And there's no option that AT&T or myself can find to disable this. How do I tell this piece of **bleep** phone to never delete my text messages? The only app i have installed is Facebook and I have over 300 MB of application space and multiple GBs of data storage space. I only have this problem with text messages too, emails older than 30 days are still on my phone. What's going on?
View 4 RepliesWhen I do a backup with Desktop, it truncates all calendar items older than 60 days even though I have selected the "keep them forever" option. I need at least one year because all the anniversaries and birthdays I enter will disappear every 60 days.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy Blackberry torch automatically deletes saved text messages. When I go to my saved messages folder most or all of them will be gone. I've noticed that when it begins to delete old messages it turns them green so I can not read them again and old messages that I have saved also turn green and are automatically deleted. This is a highly disappointing weakness of the torch and as I am new to Blackberry I thought saving text messages would be an easy and basic task to do. I have never had this problem with any other make of phone. Other than this problem I have only had a few glitches and like the phone but I would not recommend it.

When I click on it it says: Uncaught exception:Java.lang.indexoutofbounds exception.I called att&t, they told me I need to update the OS, I tried to from my device, it takes forever saying preparing to download then I get a message saying Update cannot continue. Update ising blackberry desktop manager on your computer.Version says 6.0 bundle 2342, which I dont see any mention of this anywhere on the web.I tried using Wi-fi only, then att&t network only, then both, it still will not download. View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Torch 9800. Ever since I got it, I've noticed that, occasionally, messages will not show up in my inbox. My phone will buzz when I receive them, and I'll have the "new messages" icon on the homescreen, but clicking the messages icon brings me to an empty inbox.
I've noticed this behavior impacting email (my gmail account is the only one I have going to the blackberry), text messages, and two different third-party chat clients.
I don't have any messages being filtered to different folders or anything like that. Clicking "View Folder" verifies that my inbox is selected.
But here's where it gets weird: if I compose a new email and send it, when I return to the inbox, all the messages appear. It's almost as if the inbox is having a problem displaying the message list, but once I force a new item to display (the newly sent message), it shocks it back to life.

Issue: BBM Messages are not being delivered or received.I can type out the messages and send, but they are not delivered and I am not receiving any bbm messages. I can send the same message 10-15 times and one may be delivered.Text messages work, and my browser is working, both on data and wireless. Was working fine last night, the issue started today. Have performed both soft and hard reboots, no change.
My Torch had a previous owner and their signature is still popping up in txts etc. (Even though I am using it on T-mobile and they weren't) How do I go about editing the signature and where do I find this option?

I find that disappointing and hard to belive. I used the bold 9700, before I bought the new torch, it allowed me to send out a group text to over thirty people with no problem.
