Since I connected my device to my PC a couple of days ago, the Email notification icon that comes up on my Home screen has changed from the 'speech bubble' to the 'envelope' which is identical to the email notifier. I want to change it back but no one seems to know how to? I have tried my mobile network and they are clueless.
View 4 RepliesI just purchased my first ever samsung phone the other day and I notice the text message notification icon looks 100% identical to the email notification icon. This is extremely annoying to me, can that be changed? I'd prefer to be able to tell those apart when glancing at notifications.
edit: using nova launcher atm but can't seem to find a setting to change this in nova or touchwiz.
Did you notice your rss feeds icon changed? I just noticed mine a few minutes ago. My icon used to be an orange square-looking icon but now it's an abstract-looking yellow-green icon. I didn't update or changed anything on my phone. Is anyone else noticing that? The alert icon which shows when you have a new feed is still orange but when I open the app, the icon on the left of each feed is that abstract-looking yellow green icon.

However, I need to figure out how could I transfer all my data.The blackberry desk manager never did work on my old phone witch. After plugging in the new phone on my PC it asked if I wanted to transfer my data... So I did.I realized that when I was receiving text messages they were looking more like email icons. I dont see anywhere to change this back to the original behavior. I did a hard reset with no luck.So far I love my phone even with the minor annoyances like it hangs for a few seconds after unlocking it everytime, fine I can live with that. But I really want to fix this text message thing
I recently purchased a Touch 9800. the device is running OS 6.0 Bundle 1907. In the notification area (between the Profile icon and serach icon) where it shows the number of text messages, emails, missed calls etc, a symbol has appear that looks like the WiFi symbol but in yellow. Does any know what this notification icon means or where there is a complete list of icons on the web?
View 6 Replies View RelatedThe text message icon normally disappears once I review the notification or read the text message itself. Same for any type of notification. The trouble is that sometimes the notification icon remains. I receive the notification, activate the icon but the icon remains in the notification area. Reactivating it opens a reply screen with the onscreen keboard. Hitting return does not eliminate the notification.
Cannot tell why it happens some times but it appears to only happen with text messsages. The sole solution is to reboot. A nuisance with corrupt icons. Whose problem, the carrier (Rogers) or BB ?
I have a Torch 9800. This is my first blackberry. I download a flash light app. I now have a notification icon that appears to be from the Flashlight app. When I click it it shows me my calender information and nothing about the flash light app. How do I remove this?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI haven't found a resolution to my missing text message icon on my BB Torch. It was there a few days ago but it has since disappeared. I read and tried a few things. It doesn't even show up in the menu (device/delete data) after I sync'd. I do receive messages but without notification. Also the character length is only 28 per message (incoming). Outgoing is OK. Contacts are all there.the SMS in the menu there is ticked. Also I do not receive FaceBook notifications.

When I try to access my text icon I get an error message that says "uncaught exception: java lang,. Index Outofbounds exception" I have no clue what this means or how to fix it - but it is very annoying. When I tap on it, my desktop messages open instead?it used to work fine when I first got the phone. The only way I can write a text is to select a contact from the contacts list and then select to send that person a text message. This all works but is a pain. The phone is what it is and if you don't like it, don't get it! I think the phone works quite well. Each time this happens, I re-favorite it. There doesn't seem to be any ryme or reason for this to happen. I've tried the battery pull a few times. I've done the power down/back up. View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I copy pasted these fancy patterns that I saw in peoples names on bbm, but I copy pasted them from the internet, and after I did that, I noticed that icons had changed in the peoples names, and in place of certain icons there are these wierd oval black icons with writing under it, it also appears when I type in my password for my gmail account. So far I am aware that these bullet dots, - , have been changed into this icon, I've tried reseting the phone and switching it on and off but nothing works. The vibration mode works fine for me (both call and message notifications vibrate only), but sound notification for text messages when I am in the middle of something.
