I'm running version 6.0 Bundle 2647(v6.0.0.600, platform 6.6.0.223)what I'm missing on my torch are the calendar weeks? I did not ifnda setting to enable it. I synch with Outlook where I have the calendar week enabled, I used windowns mobile 6.5 befroe and liked the caledar weeks. As calendar weeks are an important information in my daily business discussions.
View 9 RepliesJust wanted to share this, I'm due my upgrade and the retentions advisor on the phone told me that they Bold 9700 would no longer be available on o2 in the UK and o2 would be offering the new Blackberry Torch in 3 to 4 weeks time. This was direct from their retentions department over the phone about an hour ago.

I just bought a Blackberry Torch. I found that I cannot read Chinese character on torch, let alone input Chinese. It just display some black bulks instead of Chinese.
Somebody told me I have to wait for new OS versions which might includes languages like Chinese.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have bought a Torch, but cannot get it to set up in the Organizer configuration to sync with my Calendar in MS Office XP- Outlook. My computer runs Windows XP. The contacts and memo will configure (although) they are posting to an archive folder and when I try to change that I get Error 0x80043bea), but the Calendar and Tasks will go through the set-up process, but when you finish it, the checkmark on those 2 Outlook folder disappears before you can even select the advance settings.I have re-set the configuration on the Desktop software a couple of times, to no avail, and uninstalled the Desktop 6.0 software and reinstalled it. None of these measures have changed the problem.Any suggestions?

Even if I have the screen lock on or the phone completely locked, the home screen keeps popping up. When I attempt the screen lock alone, within a minute the screen turns on and unlocks automatically without touching the phone. It's killing the battery.

I started to get issues with it so I followed advice and deleted the other calender cical things except for facebook. View 1 Replies View RelatedAll reminders set on my Blackberry Torch 9800 would not provide a reminder (a pop up screen) nor would it vibrate (in normal and vibrate mode) or make a sound (in normal mode) when the time of reminder was set. For example: Time now it is 4:50pm and I set a reminder for 5pm with a reminder set for 5 min. On my previous BB9700 a reminder would be generated at 4:55 pm (a sound and/or vibrate depending on the mode and profile setting). On my current BB 9800, nothing would happen.

Does anyone know how to clear or erase my calendar events from the notification bar? I did some research it is says under Options-Display there should be a option for External Notification. BUT my phone does not have that option.

When I try to set the options for the calendar to keep appointments forever, it keeps reverting back to saving them for 60 days deleting the older appointments. It is not saving my options correctly. I've tried a battery reset, but no change. Does anyone have some insight into this?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI purchased the Torch last week. I use it for work. Due to firewall issues I had to have my IT department download the Desktop Software for me so that I could sync everything. I am on the personal plan not the Enterprise, although I still can receive emails for work.
When I did the Configure Settings to set up the syncing it let me do the Calendar and then the Address book. Yet when I got ready to run the sync the Calendar says "not installed". I was able to sync the contacts with my Outlook, but for some reason can't get the Calendar to work. I really need to have my calendar sync'd.I'm on AT&T and have had the Bold 9000 previously. I never had any problems with the Desktop Software until now.
I can't stop sync deleting past calendar entries. Using torch 9800 and OS6 2949 with outlook 2007. I tried configuring for hours but syncing still comes up trying to delete entries more than few months old, which I want to keep. I tried 'upcoming entries only' (then it wants to delete over 1000 entries!!) and can't get the 'advanced' filters option to make any difference.

I am thinking the safest way to not have a problem is the just restore my 9800 data from a back up rather than do the Switch Device thing. Anyone worried it might bring erroneous crap into the new 6.0 OS.
Maybe it would be better to redo my settings after the data install to make sure all is clean and working correctly. Some of the 5.0 setting would not be applicable to the new 6.0 software.
