Jun 9, 2011I have set numerous calendar message reminders and none of them sound at the required time. I have made sure all profiles are set to sound the alert.

BB Torch :: 9800 Calendar - No Notification Alert For Reminder
May 4, 2012All reminders set on my Blackberry Torch 9800 would not provide a reminder (a pop up screen) nor would it vibrate (in normal and vibrate mode) or make a sound (in normal mode) when the time of reminder was set. For example: Time now it is 4:50pm and I set a reminder for 5pm with a reminder set for 5 min. On my previous BB9700 a reminder would be generated at 4:55 pm (a sound and/or vibrate depending on the mode and profile setting). On my current BB 9800, nothing would happen.

Aug 25, 2010I have bought a Torch, but cannot get it to set up in the Organizer configuration to sync with my Calendar in MS Office XP- Outlook. My computer runs Windows XP. The contacts and memo will configure (although) they are posting to an archive folder and when I try to change that I get Error 0x80043bea), but the Calendar and Tasks will go through the set-up process, but when you finish it, the checkmark on those 2 Outlook folder disappears before you can even select the advance settings.I have re-set the configuration on the Desktop software a couple of times, to no avail, and uninstalled the Desktop 6.0 software and reinstalled it. None of these measures have changed the problem.Any suggestions?

1)my calendar is not syncing (birthday's calendar is syncing but not the main calendar even I set him to be synced via google sync..)
2)i entered setup once installed the app but i am not able to get there again - the it makes simply nothing when I am trying to get to the setup in google sync app

Aug 25, 2010I got a new torch and I'm totally loving it but I wonder why I dont see my birthday appointments in the calendar? I've synced only the adress book from my old bold 9000 birthdays are still listed in the contacts but they do not appear in my calendar. If I add a new birthday to a contact it does appear. Can somebody help me?

Aug 9, 2011my bb was working ok and was syncing ok with my Outlook calender. The bb calender was synced to one of my five email accounts (mail@tw). I started to get issues with it so I followed advice and deleted the other calender cical things except for facebook. Since then the bb has added a default calender to mirror the mail@tw calender....so I have duplicate entries for everything and I don't know what to do.....

Aug 21, 2010Numerous problems with the way the calendar app saves old appointments. I've got a BB Torch 9800 running version 6.0 bundle 695 interfaced with a Mac. When I try to set the options for the calendar to keep appointments forever, it keeps reverting back to saving them for 60 days deleting the older appointments. It is not saving my options correctly. I've tried a battery reset, but no change. Does anyone have some insight into this?

But when creating an event fron the iPhone, you only have a few choices of time for an alarm, such as "1hour before the event" or "the day before", that doesn't really suit me.

Apr 29, 2010I purchased the Torch last week. I use it for work. Due to firewall issues I had to have my IT department download the Desktop Software for me so that I could sync everything. I am on the personal plan not the Enterprise, although I still can receive emails for work.
When I did the Configure Settings to set up the syncing it let me do the Calendar and then the Address book. Yet when I got ready to run the sync the Calendar says "not installed". I was able to sync the contacts with my Outlook, but for some reason can't get the Calendar to work. I really need to have my calendar sync'd.I'm on AT&T and have had the Bold 9000 previously. I never had any problems with the Desktop Software until now.

Oct 29, 2012I can't stop sync deleting past calendar entries. Using torch 9800 and OS6 2949 with outlook 2007. I tried configuring for hours but syncing still comes up trying to delete entries more than few months old, which I want to keep. I tried 'upcoming entries only' (then it wants to delete over 1000 entries!!) and can't get the 'advanced' filters option to make any difference.

Jul 1, 2010On main page in Active Standby, it shows all To-Dos as pending including those from future as well, like it will say 10 pending tasks while actually 2 are pending while 8 are still from some future date. This was not an issue with my earlier 6120.
To-Do alarm rings only once. Any time I miss a To-Do alarm there is no way that it reminds me again that I missed it until I check my Calender. There should be something like repeatedly ringing every 5 minutes till we respond.

I CAN go into older appt's and edit and the multiple reminders are still there and the green plus to add more is there and selectible. Dec 11, 2015I have the Verizon S5 SM-G900V running 5.0, I use OK google to set up things like the days I work, Where I'm working, Who I'm working for, Dr. Appointments etc. Well when setting up these things using OK google voice command it automatically defaults to reminding only 15 minutes before the event. I need a full day notice so if someone asks me a day before hand if I'm available the next day I'll already know. Instead as it is right now if I forget I have Dr appointment it only gives 15 minutes notice and with my Dr being 45 min drive away this is just not sufficient. (MORE DETAIL) I am in fact using the google calendar on my phone and not the samsung calendar.
I have went to google calendar on my laptop clicked on the gear and went to calendar settings and changed that to default 1 day for both settings listed there and saved. I know this won't change past submissions but it didn't default to 1 day on new submissions on OK google. I even manually synced the calendar and tried again. The old phone I had (LG Exceed 2) allowed me to set a setting in the calendar settings to default events to remind 1 day in advance. But no matter where I go in the S5 (google settings,calendar settings, OK google settings) Or even web calendar settings I can't find a way to make it work?? This is a big nuisance for me to have to manually change it every time.

Jul 1, 2010When my calendar reminder pops up it gives me the option to end the reminder or snooze for a preiod of 5 mins. This is far too short so I went to Calendar, Options, General Options and under Actions set the Default Reminder to 15 min and saved the change.When a reminder pops up the snooze time is still 5 minutes despite the change I made. Very annoying!What can be done to set the reminder time to anything other than 5 mins ? Have I changed the wrong field, or is this a bug?

BB Desktop Software :: Lotus Notes Calendar One-way Sync Reminder / Alarm
May 17, 2010I haven't found a proper answer to this so posting here. Hopefully I will get a quick answer from some of the experts here.
BB Desktop Manager version: 5.0.1.37
Device: Curve 8900 4.6.1
Lotus notes version: 8.0.2
I use BIS with tmobile and have my gmail emails delivered to my device.I am doing a lotus notes one-way calendar sync with my BB calendar. I am able to do this successfully. But the alarm & free/busy thing does not sync.Even though I have alarm set in my notes which works perfectly and I see the notification 15 mins before the meeting on my PC. They don't show up in BB calendar. In BB Desktop Manager-> map fields, the notes 'notify me' is mapped to 'device alarm flag' but when I open the details of an entry that BDM is going to make in the accept/reject screen these fields are empty. I am using the default field mapping in the desktop manager.
All reminder works for the entries that I create directly in BB. The device calendar reminder is set properly. No issues there.What should I change in the desktop manager so that I get a reminder in my BB for the lotus notes entry?
Galaxy S5 :: Default Reminder Notifications Not Setup On Google Calendar On Phone Active?
Jun 10, 2015I use the default Calendar app on my S5 with several Gmail accounts, all which have default reminder settings. None of those accounts will use my default for calendar reminders, even after Syncing and rebooting. I've gone into my phone settings and searched for Notification, Reminder and Calendar and none of those settings have default reminders. I can only select to enable to disable these options.
