When I do a backup with Desktop, it truncates all calendar items older than 60 days even though I have selected the "keep them forever" option. I need at least one year because all the anniversaries and birthdays I enter will disappear every 60 days.

The only app i have installed is Facebook and I have over 300 MB of application space and multiple GBs of data storage space. I only have this problem with text messages too, emails older than 30 days are still on my phone. What's going on?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI successfully upgraded to DM6 recently. Frankly I use DM only to sync contacts, because I need to sync three Outlook contact folders, and the wireless sync will sync no more than one contact folder.
After the first sync, for some of my contacts, their photo had disappeared - but only in Outlook, they're still there in the handheld's address book.I've tried to deduct why some photos get deleted and most not, but can't see any logic. Apparently the handheld reports (falsely) that there is no picture for that contact, causing Outlook to delete it. I am afraid that the next sync will make those photos disappear from the handheld, too.
I've searched on a number of forums but didn't find anything on this bug. I hope someone can help me out to fix this. Of course I do have backups of the contact folders, but I need to make sure that after laboriously repairing the affected contacts, the photos will not disappear again at sync.Dell Precision 380 running Win7 with Outlook 2k7 connected to Exchange 2k7 and a BES. The handheld is a Bold 9700 with firmware v5.0.0.545. The DM syncs over USB.
I thought the new OS 6 would resolve the problem. I have the device set to save forever, and it is erasing everything older than 60 days on my desktop.

Now, the sync routine within the Blackberry Desktop application just skips calendar sync completely, nothing in the log file, just gives a little beep. Tasks, contacts, memo all sync fine. I have updated all device SW (5.0.0) and desktop versions. I have done hard resets, combined all calendars to one, etc.

One of the first things I did was to get my Treo calendar into Outlook, then get the BB to sync to Outlook. Everything was working fine.
Then I added an email account @vzw.blackberry.net. A few days later when I tried to sync to Outlook, a whole bunch of my calendar appointments get deleted from Outlook. Even when I set up syncing to replace all data in Outlook, I ended up with appointments in my BB that weren't in Outlook. When I looked at the appointment details, the top line had a "Synchronize to" entry. The appointments that got backed up specified Synchronize to Default, the ones that didn't get backed up said Synchronize to vzw.blackberry.net. If there was a way to change the "Synchronize to" target, I didn't find it.
So I deleted the email account from my BB. I synchronized again, and everything worked fine. The appointment details no longer displayed a "Synchronize to" entry.
Using Outlook as POP but have been syncing calendar to blackberry 8830 device for some time now with no issues. Yesterday all Outlook calendar entries disappeared but entries are still on the blackberry. Reset synchronization and seems to update Outlook with any new ones and also update blackberry with any new calendar entries made in Outlook but none of original entries that are on BB will go to Outlook. Is there a way to export from the BB and import into Outlook. We have tried multiple things like one-way sync, device wins, etc. Don't want to lose entries on BB since there are tons. Just need to get them to Outlook. Any help is appreciated.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Pearl 8120 and Outlook 2007. I have been synching between the 2 for about 1 1/2 years without a problem. Today, with no settings changed, I synched and now my phone still has all the calendar appointments, but all but 40 appointments in the Outlook have vanished...those left are in the current month. But also ALL my recurring appointments, even in the current month are gone from Outlook. This has wiped out my history in Outlook completely. Now no matter how I set up the synch parameters, I cannot get the device to send all the appointments back to Outlook. I have updated the device and the desktop software.

The contacts and memo will configure (although) they are posting to an archive folder and when I try to change that I get Error 0x80043bea), but the Calendar and Tasks will go through the set-up process, but when you finish it, the checkmark on those 2 Outlook folder disappears before you can even select the advance settings.I have re-set the configuration on the Desktop software a couple of times, to no avail, and uninstalled the Desktop 6.0 software and reinstalled it. None of these measures have changed the problem.Any suggestions?

I started to get issues with it so I followed advice and deleted the other calender cical things except for facebook. View 8 Replies View RelatedI have two email addresses registered on my Torch: my business and my private email address. I have set my business email address as default. When syncing with Outlook, it syncs with the default calendar in Outlook and doesn't take over entries I made on the phone.
I tried moving all calendar entries from Default and my private email to the business email address on the Torch but then while syncing it wants to delete all my entries in the Outlook calendar.
When I synchronize my BlackBerry Torch 9800 with Outlook 2010, old items on my calendar disappear from Outlook. Even though these events have passed, I would like to retain them on my calendar as reminders for those dates.
I have tried to find a setting in BlackBerry and in Outlook to stop this from happening, but have been unsuccessful so far.
