LG G4 :: Can Change Calendar Default Reminder From Notification To Email?
Oct 2, 2015
So I go into the android calendar to setup an appointment. The default reminder is a notification (just a popup on my phone). I have to click on the reminder each time and change it to Email. Is there a way I can change the default option to email instead?
When my calendar reminder pops up it gives me the option to end the reminder or snooze for a preiod of 5 mins. This is far too short so I went to Calendar, Options, General Options and under Actions set the Default Reminder to 15 min and saved the change. When a reminder pops up the snooze time is still 5 minutes despite the change I made. Very annoying! What can be done to set the reminder time to anything other than 5 mins ? Have I changed the wrong field, or is this a bug?
I have the Verizon S5 SM-G900V running 5.0, I use OK google to set up things like the days I work, Where I'm working, Who I'm working for, Dr. Appointments etc. Well when setting up these things using OK google voice command it automatically defaults to reminding only 15 minutes before the event. I need a full day notice so if someone asks me a day before hand if I'm available the next day I'll already know. Instead as it is right now if I forget I have Dr appointment it only gives 15 minutes notice and with my Dr being 45 min drive away this is just not sufficient. (MORE DETAIL) I am in fact using the google calendar on my phone and not the samsung calendar.
I have went to google calendar on my laptop clicked on the gear and went to calendar settings and changed that to default 1 day for both settings listed there and saved. I know this won't change past submissions but it didn't default to 1 day on new submissions on OK google. I even manually synced the calendar and tried again. The old phone I had (LG Exceed 2) allowed me to set a setting in the calendar settings to default events to remind 1 day in advance. But no matter where I go in the S5 (google settings, calendar settings, OK google settings) Or even web calendar settings I can't find a way to make it work?? This is a big nuisance for me to have to manually change it every time.
I have three email addresses in my blackberry, one appears as the default...does not allow selection of either of the other two. How can I change all my calendar events and the default to one of the other email addresses vs. the one that displays by default now?
I use the default Calendar app on my S5 with several Gmail accounts, all which have default reminder settings. None of those accounts will use my default for calendar reminders, even after Syncing and rebooting. I've gone into my phone settings and searched for Notification, Reminder and Calendar and none of those settings have default reminders. I can only select to enable to disable these options.
All reminders set on my Blackberry Torch 9800 would not provide a reminder (a pop up screen) nor would it vibrate (in normal and vibrate mode) or make a sound (in normal mode) when the time of reminder was set. For example: Time now it is 4:50pm and I set a reminder for 5pm with a reminder set for 5 min. On my previous BB9700 a reminder would be generated at 4:55 pm (a sound and/or vibrate depending on the mode and profile setting). On my current BB 9800, nothing would happen.
How I do I change what the "Default" notification sound is? I'm not trying to one-off change the apps, I just want to globally switch the sound all apps set to "Default" use.
I can't seem to Change the Default Notification Sound..
I'm using Stock Firmware out of the Box. Phone Details: Android Version: 2.3.3 HTC Sense 2.1 Baseband 20.281.30 Kernel Version 2.6.35.10-g2ee27f5 Build Number 1.48.707.1 Software Number 1.48.707.1
I have the Curve 8520 and I use the In The Know theme with the bottom sliding dock. I uninstalled Facebook from my BB but for some reason only calendar appointments that have the "sent with Facebook" at the top show up on my theme's calendar home area.
I want facebook completely GONE from my black berry but there's no calendar option that lets me get rid of the "Facebook calendar" or at least change it so when I make a new appointment it defaults to starting with my email instead of stupid facebook.
I noticed with the update to 4.4.3 when you change the default notification tone to none, hangout's notification then defaults to hangouts notification rather than no notification. I'm not sure if this effects all apps. On 4.4.2 it would just be silent. I had to add a silence notification to my sdcard internal memory to have a silent notification.
N900 calendar has one irritating default setup: alarming 15 minutes before event. How can I make this alarmingfunktion as non-alarming default (so that I dont need to remember everytime change this alarming off when making a new event) ?
I'm running os6 on my 9700 and the calendar won't let me change notification method for different appointments. At the very top of the appointment page, the field labled 'Send Using' i.e., Facebook, email. How do I change this?
When I receive a meeting invite via my Google mail client on my D3 it comes in formatted differently than my Google mail client on my laptop. I do not get the option to accept the meeting invite to my calendar, specifically Yes, No, Maybe. Is there anything I can do to get this functionality back in the mail client for the D3?
Second if I download the .ICS file that accompanies the meeting invite, and try to apply it to my calendar, it defaults to the phone's calendar rather than my Google calendar. Is there anyway to change this so that the Google calendar is always the default?
I have 2 email accounts but I predominantly use my Yahoo one. However, if I open my Yahoo emails on the Blackberry and select 'Compose email' it will automatically send my email from my 'Default email' which is my other email address. I can of course change the 'send from...' setting but I often forget which is annoying when the email has already gone. I have tried all ways to change the 'Default email' setting but I can't find out a way of doing this.
my calender is using the wrong email address when I send invites. and I don't seems to be able to change my default email mailbox after upgrading to belle.
I have several Email accounts, setup on my Torch 9800. When I first set them up, one of them was inadvertently set as the "default" account. Can anyone please tell me, how I might change which Email account works as the "default"?
So assume I would like to associate my phone with an entirely new email account. The prior gmail account I was using is beginning to be inundated with spam and it has got to go.After searching I've found this: go to home. Click grid. Click all apps. Click email. Enter a new email, pop etc. There is no option for anything of the sort and from that point the grid button doesn't do anything. This makes very little sense. Is my phone permanently associated with that gmail account? Can I drop it and add a new account or not?
Is there any way or apps to change the default font style/character of email? As we know default font style/character for email on Blackberry is Times New Roman 12.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 and I love it. My only problem is that my notification reminder is not working. I went to Accessibility and turned it on and still nothing.
I've been having a problem these past few days, something strange is happening..
1) When i use google voice to set a reminder, for example "remind me in 2 hours to take out the laundry" it sets an alarm for that reminder instead of a notification
2) If i set the same reminder for a couple of days from now it sets it as an appointment in the calendar (it asks me which calendar app i want to use, which is new) instead of a reminder.
3) When i manually set a reminder it doesn't notify me
4) I cant seem to find where the setting is for the sound played for the reminder notification, which was somewhere in the past.
Last night I upgraded my OS to the 6.0 Bundle 2921(v 6.0.0.666 platform 6.6.0.241) and all day I've had my reminders show up twice. I dismiss and it pops right back up again. It doesn't go any farther than the second time I press dismiss.
Yesterday during school, I had my iPhone 5s turned off, but it turned on by itself so that I could get a reminder notification. a friend of mine with an iphone told me that sometimes her iPhone turns on too if she gets allot of texts or something like that.  How to stop it? I don't want it turning on during school.
With Calendar, when creating an event, it is possible to customise the time of the alarm. I like to have them all at 6am when I wake up, and that's easy done if I have my computer. But when creating an event fron the iPhone, you only have a few choices of time for an alarm, such as "1hour before the event" or "the day before", that doesn't really suit me.
My fone is not jailbroken & most of you've toldme that unless some programer fellas crack the new 3.1.3fw im outta luck so how can I change the email & txt notification sounds on my 3gs 3.1.3FW.
On main page in Active Standby, it shows all To-Dos as pending including those from future as well, like it will say 10 pending tasks while actually 2 are pending while 8 are still from some future date. This was not an issue with my earlier 6120.
To-Do alarm rings only once. Any time I miss a To-Do alarm there is no way that it reminds me again that I missed it until I check my Calender. There should be something like repeatedly ringing every 5 minutes till we respond.
