View 2 RepliesI've been having a problem these past few days, something strange is happening..
1) When i use google voice to set a reminder, for example "remind me in 2 hours to take out the laundry" it sets an alarm for that reminder instead of a notification
2) If i set the same reminder for a couple of days from now it sets it as an appointment in the calendar (it asks me which calendar app i want to use, which is new) instead of a reminder.
3) When i manually set a reminder it doesn't notify me
4) I cant seem to find where the setting is for the sound played for the reminder notification, which was somewhere in the past.
So I go into the android calendar to setup an appointment. The default reminder is a notification (just a popup on my phone). I have to click on the reminder each time and change it to Email. Is there a way I can change the default option to email instead?
View 8 Replies View RelatedAll reminders set on my Blackberry Torch 9800 would not provide a reminder (a pop up screen) nor would it vibrate (in normal and vibrate mode) or make a sound (in normal mode) when the time of reminder was set. For example: Time now it is 4:50pm and I set a reminder for 5pm with a reminder set for 5 min. On my previous BB9700 a reminder would be generated at 4:55 pm (a sound and/or vibrate depending on the mode and profile setting). On my current BB 9800, nothing would happen.

Yesterday during school, I had my iPhone 5s turned off, but it turned on by itself so that I could get a reminder notification. a friend of mine with an iphone told me that sometimes her iPhone turns on too if she gets allot of texts or something like that.  How to stop it? I don't want it turning on during school.

iPhone 5s, iOS 7.1.2
I have set numerous calendar message reminders and none of them sound at the required time. I have made sure all profiles are set to sound the alert.

Where do you go to find out if apps are compatible and working? I have wasted a ton of time today messing around today with these and getting no results.
When I turn on my Samsung Galaxy S5 a message comes up telling me to check the rear cover is sealed properly before use. I've checked it & it seems well sealed but the message still appears.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just bought my Samsung galaxy s6 edge 5 days ago it's been working fine up until today. When I received a text message it didn't make the sound so I thought my phone was on vibrate or silent but it wasn't so then I went to settings and checked my notification setting and when I clicked the sound it didn't make a sound. So then I checked if I could hear the ringtone and I also couldn't hear. Mind you the volume is all the way up. So I decided to restart my phone and the sound worked gain but after a while the sound went away again and idk what is causing it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been using the samsung calendar for a while now, and HAD a default set up with my desktop Google calendar for 3 different reminders on each so I dont forget, oversleep etc. anyhow It seems that when Google calendar STOPPED sending SMS messages earlier idk this month or last month I have NOT been able to set up more than ONE reminder even from a appt set from my phone, after the first reminder is set the green plus sing is no longer there to add more. I CAN go into older appt's and edit and the multiple reminders are still there and the green plus to add more is there and selectible. I am assuming it has something to do with the google calendar so what is up?
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy son played with my phone and added a daily google reminder which has totally ruined the google calendar I've been keeping. This reminder was created to repeat daily "forever." X_X
Is there a way for me to delete the daily reminder he created? I could manually mark them all as "done" but they still remain on my calendar. I could also disable reminders from showing up on my Google Calendar entirely, but I actually use the feature a great deal.
My Galaxy S5 phone is always on vibration mode. If I have a notification and I don't remove it, it keeps reminding me every few minutes (two quick vibrations, three and a half times in a row) and I would really like to make it stop.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have the Verizon S5 SM-G900V running 5.0, I use OK google to set up things like the days I work, Where I'm working, Who I'm working for, Dr. Appointments etc. Well when setting up these things using OK google voice command it automatically defaults to reminding only 15 minutes before the event. I need a full day notice so if someone asks me a day before hand if I'm available the next day I'll already know. Instead as it is right now if I forget I have Dr appointment it only gives 15 minutes notice and with my Dr being 45 min drive away this is just not sufficient. (MORE DETAIL) I am in fact using the google calendar on my phone and not the samsung calendar.
I have went to google calendar on my laptop clicked on the gear and went to calendar settings and changed that to default 1 day for both settings listed there and saved. I know this won't change past submissions but it didn't default to 1 day on new submissions on OK google. I even manually synced the calendar and tried again. The old phone I had (LG Exceed 2) allowed me to set a setting in the calendar settings to default events to remind 1 day in advance. But no matter where I go in the S5 (google settings, calendar settings, OK google settings) Or even web calendar settings I can't find a way to make it work?? This is a big nuisance for me to have to manually change it every time.
Sound notification is on. My text message sound and light are not working call sounds are. What do I do?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI use the default Calendar app on my S5 with several Gmail accounts, all which have default reminder settings. None of those accounts will use my default for calendar reminders, even after Syncing and rebooting. I've gone into my phone settings and searched for Notification, Reminder and Calendar and none of those settings have default reminders. I can only select to enable to disable these options.

I mention I have closed all apps from multi tasking and it still did not disappear
I would post a screenshot but the app crashes if do that.
I am having an issue with my S5 ever since I got it. Multiple times throughout the day, I hear a notification sound (like I have a text message) but there is no notification of any sort what so ever whenever I review my phone.
I did not have the issue on my GS4, and I pretty much have all the same apps installed.
I just spent the past hour setting up Nova/customizing just about all of my icons. I'm happy with the look and feel of Nova, but I noticed that my notification light isn't working for messages.only sms messages are being affected, as the light still comes on when charging/viewing the lockscreen/when Facebook messages come in.I'm currently using Textra as my default app; I tried switching back to LG's message app, but it didn't fix the issue.

Same for more calls and combination of calls + SMS.However, this behavious is only observed partially. Sometimes it works and sometimes it don't.

View 5 Replies View RelatedHow can I set a reminder in my calendar that shows a note on the front page of the phone what is being reminded? All I can get as a reminder is a sound and then I have to check the calendar to see what it has been set for. If I dont hear the reminder it is missed. Hope this makes sense, on my old phone a note comes up at the same time as the reminder sound and stays until removed.
