Aug 18, 2015I'm on a Nexus 5 running Lollipop. Can't tell you exactly which version since my settings icon is gone! but it's either the latest one or one behind.

Google Nexus 5 :: Settings App Has Disappeared
Aug 31, 20151. My settings app has disappeared from my Nexus 5. I was running Lollipop with an unlocked/rooted phone (done with the excellent Nexus root toolkit).
2. I tried to factory reset the phone but the settings app is still missing. I cannot install or sideload anything because everything requires USB debugging to be turned on, which requires me to change the Settings!

Mar 29, 2010Each time my phone has to restart or reboot, my email icon which is AOL(green envelope w/ a blue AOL/logo @ bottom of envelope) disappears and the standard icon appears in home screen. Before to get it back, i go to email setup and delete it then add it back, then AOL icon returns. Now doing it the same way, my green AOL icon does not return anymore! just the standard one, can anybody help on how to get it back? Please!!Thanks!!

Oct 8, 2015so my Nexus 5 just showed a Update Message today saying that Android 6.0 was available. I accepted the terms and started downloading it.After finishing it asked me if i wanted to restart it, when i did nothing happened it just went back o the check for update dialog box. I tried restarting the phone but nothing happens, it does not detect android 6 again and it does not install the one that got downloaded.

Dec 20, 2013I do tons of hangouts with my family and I noticed that I cant select the front camera anymore, just the rear or no camera. Today I looked into it a little further and now I dont have the front camera option within the camera application. It was there like 2 or 3 days ago. Sep 22, 2014I was trying out several different dialer apps. All was going well until I suddenly lost my dialer controls altogether. I tried going back to Hangouts and good dialers, but no luck. I even cleared/rebuilt device cache from the Startup menu.
Here is what's happening:
1. After I dial a number and hit the 'dial' key, it starts dialing. At the same time the dialer app goes away and I cannot get back to call controls. Cannot pull up the numeric pad.
2. From the top pull down menu I used to see a "call in progress" option which took me to the dialer controls. It is not there anymore.
3. The phone rings when I get an incoming call, but there are no controls to pick up or ignore.
Some additional information as this appears to be a tough one:
The last dialer app that may have caused this was 'ExDialer'. After I installed it, it started acting this way. After I uninstalled it and cleared the device cache, it remained the same no matter what dialer I choose.
