I have an MPow dual USB car charger capable of providing 2.1 amps over both USB ports. It is also able to detect if you are using an iPhone or Android and adjust accordingly. It worked great with my G2. It could fast charge my wife's G2 and my G2 at the same time. However, on my Nexus 5 I just got, it is only charging at USB speed.
View 9 RepliesI just installed Nameless ROM and am having trouble setting the CPU speeds. I've tried with Device control (built in) and then with No Frills CPU, both with root access, and have not had any success setting my CPU speed. When I set anything on minimum, I exit the app and when I return it goes back to its original value (1574). Same thing with No Frills. I have BusyBox installed and the latest version of SuperSu. I do not have a custom Kernel, but my experience in the past has been quite similar with Franco Kernel and ElementalX kernel across a number of different ROMs.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have N5 with latest Marshmallow updates (November 2015) rooted with ElementalX kernel installed. I have a very strange issue that while playing any local (not streaming) audio file, it plays with double or triple of its speed.
I used several apps to make sure it's not application based issue, the same occurs.
I love my Nexus 5. It's blazing fast and does everything I need but I have one small problem with it. In the latest update (4.4.4) Google updated the Dialer App. The UI is amazing but there's a thing about the app that annoys me a lot.
I have set 5 of my closest friends which I call a lot on Speed Dial/Favourites.
However, every time I call anyone else in my contacts they automatically get added to the same Speed Dial menu and I have to manually clear those by clicking "clear frequents" or removing them one by one. Is there a way to disable this annoying feature?
I have just recently jumped over from the iphone 4s to the new HTC One, and its amazing. I have owned 1 previous android phone which was the galaxy s2 which wasnt great.
I have just one query regarding the htc one, which is the amount of time it takes to charge it. Now maybe its me as the iphone used to charge really quickly even from flat to full, but after owning the htc for a week, it does seem to take alot longer to charge up. This is also using the main plug to the phone.

Changing CPU speed. I noticed that 6P may not overheat but that's only because it throttles. I was wondering if shuting down two of its main cores would enable the other two run faster thus achieving better overall performance.

My Nexus 5 won't charge - the battery is showing a lightening strike *as though* it is charging, but when you go into the battery screen, it says "not charging".
When you first plug it in (if in the battery screen) it will go from "AC Charging" to "not charging" although nothing has changed.

The local company offers until 1Mb/sec download speed, but most of the time it comes with only 200b/sec. Sending is with 128Kb/sec, but the max download speed is 52Kb/sec. I think itīs somewhere in the drivers, but unfortunately I donīt know where. I was 3 times with the local phone company, but they cannīt (will not) help me. Anybody knows an answer?

View 11 Replies View RelatedI felt like there was no difference with the speed of the ip4 than my 3gs. I gave my 3gs to my daughter and the other night she needed to me get her signed up for netflix. There is a significant difference. I thought she had did something to cause the speed to slow down so I restored her phone It was a little faster but not like my ip4. She doesn't have the jailbreak because for some reason I can't jailbreak her phone. I do have the jailbreak and even though I notice a slight lag it is still faster at opening apps than the 3gs. I knew there was a difference in the display but I didn't realize it was so big of a difference. I sometimes wonder did I just jump on board with buying the ip4 because besides the hardware it wasn't that big of a difference. But now I see there is a huge difference. The 3gs is a great phone but the ip4 is a much better phone. It is smoother and definitely faster and you can't beat the retina display. And by the way I never had any problems with the antenna because I immediately put my phone in a case for protection even before I heard about atennagate and I always use a bluetooth or headset for my phone so if I have the issue with the ps I never noticed.

I would kindly ask for some support concerning my iPhone GS: The smartphone runs with the latest firmware and its memory capacity is still around 50% of the maximum (btw: it is not cracked and I do not want to do that). It seems to me that the processing speed gets worse every day.
Opening apps can quite take a while and so are any actions including some text input (e.g. task planners).
Could it be that this is due to the permanent connection to cloud services like Dropbox or Exchange Server (for email, tasks, and notes)?

I have heard tips on how to speed it up, but some said they didn't work on Macs (one in sig) or that they didn't work at all. I think I have all the apps on my iPhone on my MBP, so I don't see how that would be a problem (I got the computer recently and transferred all purchases). I heard the 'Disable Sending Reports to Apple' thing didn't work on Macs. So anyway can anyone share their tips on how to make it faster?
