Dec 2, 2015Just out of curiosity, What speed do you keep your screen animations at in developer settings?

View 9 RepliesI have developer settings unlocked and i like my phone to go smooth with animation but my phone somehow turns off animation by itself and i need manually to turn it on again.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have an MPow dual USB car charger capable of providing 2.1 amps over both USB ports. It is also able to detect if you are using an iPhone or Android and adjust accordingly. It worked great with my G2. It could fast charge my wife's G2 and my G2 at the same time. However, on my Nexus 5 I just got, it is only charging at USB speed.
View 9 Replies View RelatedSo recently for some reason my Nexus 5 gets stuck on the booting animation. I think it was updating to 6.0.1 or something but I'm not sure, because I just woke up one day and the phone wouldn't boot, and when it finally did it just gets stuck on the boot animation. I've tried to flash stock images and etc but I need an unlocked boot loader and for some reason if the phone doesn't boot completely after unlocking the bootloader, then it gets re-locked. So now my last option is to use the stock recovery to wipe data or something but when I go to the screen with the dead android guy, no combination of buttons seem to make the recovery options show up.
View 4 Replies View Relatednexus 5 was working fine.. After uninstalling few apps i decided to restart the device so so i power off the device and then turn it back on ever since device is stuck at boot animation.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a nexus 5 running on android 6.0.1.I was trying to root it when I found that the 'Enable oem unlock' option present in the developer options is missing on my device.The nexus root toolkitv2.1.0 also failed to detect my device.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy N5 decided suddenly the other day to stop working. I held it, it turned off and on and then the boot animation just continued. I have googled and tried everything I can but it seems to go wrong someplace every time. I tried to wipe it from recovery mode but then it gave this as "error message".

LG Nexus 5 - Lollipop 5.1.1 LMY48B
Unlocked bootloader;
Rooted;
ClockWorkmod 6.0.4.5 (not flashed - just boot on image when used);
I've made a nandroid backup with cwm. Backed Up the files to notebook via adb pull. Then, wiped factory reset (in cwm) and flashed Developer Preview of android M. Boot on android M works like a charm. Then, made an android M nandroid backup with cwm. Backed up these files to notebook via adb pull.
Then, bring back the files of first nandroid backup to device, via adb push. Pushed the correct folder to /data/media/clockworkmod/backup.

-Boot in cwm, made a wipe factory reset (in cwm).
-Flashed again 5.1.1 image files (boot, radio, bootloader, system and cache).
-Reboot in cwm.
-Now, restore nandroid backup (the 5.1.1 one).
Everything looks good, and no error messages by now. But when reboot, I've got a stuck on logo animation. It took a half hour or more, and nothing. There’s nothing to do about it.
I tried found a solution, but the main thing I've heard is to flash 5.1.1 again. I did it, and works. I can bring back to a brand new installation. But I can't use anymore my nandroid backup.
Trying to port a custom Xperia Z1 Rom to Nexus 5.This custom Rom has all features from Xperia Z5.
Edit : Advanced, see logcat
Edit 2 : fixed mediadrm fatal crash. Now, i need to fix SDCARD
Edit 3 : seems i need to fix sound
Edit 4 : Booting, as logcat says.
The problem is : Google Logo stays displayed. Bootanimation doesnt displays and so, it seems it prevents phone from displaying Setup Wizard, and Android UI. Maybe the problem is "libsecureui.so" dlopen failed.
I am running the Purity Rom on my Nexus 5. Now I wanted to change my boot animation. I wanted to know if Purity allows me to change the boot animation and what is the quickest and safest way to do this. And one last question is changing the boot animation risky?
View 4 Replies View RelatedA friend asked me to look at his Nexus 5. It seemed as though his son was trying to flash a custom rom but somewhere along the way things went wrong and it got stuck on the boot animation.
I tried resetting it to factory using this thread. Followed method 2 and finished it up with "Wipe data/factory data" reset. I did not however relock the boot loader.
I used the factory image 6.0.1 (MMB29S).
Everything went well, no errors, but even after doing all that the phone is still stuck on the boot animation. I tried redoing the "Wipe data/factory data" reset, but the phone is still stuck on boot animation. I left for around 20 minutes with no change.
All the other threads I have read seem to indicate doing the "wipe data/factory data" reset should correct this issue but it hasn't seemed to work.
Have had my Nexus 5 for 4 days, and i noticed the other day that when i press the sleep button the power-down screen animation no longer happens. i dont really know the official term but it looks like an old CRT TV turning off, thats the best way i can describe it. so instead the screen just goes black. This really is not a problem just something i noticed and was curious about.
View 5 Replies View RelatedThen i installed Pure Nexus rom and it was working fine. Then i installed Elemental X kernal, didn't change anything from stock options other than double tap 2 wake, and it would stay forever in the boot animation. Not a boot loop, but the animation with the circles.
So i figured, i had a TWRP backup from before i rooted and all that and restored from that, still same never ending boot animation
EDIT::: I unchecked selinux enforcing but i still get the same issue. I noticed when trying to restore from recovery it would reboot when trying to flash the system, and that it would not be able to flash the system while trying to install pure nexus rom.
So I updated to Marshmallow from Lollipop via fastboot on my Mac. Upon installing SuperSU and rebooting, I got stuck on the boot animation. Cache wipe and factory reset - still no go, and after the factory reset, I lost TWRP. I tried installing it again only to receive a black screen when rebooting into recovery mode. Tried another factory reset and reinstalled Marshmallow - same issue. I have contacted Google and there's nothing they can do.
View 4 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to prevent or disable using the shortcut settings from the lock screen?
This person could easily turn the screen on, flop the screen down twice, use the short cut settings to turn off the Cellular data, preventing me from finding my phone using the device manager on the web.
Isn't this a security issue?
I am using LG Nexus 5, Android 5.0.1.
I've noticed that Android 5.0 allows to change many system settings (enable/disable WiFi/BlueTooth/Autorotate/etc) on its Lock Screen without entering any password.
I hate this liberty. How to disable this feature? I cannot find anything in settings.
I just installed Nameless ROM and am having trouble setting the CPU speeds. I've tried with Device control (built in) and then with No Frills CPU, both with root access, and have not had any success setting my CPU speed. When I set anything on minimum, I exit the app and when I return it goes back to its original value (1574). Same thing with No Frills. I have BusyBox installed and the latest version of SuperSu. I do not have a custom Kernel, but my experience in the past has been quite similar with Franco Kernel and ElementalX kernel across a number of different ROMs.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have N5 with latest Marshmallow updates (November 2015) rooted with ElementalX kernel installed. I have a very strange issue that while playing any local (not streaming) audio file, it plays with double or triple of its speed.
I used several apps to make sure it's not application based issue, the same occurs.
I love my Nexus 5. It's blazing fast and does everything I need but I have one small problem with it. In the latest update (4.4.4) Google updated the Dialer App. The UI is amazing but there's a thing about the app that annoys me a lot.
I have set 5 of my closest friends which I call a lot on Speed Dial/Favourites.
However, every time I call anyone else in my contacts they automatically get added to the same Speed Dial menu and I have to manually clear those by clicking "clear frequents" or removing them one by one. Is there a way to disable this annoying feature?
1. My settings app has disappeared from my Nexus 5. I was running Lollipop with an unlocked/rooted phone (done with the excellent Nexus root toolkit).
2. I tried to factory reset the phone but the settings app is still missing. I cannot install or sideload anything because everything requires USB debugging to be turned on, which requires me to change the Settings!
So for the Google camera apps when you taking a picture, do you usually leave a flash on automatic setting or on always setting? I have known as in them settings or sometimes even at night time before you tap the screen wants to manually focus the flash doesn't go off
View 10 Replies View RelatedI was running a website online that says if you have adaptive brightness turned on to non set your brightness turned into minimal level because it'll make the screen go blank and dark pretty much. For all the people on the forum that have adapter brightness turned on, what is your brightness level setting at? Mines at about at say 35 percent or as it lines up with the Wi-Fi symbol on the quick toggle settings menu.

View 3 Replies View RelatedOne thing that I miss from CyanogenMod is the ability to add things to the quick settings menu. Is there an app available that will allow you to modify the quick settings menu on stock Android? My phone is rooted so but otherwise it's stock. I don't miss the instability of CyanogenMod, just that one feature, so I don't want to install a custom ROM, I just want to add a couple of things to the quick settings menu.
