BB Torch :: 9800 - How To Stop Sync Deleting Past Calendar Entries
Oct 29, 2012
I can't stop sync deleting past calendar entries. Using torch 9800 and OS6 2949 with outlook 2007. I tried configuring for hours but syncing still comes up trying to delete entries more than few months old, which I want to keep. I tried 'upcoming entries only' (then it wants to delete over 1000 entries!!) and can't get the 'advanced' filters option to make any difference.
I am new to Blackberry desktop manager for mac. It is all set up and first sync is done without a problem. Now when I try to sync, I get a message that over 600 of my past calendar items will be deleted if I continue with sync. I need to keep previous calendar items, is there a way to solve this problem and not delete past events? I am sorry for asking this question, I am just new and very unsure of what I am doing. I had used missing sync before, but when my blackberry had to be replaced, new blackberry wouldn't work so I wanted to try desktop manager.
I thought the new OS 6 would resolve the problem. I have the device set to save forever, and it is erasing everything older than 60 days on my desktop.
My last phone was a Curve and I sync'ed my calendar with Google Calendar - not a good idea. I soon discovered that my entries were being deleted (even though they were tagged to stay in the calendar Forever).About a year ago I shifted to the Bold 9790.A good phone, everything is fine, EXCEPT, my calendar entries are still being deleted. Is there any solution for this?I use my calendar religiously to store appointments and am finding my history being deleted. Only the re-curring calendar entries seem to survive this techno-cull.
The calendar entries are disappearing. I have Keep Forever checked. I generally have between 12-20 MB free app space; right now it's at 19. None of my tasks, emails or SMS/MMS are disappearing, only my calendar entries from previous months.
I use the Storm's calendar as my client scheduling tool -- I NEED to know when I last saw clients for my quarterly and year end reports. I use Nice Office as a CRM and backup -- but when I asked them, they looked into the sync and said the delete was coming from the BB itself, not from them. I do not use Outlook, as I don't run on Windows.
After a few days my iphone 4s calendar deletes all my current, past and future events . I am not syncing with my computer or doing anything except entering information directly on the calendar using my phone. Now I have lost all doctor appointments, work schedule etc. Does anyone know why this is happening or how I can prevent it? I can't find the answer doing a google search.
Whenever I go to my notification bar to check a Facebook or text message the entire screen is full of annoying birthday notifications. I have checked/unchecked everything but they constantly appear. How can I keep the calendar from posting notifications?
After the last software update I reset my sync with desktop configurations. The calendar fails to reset despite numerous tried and I desperately NEED my calendar to sync and everything else syncs BUT the calendar. what else can I try?
I purchased the Torch last week. I use it for work. Due to firewall issues I had to have my IT department download the Desktop Software for me so that I could sync everything. I am on the personal plan not the Enterprise, although I still can receive emails for work.
When I did the Configure Settings to set up the syncing it let me do the Calendar and then the Address book. Yet when I got ready to run the sync the Calendar says "not installed". I was able to sync the contacts with my Outlook, but for some reason can't get the Calendar to work. I really need to have my calendar sync'd.I'm on AT&T and have had the Bold 9000 previously. I never had any problems with the Desktop Software until now.
Since I downloaded the latest version of the Blackberry Desktop Software, I lose 100's of calendar entries from several years ago each time I sync with MS Outlook 2007. Can't figure out where the settings are to specify date ranges.
I have one calendar that was installed on the Blackberry when purchased. I uploaded an update of the Facebook App, now all of my entries are gone in the calendar that were in sync with my gmail address. I have the 8350 model and prior to this all calendar entries were saved to my email for gmail- this gmail option has disappeared in the CICAL drop down the only option available is Facebook. I tried to uninstall the Facebook App however that leaves no option for Default Service for the calendar, so the option for default service for my calendar is completely removed. How can I go back to the original settings for my calendar and is it possible to retrieve prior/future entries from the now blank calendar?
I synced my iPhone and it seems that all the calendar entries I had were simply replaced by the iCal entries off my Macbook. This means that I lost all the entries that had been on the phone. Is there any way to get them back?
My calendar entries before August have disappeared on my phone. They are still on my laptop calendar but they won't sync with my phone even when I connect the phone to the laptop. Is there a way to get them back on my phone?
I am running Windows XP SP3 with Outlook 2003. When the syncronisation between my phone (6303ci) runs OVI 2.2.0.241 sometimes hangs whilst preparing for calendar sync. After restarting the the PC entries within the Outlook calendar have lost the text within the entry. i.e. the entry itself still exists but any emailed notes within the file, attached files or links disappear in Outlook. This is very frustrating as meeting agenda and other notes are missing.
I need to transfer all the Contact and Calendar entries from a Torch onto my Pearl. How do I do it as the copy facility on the desktop software seems to try to transfer everything.
Why does my Blackberry have multiple calendar entries based upon my different associated email accounts? I use MS Outlook for my calendar and I only have a single entry, so why the multiple entries? Also why do I have to choose which account to attach the calendar entry to?
I would like to delete completely my address book from phone in order to reload fresh from my computer outlook. I have about 750 contacts and it will take a while to do it one by one. The reason of doing it is a lot of duplicates. I cleaned my outlook and now I want to load it on my Black Berry.
Wondering how do you select multiple messages so you can delete them in one operation? I know how to delete prior but that's what I want to do. So easy on my old bold.
