May 13, 2014I have an MPow dual USB car charger capable of providing 2.1 amps over both USB ports. It is also able to detect if you are using an iPhone or Android and adjust accordingly. It worked great with my G2. It could fast charge my wife's G2 and my G2 at the same time. However, on my Nexus 5 I just got, it is only charging at USB speed.

Jan 29, 2010The Samsung Impact comes with some default wallpapers that cycle through as a slideshow when you lock your phone. Is there a way to delete these? I hate having little flowers and what not when I lock my phone. I tried Samsung Customer Service (e-mail is useless, they don't read the request) and when I called they said they'd have someone contact me back but of course no one ever did (this was over a month ago).

Jan 29, 2010I recently got the Samsung Impact from Bell Canada and I've been trying to use Samsung New PC Studio to back it up. The problem is Windows XP won't find the proper drivers for it. The Samsung website says to point the Hardware Wizard to folder '1' in the PC Studio folder for the USB driver for SAMSUNG CDMA Technologies but it's not finding the proper drivers.Has anyone had any luck doing a back up for this phone? I can't find anything online at all.

Samsung :: IMPACT Games Apps Using Data Cable
Jun 22, 2010i (987456321) have been unable to put games on my Samsung impact T746 (also called a Samsung highlight T749) since i have got it. i have looked around and tried all the methods and they did not work (for me anyway) so after mixing in things i heard around the interwebs i found out how to make it work for me. i put together a little tutorial on what i did and how i made it work. this is probably a total repeat of what someone else has said, but it might save someone some time and effort (and a trip to the store because they did something wrong, like me)
1. get the .jar for your game
2. use jadgen to make a .jad to go with that .jar file
3. plug your Samsung Impact into your computer
4. run samsung pc studio
5. open task manager and under process's delete ************ (i can not remember the name of the file, i will update when i can) this will make pc studio able to find the phone
6. now go back to pc studio and try to find phone, when you find your phone close pc studio
7. open tkfileexplorer (v2.2 works for me)
8. click settings>com>default, a COM* should appear in the Port spot
9. click ok, now connect to phone
10. on the bottom half to go exe>Java>Games
11. make a new folder (should be your games name) and put the jad and jar in there
12. repeat 11 for as many games/apps you have.
13. disconnect and unplug your phone.
14. go onto your Impact and touch "phone"
15. dial "*#6984125*#" you should be taken to a menu
16. click internals and type in *#9072641*# and hit ok
17. If clicking ok does not work (seems unresponsive to your clicks) turn your phone in the horizontal texting position and then try clicking ok
18. click storage settings, then update java DB
19. wait for it to finish then exit and go to your game folder, have fun

Oct 23, 2011I just wanted confirmation as to whether or not Photon users who are affected by the failed update can utilize the Lapdock 100 still (as one of the things stated in the update was Lapock support). I would figure that we should still be able to use the dock because the other docks have been out for a while now and they too use webtop, however I wanted to be sure before I purchased the dock if possible (as I want to pick up the dock as soon as possible).

Sep 4, 2010I felt like there was no difference with the speed of the ip4 than my 3gs. I gave my 3gs to my daughter and the other night she needed to me get her signed up for netflix. There is a significant difference. I thought she had did something to cause the speed to slow down so I restored her phone It was a little faster but not like my ip4. She doesn't have the jailbreak because for some reason I can't jailbreak her phone. I do have the jailbreak and even though I notice a slight lag it is still faster at opening apps than the 3gs. I knew there was a difference in the display but I didn't realize it was so big of a difference. I sometimes wonder did I just jump on board with buying the ip4 because besides the hardware it wasn't that big of a difference. But now I see there is a huge difference. The 3gs is a great phone but the ip4 is a much better phone. It is smoother and definitely faster and you can't beat the retina display. And by the way I never had any problems with the antenna because I immediately put my phone in a case for protection even before I heard about atennagate and I always use a bluetooth or headset for my phone so if I have the issue with the ps I never noticed.

Jun 27, 2012I would kindly ask for some support concerning my iPhone GS: The smartphone runs with the latest firmware and its memory capacity is still around 50% of the maximum (btw: it is not cracked and I do not want to do that). It seems to me that the processing speed gets worse every day.
Opening apps can quite take a while and so are any actions including some text input (e.g. task planners).
Could it be that this is due to the permanent connection to cloud services like Dropbox or Exchange Server (for email, tasks, and notes)?

May 2, 2010My iPhone backup takes around an hour! I'm only using like 6 gigs on it, and I don't know why it would take so long. I have heard tips on how to speed it up, but some said they didn't work on Macs (one in sig) or that they didn't work at all. I think I have all the apps on my iPhone on my MBP, so I don't see how that would be a problem (I got the computer recently and transferred all purchases). I heard the 'Disable Sending Reports to Apple' thing didn't work on Macs. So anyway can anyone share their tips on how to make it faster? I have lost backups before, so I really like to keep everything backed up since things can go wrong fairly easily with hacked iPhones. It's a 3G.
