RIM :: How Come BB Storm Does Not Have PIN Barcode Reader
May 5, 2011Do I have to download an app? I have bbm and my phone is up to date or does my storm not support it ?

BB Bold :: QR Reader/Group Barcode Reader Doesn't Work
Apr 19, 2011I've used the OS5 Blackberry Messenger to scan QR codes on my Bold 9700 and it worked great. Upload OS6 and now it just pops back to the Messenger screen. I've tried soft reboots and hard reboots without any success.

Also iv seen where you hold your camera up to text in a foreign language and it converts it on the screen in to your chosen language. How do i access this on my phone ? Aug 17, 2012I "upgraded" from 9700 to 9900. How disappointing that I can't use it for barcode scanning of books, product upc's or business card scanning. Amazon Price Check app will not even download. I even paid for apps for my old 9700 that I can't use. I expected more from bb as a business tool. I had to buy an Android(ugh) just to operate my Amazon business properly. I am a long time user of bb, but come on bb.

Motorola Droid Razr M :: Camera Does Not Auto-focus In Barcode Scanner
Oct 2, 2012I bought my wife the Razr M from AmazonWireless and she loves the upgrade from her Droid X, but we're having problems with barcode scanners.
When taking pictures using the built in camera app, autofocus works fine. However, when scanning a barcode using any app that supports barcode scanning, the camera never autofocuses and since the barcode is out of focus, it can't be scanned. We've tried it using ZXing Barcode Scanner, the Munzee app, and the walgreens pharmacy app.
I haven't been able to find any reports of others having a similar issue which makes me think it might be a hardware issue.

May 4, 2010My Storm 1 crashed Sunday night with message on screen stating 'Reload Softwares 552'. I called Verizon Tech Support and they just ended up giving me a brand new Storm 2 for free! All I had to do was re-sign my contract for another two years. Gonna miss my Storm 1 but the Storm 2 is sweet! Just got it today. Anyone wanting to upgrade, try using that excuse.

Either they lack some features (like OPML import or timed updates) or have poor usability. Resco News would be acceptable but it appears to crash a lot on my E72. When updating it just exits, as if the process is killed.The app hasn't been updated in over a year or so.

Jun 21, 2015We have card readers connected to our copiers at work linked to Active Directory. So my ID card is registered to the software and tied to my AD account. Friday by mistake I touched my phone on the photocopiers card reader and it said the card wasnt registered. I input my Active Directory details and registered my phone to the software.
Thing is that when I went to log back into the copier with my phones NFC it said that the card wasnt registered. I registered again and tried to log in again but it said again that the NFC wasnt registered.
I logged into the photocopier management software and see that my ID card is there and 2 other entries that seem to be linked to my phones NFC. Is it normal that NFC changes its ID every time or can I set it to be one ID only.
