I got a new torch and I'm totally loving it but I wonder why I dont see my birthday appointments in the calendar? I've synced only the adress book from my old bold 9000 birthdays are still listed in the contacts but they do not appear in my calendar. If I add a new birthday to a contact it does appear. Can somebody help me?

Last night I synced my Contacts between my iPhone and Mobile with my Mac (which had a blank address book).
I was sure I had selected to Replace The Data on the Mac, but what happened was that all my contacts got erased on the iPhone and MobileMe.
I was able to put them back together fairly quickly, but I now gave two birthday calanders on my iPhone. Everybody's name is shown twice on their birthday.
I only want to the built in bithday calander that use the data in the Contacts App.
How do I get calender - birthdays from facebook off my phone where your text and messages are. When I have a text or message and I bring it up to look at it there's a list of peoples birthday's from facebook and the heading is calenders. I went to facebook setup and unchecked calender birthdays but they still show on my phone does anyone else have that and how do you get it off of it.

I have bought a Torch, but cannot get it to set up in the Organizer configuration to sync with my Calendar in MS Office XP- Outlook. My computer runs Windows XP. The contacts and memo will configure (although) they are posting to an archive folder and when I try to change that I get Error 0x80043bea), but the Calendar and Tasks will go through the set-up process, but when you finish it, the checkmark on those 2 Outlook folder disappears before you can even select the advance settings.I have re-set the configuration on the Desktop software a couple of times, to no avail, and uninstalled the Desktop 6.0 software and reinstalled it. None of these measures have changed the problem.Any suggestions?

1)my calendar is not syncing (birthday's calendar is syncing but not the main calendar even I set him to be synced via google sync..)
2)i entered setup once installed the app but i am not able to get there again - the it makes simply nothing when I am trying to get to the setup in google sync app

View 2 Replies View RelatedI live in Canada and when I cross oever to the United States i need to shut down my provider in order not to pay fees for roaming I`ve done this often in the past without any problems until yesterday.ver since i turned it back on, the hourglass icon pops up every few seconds which is extremely annoying My BB is only 18 months old but must say I seriously think i have a lemon. I started to get issues with it so I followed advice and deleted the other calender cical things except for facebook. Since then the bb has added a default calender to mirror the mail@tw calender....so I have duplicate entries for everything and I don't know what to do.....

When I want to synch Outlook, Desktop shows Calendar as "not installed".I click on it and configure it and it shows up with a check mark.Then when I get out of that screen it goes back to "not installed"
View 5 Replies View RelatedAfter only a couple of days with my torch and not having modified it all, all of a sudden when I click on the TEXT message icon, it just shows my regular inbox. It used to show only SMS messages and was really cool. Now it shows emails and all! I dont see anywhere to change this back to the original behavior. I did a hard reset with no luck. So far I love my phone even with the minor annoyances like it hangs for a few seconds after unlocking it everytime, fine I can live with that. But I really want to fix this text message thing

I tried charging but even then its not showing any charging symbol nor its its turning on, And I tried a new battery then it got on but after 2min its getting restart repeatedly even then its not charging if I plug it to charger, but I tried my old battery in another torch its charging properly. I took it to bb authorised service center they told me its mother board fault, but I can't believe it bcoz its just 6months old.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAll reminders set on my Blackberry Torch 9800 would not provide a reminder (a pop up screen) nor would it vibrate (in normal and vibrate mode) or make a sound (in normal mode) when the time of reminder was set. For example: Time now it is 4:50pm and I set a reminder for 5pm with a reminder set for 5 min. On my previous BB9700 a reminder would be generated at 4:55 pm (a sound and/or vibrate depending on the mode and profile setting). On my current BB 9800, nothing would happen.

how do I delete the calendar birthday reminders coming up on my phone. I know this is connected to facebook but I do not keep the facebook app turned on all the time on my phone. I have tried goin into the specific date on someones birthday and deleting it but it still comes up on m phone.

I am quite disappointed to see than in a new mobile like Vivaz Pro there is this function not integrated. I hope a lot of people would like this function back too. And SE would implement this in a new firmware upgrade.
