Everytime I connect my phone (Razr) to my computer and MotoCast (1.1.70) loads up, I find that the next time I open up Microsoft Outlook (2010) I find that all my categories are deleted!I haven't done a sync yet (i've only just gotten the phone)It's now happened to me 3 times (each time after motocast has loaded up).

View 1 Replies View RelatedI cannot imagine that my BB 8800 with the BB desktop 5.0.1. and the device frim ware 4.5.0.174 isn't able to sync the MS outlook 2007 categories with the BB canlendar. Where is the trick? I'm sure that there is a RIM solution.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI've recently noticed a problem with the Desktop Manager when trying to sync Outlook contacts that are assigned to multiple categories.
1. I have setup a filter to only synchronize contacts where the category equals Personal or Business.
2. The rules is set to "one of more conditions must be met"
3. In Outlook I have some contacts that are assigned to multiple categories, for example Personal and Family
4. These contacts are not being sync'd to my device
Just got a 9700 to help re work but when syncing with Outlook 2002 the tasks do not appear under any categories. Is there a way of doing this, or is there an App that lets me?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI successfully upgraded to DM6 recently. Frankly I use DM only to sync contacts, because I need to sync three Outlook contact folders, and the wireless sync will sync no more than one contact folder.
After the first sync, for some of my contacts, their photo had disappeared - but only in Outlook, they're still there in the handheld's address book.I've tried to deduct why some photos get deleted and most not, but can't see any logic. Apparently the handheld reports (falsely) that there is no picture for that contact, causing Outlook to delete it. I am afraid that the next sync will make those photos disappear from the handheld, too.
I've searched on a number of forums but didn't find anything on this bug. I hope someone can help me out to fix this. Of course I do have backups of the contact folders, but I need to make sure that after laboriously repairing the affected contacts, the photos will not disappear again at sync.Dell Precision 380 running Win7 with Outlook 2k7 connected to Exchange 2k7 and a BES. The handheld is a Bold 9700 with firmware v5.0.0.545. The DM syncs over USB.
When I do a backup with Desktop, it truncates all calendar items older than 60 days even though I have selected the "keep them forever" option. I need at least one year because all the anniversaries and birthdays I enter will disappear every 60 days.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have it set up on my PC where I have 3 folders shared. I have a Movies folder, I have a TV Shows folder, and I have a Mixsets folder. I like to listen to DJ mixsets that can be rather large, anywhere from 50MB to 150MB in size. I can access my movies/tv shows off my PC at home just fine when I'm on a wireless network. I just go into Gallery>MotoCast and there i have my TV shows in one folder and Movies in another folder. The folder I named Dj Mixsets does not show up in either Gallery or Music app.That's fine cause when I go to the Files app, I can see all three folders on my PC. From there, I can still access my TV Shows and Movies just fine. But when I try to listen to any of the mixsets, it says Cannot connect to network, please try again. This is weird cause the Droid shows my home PC as "Online". Is it because the music files are really large that it won't play? MotoCast can play larger size video files no problem.
View 4 Replies View RelatedMotocast app was preloaded on new razr. I manually loaded motocast software on desktop and laptop. Motocast working great for getting pictures to and from desktop & laptop. I called tech suppoirt for email problem and was told to update my device to the latest OS. I did this and after rebooting device, there was no motocast app/logo and no USB selection window. I now can not download pics and can only upload files from my desktop and laptop.

Music, photos and documents all present and available all the time.But my iTunes playlists are not. Major bummer. MotoCast playback quality is far superior to G-music, but I really need my playlists!Itunes data folders are all in the normal places. The MotoCast docs clearly say that iTunes playlists are usable and in one place says expressly, "Note: Currently MotoCast Wireless supports playlists from iTunes only."
View 11 Replies View RelatedAfter updating to ics motocast wants to install on my pc and does not give me an option to say no and not have it show again, like the vista start screen. I decided to install motocast and just ignore it but when I rebooted it started my browser with a video for backup assistant after looking thru msconfig and regedit I believe this program to be malware like microsoft security 2012 or many other softwares that use extortion to sell their product. I am not questioning the validity of the backup software but rather the way it like motocast doesn't give me an option. When I called Verizon they said it was a Motorola problem so can someone please tell me how to get this MALWARE from loading! I did get the browser to stop loading after removing all of motocast via add/remove.

We have installed the software on the computer (a Macbook Pro) and skipped the wireless setup (because we are only interested in USB syncing at this time). But when we connect the phone, all we get is a message, "Please wait while MotoCast USB loads your content."

In the calendar, only SOME of my appointments show up. I figured out that it is certain categories that don't make it through... Personal, Networking, etc don't work but Business, Vacation, Firm Event, etc do. It's quite strange.

If I connect my Xoom to my PC and transfer files, as soon as I reach 4GB utilized storage on the SD card, all files gets disappeared, and moved into the LOST.DIR (renamed).If I unmount the card, put it into my PC, and copy files to it, as soon as I mount this SD in my Xoom all files that were copied to the SD after it reached 4GB in utilized storage, they just get deleted (nothing in the LOST.DIR). Even if I will mark these files as Read-Only they still get deleted.
View 10 Replies View RelatedSo I've had this phone for about 5,6 months with different problems over the course of my time with the phone.Was wondering if anyone has had the same problems and if there are any solutions. So first, sometimes my phone will randomly delete contacts from my phone and place them in the "hidden" folder. I haven't hidden them, but I've gotten text from people and be unsure who it is,but then find out it is someone that I know and who has been in my phone.Also, since my contacts are synced with facebook,it will randomly delete the FB picture to my contact so instead of it showing their default picture on facebook in my contacts, it just shows the blank face. In the past it has deleted the picture and will eventually come back after a coule of days or weeks but currently it has deleted multiple of my contacts pictures and has yet to come back. I dont know if I am accidentally hitting something or if there is a way to prevent this but it is aggravating. Also, sometimes if I go to send a text message, say for instance to Sally Sue,I'll click Sally Sue, send the text but then in my messaging folder it does not show the name "Sally Sue" nor does it show their picture, but just the phone number alone as if I texted someone who was not inputed in my contact list.It eventually goes back to showing the name but it still annoying nonetheless.The last issue is with the gps sattelite that will not shut off and for whatever reason prevents me to use facebook on my phone.I've read that this has been an issue with others in the past and tried some of the suggestions people offered.I have uninstalled FB, reinstalled in, callibrated my phone, taken out the battery, turn on/off, etc and nothing works.Under settings in the securty tab, it is always checked next to GPS Satellites on. I will uncheck it, but it never stays that way, it will always go back to being checked and I can never use my FB app as it will open for like 2 seconds then cut out.

I was looking at the "supported devices" page for the Motocast USB software and it does not include this tablet. At the bottom of the page, it also says "MotoCast USB software works with most but not all of Motorola's Android devices." Is it possible to use it on the FE?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just got my Droid Razr yesterday. I was able to connect it to my PC (windows XP) via USB and transfer some songs. But I cannot set up Motocast wireless, however. Every time I try, it checks for a wireless connection, then goes to a set up Motocast wireless screen. It sits there for a couple of seconds, then the programs just exits.
I have read through the forum, and based on some other recommendations I saw there, I unistalled Java, and went to java.com and downloaded the latest version. I have disabled my Windows Firewall, and stopped Real Time Protection on my Microsoft Security Essentials. Ok, I have scoured the forums and tried everything, but cannot get my MOTOACTV or my BIONIC to be detected by my PC. I'd like to update the MOTOACTV, Steps taken so far:Unistall MOTOCAST ( ver 2.0.23), shut down PC, re-installfactory reset on MOTOACTV Unistall MOTOCAST ( ver 2.0.23), shut down PC, re-install as administratorMOTOACTV is basically factory except for some golf course downloads.I dont show any MOTO devices under mt device manager network connecttions.Also, I have confirmed that the Motorola device manager service is running and evan restarted it.

Trying to setup the MotoActv account on my Droid RAZR and it's giving me "Invalid Credentials" when entering my Motocast ID. When I go to www.motoactv.com I get the same "Invalid Credentials" error as well.
If my Motocast ID works for the mymotocast website shouldnt it also work for the motoactv site?
I have a motoactv. The installation was ok. Everything was going fine, until I tryed to create my MOTOCAST ID. I am connected to the internet, but I always get this kind of message: "the device was not able to connect to the server. Try again in a few minutes."

View 2 Replies View RelatedI can access my NAS drive through my desktop PC using motocast but I want to access the NAS when the desktop is swithced off.I add server using FILES app.I have tried all addresses including router ip and other numerical addresses that are used and recognised by windows.It always asks for a password even though the only password I use on this device is the admin one to access the GUI of the router.Windows XP has no problem accessing this drive without a password or login, in fact it very easily appears in MY NETWORK PLACES.

The only problem I'm having is with the Moto cast. I've done everything, I've installed on my computer. I've created a account, I've added folders. Beside my account user name is a green light. I've verify my e-mail address. When I try to finish set up on my razr and enter the exact e-mail & password I get the same error message.

I hooked my Atrix 4G up to a Windows XP machine today and instead of the old "Motorola Media Link" I'm familiar with it installed MotoCast USB (which I'm assuming is new). The problem is, that when MotoCast USB runs it is in Japanese. I uninstalled the software and then went to www.mymotocast.com and downloaded a the software thinking some wires got crossed on the first install, but the issue is still the same. I don't see anywhere that I can change the localization to English. Has anyone seen this or know how I can get the software to switch to English? I did notice that under the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMotorolaMotorola Media LinkShared it shows a FamilyLanguage of JPN and a LanguageCode of 0x00000411 (1041).

However, it is not showing up in my Motocast list on my computer. Is there a way to upload it to Motocast? Also, I have noticed some duplicate songs, just in Motocast. Do I just have to delete them one at a time?
