Apr 2, 2011I have a Samsung Highlight T749. I bought a replacement oem touch screen. The add said it was easy to do but I am having difficulty locating where the touch screen wire connects to. When I took the old screen off, the wires just came right up and I didn't see where they connect to. I think I have to take the phone apart even futher, but am afraid I might break something since I don't know how it is supposed to come apart.

Jan 29, 2010The Samsung Impact comes with some default wallpapers that cycle through as a slideshow when you lock your phone. Is there a way to delete these? I hate having little flowers and what not when I lock my phone. I tried Samsung Customer Service (e-mail is useless, they don't read the request) and when I called they said they'd have someone contact me back but of course no one ever did (this was over a month ago).

Jan 29, 2010I recently got the Samsung Impact from Bell Canada and I've been trying to use Samsung New PC Studio to back it up. The problem is Windows XP won't find the proper drivers for it. The Samsung website says to point the Hardware Wizard to folder '1' in the PC Studio folder for the USB driver for SAMSUNG CDMA Technologies but it's not finding the proper drivers.Has anyone had any luck doing a back up for this phone? I can't find anything online at all.

Dec 7, 2010I have a samsung lock from bell yesterday i played with my phone went into the *#7986421*# and clicked on debug in the admin config and it gave me a blue screen about updater something and stayed like this then i removed the battery and the phone won't turn on now
all i see the t746 samsung logo but at 3/4 when the line gets filled up the phones turns off and will do the same cycle again and again if i plug the phone on...

Samsung :: IMPACT Games Apps Using Data Cable
Jun 22, 2010i (987456321) have been unable to put games on my Samsung impact T746 (also called a Samsung highlight T749) since i have got it. i have looked around and tried all the methods and they did not work (for me anyway) so after mixing in things i heard around the interwebs i found out how to make it work for me. i put together a little tutorial on what i did and how i made it work. this is probably a total repeat of what someone else has said, but it might save someone some time and effort (and a trip to the store because they did something wrong, like me)
1. get the .jar for your game
2. use jadgen to make a .jad to go with that .jar file
3. plug your Samsung Impact into your computer
4. run samsung pc studio
5. open task manager and under process's delete ************ (i can not remember the name of the file, i will update when i can) this will make pc studio able to find the phone
6. now go back to pc studio and try to find phone, when you find your phone close pc studio
7. open tkfileexplorer (v2.2 works for me)
8. click settings>com>default, a COM* should appear in the Port spot
9. click ok, now connect to phone
10. on the bottom half to go exe>Java>Games
11. make a new folder (should be your games name) and put the jad and jar in there
12. repeat 11 for as many games/apps you have.
13. disconnect and unplug your phone.
14. go onto your Impact and touch "phone"
15. dial "*#6984125*#" you should be taken to a menu
16. click internals and type in *#9072641*# and hit ok
17. If clicking ok does not work (seems unresponsive to your clicks) turn your phone in the horizontal texting position and then try clicking ok
18. click storage settings, then update java DB
19. wait for it to finish then exit and go to your game folder, have fun

Jun 23, 2010So I have a Samsung impact with virgin mobile and PC studio 7. I could not get it to load using the cable so I used Bluetooth. The PC studio can find and pair up my phone no worried but it will not authenticate, even though I select 'yes' when my phones asks me if I want to share with my laptop (running windows 7 home premium 64bit).

Jun 8, 2012With my phone locked, when I receive a text message and swipe it, to automatically go to it, my phone gets stuck at the message screen (where all my conversations are at) and highlights the new message. It is like it is confused because the top left back arrow will say the persons name in it, when i click it to go back it will keep going back to messages but i will never leave the conversations screen, i either have to click on someone elses name or hit home button and come back to it. I know this is very hard to follow so I am going to make a video of it and post soon.
