I thought the new OS 6 would resolve the problem. I have the device set to save forever, and it is erasing everything older than 60 days on my desktop.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI can't stop sync deleting past calendar entries. Using torch 9800 and OS6 2949 with outlook 2007. I tried configuring for hours but syncing still comes up trying to delete entries more than few months old, which I want to keep. I tried 'upcoming entries only' (then it wants to delete over 1000 entries!!) and can't get the 'advanced' filters option to make any difference.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWith my wife, we got 2 BB Curve 8520 and we're now trying to sync both of them with our Outlook 2003 SP3 on XP SP3. Both do the same thing:
1/ First sync goes well, the BB calendar gets filled up,
2/ Everything syncs well during a few days,
3/ One day, the sync tells us it will delete 3000+ elements on Outlook, of course I click Reject and cancel the sync,
4/ I restart OK by synching one-dir from Outlook tp BB,
5/ A few days after, it returns to step 3 and is behaving bad again.
I can't get any durable solution, the only thing I got is a workaround that lasts only a few days.
Our BB version (mine/my wife's) :
- Platform : 4.2.0.118 / 4.2.0.135
- Application : 4.6.1.274 / 4.6.1.314
When I do a backup with Desktop, it truncates all calendar items older than 60 days even though I have selected the "keep them forever" option. I need at least one year because all the anniversaries and birthdays I enter will disappear every 60 days.

The only app i have installed is Facebook and I have over 300 MB of application space and multiple GBs of data storage space. I only have this problem with text messages too, emails older than 30 days are still on my phone. What's going on?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am running Windows XP SP3 with Outlook 2003. When the syncronisation between my phone (6303ci) runs OVI 2.2.0.241 sometimes hangs whilst preparing for calendar sync. After restarting the the PC entries within the Outlook calendar have lost the text within the entry. i.e. the entry itself still exists but any emailed notes within the file, attached files or links disappear in Outlook. This is very frustrating as meeting agenda and other notes are missing.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI haven't seen anything on thins about the Torch so here goes.I work for a law firm where the attorneys are allowed to purchase their own smartphone, as long as it is a Black Berry or an iPhone (3GS or higher). A few of the main partners rushed out to get the Torch yesterday and the bright people at AT&T restored their old device's data to the Torch.
My problem is while I'm in the process of attempting to back up one of the new Torch devices so I can save the 800 photos that were transferred from an iPhone, the PC doesn't see the Torch. It charges over USB, but the latest DM does not see it at all. Windows does not pop up the found new hardware balloon. Has anyone had this experience so far? I've tried two different Torch devices and on 3 different PCs.
The problem I am having is I cannot hear the caller. The caller can hear me. I have to either use an ear piece and microphone or put the phone on speaker. I have had this phone for almost two years. This is a recent problem. I have removed the battery for a full ten minutes and reinstalled. I have performed the update and have the latest versions: Desktop software version 7.1.0.32 release date July 11, 2012 bundle 33. Phone software is 6.0, Bundle 695.
View 6 Replies View RelatedHas anyone successfully tethered their Torch 9800 thru Desktop Manager 6? When I connect my phone to my computer and run DM6 I no longer see the option to tether on the bottom left corner of the applications window. I previously had a Curve 8900 and tethered with no problems thru DM6 running on Windows 7. (I'm with T-Mobile and have the unlimited data plan) I just got the Torch, unlocked it and everything is working properly on T-Mobile's network, however as I mentioned when I connect the Torch to the Desktop Manager I don't see any option to tether as I previously did with the Curve 8900. I've look at the Technical Specs provided by RIM at blackberry.com and Tethered Modem is listed as a supported Feature. I've been searching these forums and haven't found any info. Does anyone else have this problem, or am I the only one who does not have this option available on DM6. For what it's worth, I also connected a Torch 9800 running on AT&T network with a 2GB data plan and still do not see this option. However if I connect my old Curve 8900 to DM6 I see the option to tether immediately upon connecting the device on the bottom left corner of the DM6's window.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI just bought a Torch 9800 using the latest desktop and OS 6.I loaded on Documents to Go which works fine on the BB, but it won't let me synch the desktop to the BB.It gives me this message:Your Blackberry device appears to be connected with Mass Storage Mode Enabled. Documents to Go Desktop is unable to pair or sync with devices connected this way. Please disconnect & reconnect your device with Mass Storage Mode disabled. Does anyone know how to do this with Device software version 6.0.0.141?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have bought a Torch, but cannot get it to set up in the Organizer configuration to sync with my Calendar in MS Office XP- Outlook. My computer runs Windows XP. The contacts and memo will configure (although) they are posting to an archive folder and when I try to change that I get Error 0x80043bea), but the Calendar and Tasks will go through the set-up process, but when you finish it, the checkmark on those 2 Outlook folder disappears before you can even select the advance settings.I have re-set the configuration on the Desktop software a couple of times, to no avail, and uninstalled the Desktop 6.0 software and reinstalled it. None of these measures have changed the problem.Any suggestions?

I started to get issues with it so I followed advice and deleted the other calender cical things except for facebook. Since then the bb has added a default calender to mirror the mail@tw calender....so I have duplicate entries for everything and I don't know what to do.....
