View 4 RepliesI'm so glad that I can now sync my Blackberry 8900 with my pc, but calendar entries that I've added to my device are not showing on my pc calendar!
View 5 Replies View RelatedWith my wife, we got 2 BB Curve 8520 and we're now trying to sync both of them with our Outlook 2003 SP3 on XP SP3. Both do the same thing:
1/ First sync goes well, the BB calendar gets filled up,
2/ Everything syncs well during a few days,
3/ One day, the sync tells us it will delete 3000+ elements on Outlook, of course I click Reject and cancel the sync,
4/ I restart OK by synching one-dir from Outlook tp BB,
5/ A few days after, it returns to step 3 and is behaving bad again.
I can't get any durable solution, the only thing I got is a workaround that lasts only a few days.
Our BB version (mine/my wife's) :
- Platform : 4.2.0.118 / 4.2.0.135
- Application : 4.6.1.274 / 4.6.1.314
Have just acquired my first BB Curve 8520 and it's been a total nightmare, it will not sync Contacts from Outlook and although Bluetooth is set to my old Sony Ericsson it will not accept Contacts?

View 2 Replies View RelatedHaving just bought a "Bold 9700" I am new to the BlackBerry-World. I would like to sync my emails (e.g. the emails I wrote and sent on the road) and the adress book entries of the device (software version 5.0.0.423) with "Windows Mail" on my home computer (OS Visa, SP 2). Up to now I couldn't find out how to do this, either with the "Desktop Manager" (version 5.0.1) or with some other piece of software (???). Potentialy it looks like the "DesktopManager" could be up to this task, but the box to check for this is not highlighted, so I can not select this option.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI am running Windows XP SP3 with Outlook 2003. When the syncronisation between my phone (6303ci) runs OVI 2.2.0.241 sometimes hangs whilst preparing for calendar sync. After restarting the the PC entries within the Outlook calendar have lost the text within the entry. i.e. the entry itself still exists but any emailed notes within the file, attached files or links disappear in Outlook. This is very frustrating as meeting agenda and other notes are missing.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI can't sync my address book with Outlook anymore. It gets to "Reading from Microsoft Outlook Address Book - Record 13 of 111 Records" and then stalls out with an error code - 0x80043ac9. Its the same thing EVERY time, but I think it has to be something in the berry, cause I've tried on 2 computers and no go (exactly the same errors). Any idea's what might be wrong, or what I might be able to do to fix this?

View 1 Replies View RelatedNew here and a tad bit upset with my failure to synch the address book. I had it in originally, I used a 'skype out' product to export skype contacts to Outlook, then I usefully synced to Outlook, but had a bunch of repeated addresses. Found a solution to delete address book and to reimport from Outlook. Successfully deleted address book on BB. Tires to sync but now it fails to do so. I have reinstall 1, battery, 2, SIM card, 3 desktop program. The synch starts - to be certain- I even go so far as the option to approve the sync or snot. Then it begins to do the syncing and the countdown of addresses yet to by synced clicks downward, as it should, then there's a 'bink' sound, and then nothing, and I check my BB, and no addresses have moved over. I have tried SEVRAL TIMES even 'syncing all' I have arranged for the synch to be for the addresses only. I have arranged for it to be from the computer to the BB. Hopeless. Extremely frustrated.

View 2 Replies View RelatedUsing Lion, I recently dropped Outlook 2011 in favor of Mail (did not uninstall though, do not want to).My problem is this, iTunes and iPhone won't sync with Address Book, they remain stuck on syncing with the Outlook address book. The issue is only for the address book, the iPhone syncs fine with iCal for some reason.

OVI does copy outlook address and Note fields on its base (and on the Nokia base), but NOT onto the mobile although Memory size is big enough (see later). Sync message is "success". I restarted from scratch to avoid all conflicts (Phone, Ovi and Nokia internet base totally emptied). Sync works OK and copies outlook contacts fully on its own base, but address fields are not copied onto the mobile (Telephone connected via USB)
The only way I found to get them onboard was to copy contacts (drag & drop) from Ovi onto the phone. Unfortunately, this causes all other fields (Phone numbers, E-mail) to be copied again as if they were additional fields and synchronization pushes all theese additional fields on Ovi Data base and Nokia data base. Finally I get a base not usable to be transferred on other phones. I suppose this is because Nokia software does not recognize Telephone 2 or address 2 outlook fields as such. It would be ok with me if I had a way to get all existing outlook address fieds being copied at the beginning. Thanks for any help
I have one calendar that was installed on the Blackberry when purchased. I uploaded an update of the Facebook App, now all of my entries are gone in the calendar that were in sync with my gmail address. I have the 8350 model and prior to this all calendar entries were saved to my email for gmail- this gmail option has disappeared in the CICAL drop down the only option available is Facebook. I tried to uninstall the Facebook App however that leaves no option for Default Service for the calendar, so the option for default service for my calendar is completely removed. How can I go back to the original settings for my calendar and is it possible to retrieve prior/future entries from the now blank calendar?

My outlook email account is on my device. In other words, emails to my outlook emails address goes to both my outlook and my device.
Is it possible, if I respond to an outlook email on my blackberry for that sent response from my blackberry to be in my sent folder in my outlook. In other words, can I synchronize my device with outlook so that any responses sent on my device regarding outlook emails get reflected in my outlook. I believe you need to have BES - but I don't have that. My device is a personal one - not a corporate one without any connection to a corporate server. Is it possible without BES to do the synchronization?
Can someone clarify as I have been trawling for hours looking for an answer that I understand.
Is it possible to add my Microsft Office Outlook account with my BB 8900 ?
I have tried and tried and getting nowhere on the BIS page.
Not sure if I am entering incorrect info but after 3 hours of trying I thought I needed help?

BB 8900 (replacement just delivered...and the problem below started)
Device OS 5.0.0.411
Device Manager 5.0.1.37
Default Services: <my primary email> (I also have a second BIS email attached, but the CICAL for that one has been deleted.)
After struggling for days to get rid of the Device Default calendar (in addition to the calendar associated with my primary email and which is set as default under Default Services), I finally got my whole BB calendar on to the one calendar it should be on: the one associated with my primary email. And lo and behold, the Device Default disappeared. hallelujah, I thought.
Having cleared out the calendar using Device Manager, I then opted for a one way sync from Outlook to my new BB with its one and only calendar now, the calendar associated with my primary email and listed as the default under Default Services.....
Is there a fix for this problem? If I read my messages first on my Blackberry and then later open Outlook - the message is coverted to plain text in Outlook. This is annoying when I usually reply to the messages from Outlook and want them to be in HTML format.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an issue with the way PC suite works and having tried OVI I find it no better, generally the sync is not working in that the PC suite contacts list does not mirror the entries in Outlook. OK I've checked all the settings.Whatever the problem is I can live with it but what gets me is that there does not seem to be any way of getting Nokia to own up and offer any help, unless I'm missing the point here. Surely as the creators of the software they should be offering help to solve the problems of faulty software. All the entries in the forum seem to come from intersted users of the product not the originators.

Somehow my Bold made a duplicate entry for each address I have in my address book. I don't know how or why this happened, but now when I go to sync my device with Outlook, it wants to put all those duplicated addresses on my desktop. Is there a way to delete duplicate entries in my address book?
