't work either. I restarted the phone and shut it off for a few minutes, neither worked. What did I do and how do I fix it?
View 8 RepliesThis is the first time I've used a Samsung phone in a while, and I've noticed that when I'm connected to WiFi I have a permanent notification saying, "WiFi Connected" in the notification panel. There's no way to dismiss it, and I can't seem to find a system setting to prevent the notification from appearing. Is this just how TouchWiz is, or am I missing a setting somewhere to turn it off?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just had a quick question about the S5 when you put earphones in the earphone jack. The notification bar pops up with "earphones connected" and then when you swipe down, you see a section of quick apps you can select to use your headphones with. I primarily use my headphones with Google Play Music, which is not one of the option, and I have it automatically bring up the app with Automaker as it is. I was curious if there was a way to disable that bar of app options that comes up on the notification panel. I didn't have it on my Galaxy S3, and I would actually prefer if it wasn't there.

I already recieve a sound, and a pop up of the email, and there is an indicator of new email on my email icon on the home screen, so I don't need yet another notification.
Same situation with text messages. I would just like to disable the notifications that appear below the notification panel.
I have several photos that I have sent via txt which have failed. I have gone back into the thread to try and delete the failed upload but they aren't there but the notifications have been on my screen for 3 months and I cant delete them!

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just updated my galaxy s6 via OTA software update this early afternoon. I just realised that my mobile data icon/button in the notification panel suddenly disappeared after updating to the new software update.

I have rooted, de-bloated, and installed an LED notification manager, which has made my phone nearly perfect. The only lagging issue is the overly busy Status/Notification bar and drop-down. Things I would like to change:
Status Bar
- remove AM/PM from the clock
- remove NFC icon when active
- change battery status to something that takes up less space, the default is icon AND percentage. I'd ideally love to use the Circle Battery Mod.
Drop Down
- remove the brightness slider
- remove the "s finder" and "quick connect" buttons.
This started to happen today. i have to swipe down form the top to see the clock and notification status bar. I can't find the setting to toggle this.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Verizon Lg G3 (VS98523C) just recently received the 5.0.1 update and I'm noticing that when I swipe down the notications panel, it's the same as before (I'd heard I would have to swipe down twice or with two fingers).
Also, my lockscreen is the same as before. Yes, I get the new style notifications but I'm also able to put widgets on it (I read that was gone). And, when there is a notification on my lockscreen, and I tap it to get to that info, I'm then asked to swipe the whole screen again.
Did I not get the full update?
My Notification is acting really wierd after i updated my phone today recently.
I am using this phone from past 1 year and i am so happy with my device that it works so perfectly which i can brag about and i love all the updates from sony and i do update on the very first day.
But today this so shocking first time after today's system update my Notification panel is behaving worst it just scrolls down no matter what i am doing. Even while typing this it just come scrolling down,but while doing other things it is very upsetting.
I even immediately restarted by nothing new.
There is a key icon beside the battery icon in the pull down notification tray and I don't know what that is and if it's something that I should just ignore or what. Some say it's VPN but some say it isn't.

I would like to have weather information displayed in my notification panel, but I cannot find the setting/switch to turn it on. On my friends' iPhone 5s and iPhone 5 devices, it displays as normal just below the date, and when one friend activated her newly purchased iPhone 5s, she was asked if she would like the information to be displayed..

I made a thread about this a while ago but I'm wondering if there's an app to solve this. On the nexus 4 you could make it so when you wake up the phone it requires no unlock but if you sleep it for (whatever you set the time for) it will then lock to the chosen security type.
Is there an app that can allow this to happen without having to just remove a lock feature which I'd rather not do? To simulate what i mean for some reason if you do a Google search bar search then then lock the phone and unlock it again you'll see it doesn't have you swipe for some reason.
i somehow managed to deactivate the slide mechanism of the notification panel. is that a bug or can i reactivate it?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI had this problem previously and was waiting for Lollipop thinking it will get solved, but it looks like I might have a faulty proximity sensor. When I'm in a call, sometimes I hear the sound of pressing a button, and when I take the phone away from my ear to check what happened, I keep finding the Notification Panel open with different options activated / deactivated. Sometimes I find it directly in Settings, in Battery Usage, in Date/Time, I think it depends on which option is pressed in the Notification Panel.
View 4 Replies View RelatedFor some reason ( I don't know what happened to it) my torch 9800 the scroll panel isn't working. The mouse still scrolls but it won't click on anything. Also the call, hang up, menu button and the back buttons aren't working either. The lights for them are burnt out as well. But there is no water damage I am aware of. (my warentee is out too). The touch screen still works too.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm not sure if there is a defect in my update... but upon completion of update, I noticed that when I drag down the notification panel, immediately below the status bar before the notifications, the words "(No service)" is displayed. I do not remember 1.6 having that... but is it suppose to show my network name? I hope someone could enlighten me. It is irritating having those words there not knowing what it means.

1. Is there any way to make the status/notification bar transparent on my HTC One?
I installed the apex launcher which allows me to hide the status bar entirely but I find that a bit annoying because I like to see the information on my notification bar at all times (i.e. time, connection). I just want the black strip to be transparent.
2. I just found out that there is an update to the software (4.3) and I'm currently on 4.1.2. If I install the update, will everything on my phone reset? Will I lose the layout of my icons with the apex launcher or Sense?
3. I've seen alot of people complain about 4.3 for various bugs. Do Androids receive fixes to such bugs quickly? My concern is that if I do update, I don't want to be on a buggy system for too long.
I've just had a small update to my Z3 and the status bar has reverted to a blue colour rather than the transparent that it usually is. Â It only occurs when using the Google Now Launcher, and is fine using the Xperia one..
