I have just recently jumped over from the iphone 4s to the new HTC One, and its amazing. I have owned 1 previous android phone which was the galaxy s2 which wasnt great.
I have just one query regarding the htc one, which is the amount of time it takes to charge it. Now maybe its me as the iphone used to charge really quickly even from flat to full, but after owning the htc for a week, it does seem to take alot longer to charge up. This is also using the main plug to the phone.
I have an MPow dual USB car charger capable of providing 2.1 amps over both USB ports. It is also able to detect if you are using an iPhone or Android and adjust accordingly. It worked great with my G2. It could fast charge my wife's G2 and my G2 at the same time. However, on my Nexus 5 I just got, it is only charging at USB speed.
I took a 21 hr trip w/ no recharge. Battery completely drained. Since then...
-BB will not charge. -I have BB desk manager, have removed battery and replaced, purchased new battery, purchased new a/c cord. -charging does not work via USB to PC, USB to Auto, USB to A/C. any suggestions? -Unit has never been wet, nor dropped. -Carrier is T-Mobile
Having issues with their Nexus 5 not charging, or at the very least charging super slowly?
Mine has been plugged in for about 3 hours and only charged up about 10%. Could it be a teething issue (it's the first charge out of the box) or something worth contacting Google about?
there is no charging symbol to show my phone is charging , the battery life increases but no symbol , im using a wall socket inlet also tried the usb cable as well.
When I open my phone app on my Nexus 5 the first thing that shows up is Speed Dial my contacts are on coloured tiles how do I change the colour of these tiles to what I want
While driving I like to use Google Map and Trapster to track my route, traffic and speed traps. As the apps track movement, I expected the maps to scroll smoothly. While occassionally I see a smooth transition, much of the time, there is a lengthy delay where a portion of the map is white, while it waits to draw the new area. Is this delay a result of the Storm 2 hardware, or is it associated with download/network speed as the device has to download a new map each time you travel to a new area? Sometimes it can take several minutes to redraw the new map-- so I'm thinking it may be related to network speed in different areas as you travel.
Today the dialing features on my relatively new (summer 2009) Storm started going strange. When in the phone dialing screen, if I press and hold a number key with an associated speed dial number, the phone would dial another number elsewhere on the speed dial list (e.g. press and hold "3" made the phone speed dial the phone number assigned to "5"). After removing and replacing the battery and rebooting, the trouble didn't clear. In fact, things got stranger. The phone would not dial voicemail when the "1" key was held down (even though the speed dial list still listed the correct number, etc.) When I cleared and tried to refill my speed dial list, no number keys on the keypad would make the speed dial spring into action. But, pressing and holding the "3" key did make the phone ask if I wished to assign a speed dial to the number "5" as though that were the key I'd been pressing.Suggestions?
My former Android phone had an app that was able to speed dial one of 8 people even when the phone was locked. It appeared on the lock screen and was able to dial one of 8 numbers with a single press and swipe. It dialed based on the direction of the swipe.
Is there something similar for Windows 10 Phone? I'd rather not need to unlock the phone in order to dial one of my most called contacts.
It doesn't have to be an app that behaves exactly like this. Just curious how others have efficiently handled speed-dial.
I found a note (probably on xda developers, I'm not sure) that you can put 64 GB Micro SD inside Xperia Mini, but the phone will (among others) run VERY SLOWLY.
I don't want to try 64 GB, but I thought about 32 GB class 10 card (now I am using 16 GB, class 10). Should I expect any slowdown of my phone?
Noticed very slow WiFi post the 5.1 update? I have done several speed tests and am getting under 1 mbps. My laptop and desktop both on the same wireless connection are pulling over 8 mbps.
I just received my new Lumia 900 yesterday. Searched the forum for an answer, bot no luck. Question is,can the one assign contacts to the phone speed-dial as on previous phones (in my case Nokia E7).?
I'm currently having issues with my nokia n82.when i put in the charger, it doesn't seem to charge my phone. It says "charging", but it doesn't really charge. The battery bar just stays the same.and my warranty just expired...
2 days ago, it did state that it had problems with not charging when on, i did try to fix it the charge port was dirty so i cleaned it and it worked but now today it stopped so i tried cleaning it again with a toothpick and an air compressor the pin isn't damaged as well could it be the actual charger connector inside the phone. Ireally like charging my phone when on and you know ACTUALLY using it instead of waiting.
My phone has had its fair share of bad charging ports. I have had to turn it on one side and another before to get it to work. But now I cannot even charge it at all. My phone is not receiving any charge at all and is currently dead. My father has his own and we know that the phone can be charged but is not wanting to get charged.
I have a problem with my blackberry. A couple of weeks ago it stopped charging via wall socket charger. After trying a couple of different chargers and still not charging I contacted my service provider who brought it in for repair. After about a week I received the phone back from repair. They did not repair the phone because they said it would be a chargeable repair. I asked them what the fault was and they said the charging port on the phone had water damage but I can't see how because it has been no where near water. I tried the phone again with different chargers but still would not charge. I then tried a usb charger via pc and the phone now charges with no problems. So now I'm charging the phone with a plug in socket with usb connection. I Phoned my service provider to say the phone is charging via usb and the phone must have a hardware fault, But they are still saying that the phone is damaged and it is a chargeable repair. I can't see how if it is charging normally via a usb. Please can you confirm if the phone would have a hardware problem.
I plugged the phone in at about 15% and I started to play a little game. Not sure how long I was playing maybe 10-15 minutes. When I looked the battery was at 6%. Phone was on the charger! I then exited the game and put the phone down and started some cleaning. About 10 minutes later I went back and the phone was down to 2%!!! I couldn't understand what happened. This is exactly what was happening with my s3 before I switched to this phone. I unplugged the phone to make sure it was plugged in correctly. When I unplugged I got the notice that there was no power left and it shut down. I can't even tell what was running or if the game was still running.
i've been using HTC ONE. "ONE" of the best phone till date i've ever used. Am completely happy with the performance and looks. But from last week it stoped charging and even when i connect it to my mac itz not reading ! I havn't even dropped it even once ! The only time it getz charged is when the battery is completely drained off and wen the mobile goes off by itself. And that time when i keep it for charging, it gets charged but the red light (charging notification) keepz blinking instead of being stable. So for past few dayz i've been charging the phone this way and have to wait for the battery to drain off completely and then keep it for charging. But still the usb is not reading wen i connect it to my mac.
While charging the phone last night, it had reached a full charge and I heard the notification for so. I unplugged the phone and it was unresponsive to knock to wake, and the power buttons. I tried plugging the phone back in to charge, but it will not recognize it. I have tried holding down every button combination to turn on the phone, but it never even starts the boot animation. I have also tried removing the battery and plugging in the phone hoping to eliminate the battery from the equation to no avail.
My LG G4 has been acting strange, it has been not responding to touch , freezing up and now not charging giving me the use standard charger to charge faster but won't charge.
I have LG G4. I turn off my phone then plug in the wall charger. After a couple seconds i get the battery icon with moving dots indicating charging. Then a few seconds more the phone turns on. Can I charge with phone off?
My LG G3 is a great phone, I've had it for two months (almost) with no problems... But this is the second time that, when it's plugged in and "says" it's charging, it stalls at X percentage (last time was 33%; now it's stalled at 27%). I've tried switching outlets; and while it worked last time, it's not working this time. Needless to say, I am panicked. This phone is brand new and shouldn't be doing this. Is it possible that it could be the charger? The port hasn't been messed with, no new apps have been installed, I haven't even dropped the phone yet.
Update: It is now charging from an outlet that "didn't work" the other day. I am starting to hypothesize that it's the charger that is the culprit.
I've tried once charging my phone in the car but it didnt work, today i had a important call and boom shutting down..
I plugged in my phone via usb to charge and only red light was on. Nothing showed. Not even a screen with blinking battery. The phone charges via wall charger, dock, pc. My sw3 charges through cars usb but my phone doesn't is it phone or car?
Just got the G4 last night and I bought a quick charger 2.0, but just wondering if there is a way to know that it is fast charging. Should it say so on the screen? I remember my buddy's Gflex 2 saying it, but mine doesn't.
Just got a Wireless Qi sticker from a china site. However, it doesn't seem to work.
1) Testing this on a Samsung Wireless Charger (the flat disc) and it doesn't work. My wife's Galaxy S6 works perfectly though. 2) NFC on the LG G4 works perfectly though.
my phone stopped charging using the wall charger that came with the phone. I then tried using the charge cord to charge the phone from my laptop - which worked for a time. Now, very rarely does my computer charge the phone, and when it does, it charges on - then off. it will charge for a while then just stop.
I have purchased new "authentic" Galaxy S5 chargers, and tried multiple other charging cords so i KNOW it is not a cord issue. I have removed the battery and replaced it. I have cleared the cache by holding the power, home and volume key then selecting "clear cache".My phone is about 7 months old. I believe that the problem began after the last update.
what is the model of the charging pod for the 9700 cant find it on rims website and want to buy one. but there so many different kinds and theyt all look alike and some say the model on the packaging and others say for blackberry
i was interested in this one since i have a friend whos a manager at future shop: URL...
I don't know what happened to my phone, it was working fine last night. I went to bed with it fully charged and not plugged in but still on, woke up this morning and plugged it in and got nothing. It won't charge. It was at about 50% battery and when I plugged in the USB cord nothing happens, tried plugging it into the computer still nothing. I've tried using multiple cables, using the stock one which it charged on last night and forever next to my couch fine.
After some troubleshooting I noticed that when I plug it in with it turned off, it does charge. This sucks though, I can't keep my phone off while it charges. Also tried plugging it into the computer while it's turned off and it says USB device not recognized. I plug my phone into my computer all the time so I know it's not a question of the drivers not being installed.
